Allow an option to block streamers channels
So they don't show up when you are looking under games for streams to watch.
It would be great if you ignored a user, their channel didn't show up when you were looking for streams to watch

Seems like owners of Twitch want to decide what to show us. No other reasons for not having that feature for 8 years.
Well, i solved my problem by removing entire "Recommended" block. Because i don't want anyone to "recommend" me anything with tags that imply sexual preferences and orientation. Its a platform for game streaming, why does it have sexual tags that has no relevance to gaming categories and genres?

Isn't this an option now? In the Browse section, if you click the 3 dots on the right, you can click "Not Interested" and it will stop suggesting the streamer; this works on both desktop and mobile.

******** Twitch. This page is more than enough intel on how much (or how little) you care. Burn to the ground.

Another "broken/not working as intended" feature in my eyes is that on channel categories where u can check a certain game and what streams are online for this game. Im interested in World of Tanks game, i open the category and there is a filter "sort by" and i see this three dot button only when i have "recommended for you" active, as soon as i make another filter active, for example "vievers (high to low)" the button dissappears. Why??? If i check "not interested" on a certain streamer then this streamer shouldnt pop up on sidebar or anywhere, since im not interested. Why doesnt this option work on all tabs and catergory listings. Im constantly seeing multiple streamers again and again on my reccomended side bar listing that i have unchecked and still they appear again. And this issue is on every game channel i want to sort streamers and uncheck the ones im not interested in, this option should be available on every page, in every occasion. We are the "customers" of twitch and we should have the SOLE right to decide what we want to see and what not! Fix it once and for all.

I used to manage something like this via the mobile app. It was possible to not recommend a channel from recommendations in the app. The channel would then be removed from desktop recommendations.
I uninstalled the app to save space on my phone so not sure if it still works.
This didn't hide channels twitch wide though, just from your recommendations.
It really needs to be a feature so I can effectively block the female "meta" streamers I'm really not interested in viewing despite twitch force feeding them as "recommended for you"

Unimaginable why this hasn't been a thing from the very start. I don't want to see thots in my recommended streams.

8 years and this is still not being implemented? c'mon twitch. i'd like to block people that are just not related to the category at all.

+1 Twitch is lacking user support to stop seeing hateful and bigoted content. I recently was forwarded to a racist stream through the raid feature while I was sleeping and woke up to some disturbing content. Until Twitch adds this feature I am done with this site.

Bump.
I cannot believe this keeps needing to be said at this point.

Blocking is an impossible mission.
I should be able to block any specific channel, category, tag, with a few clicks.
Most are insanely complicated to do, and require reporting(?) a channel, going through a report form(?) and only then is a "block" button shown.
Tags, meanwhile, are simply not possible to block.
Also there should be an option to automatically hide all channels whose stream title, or channel name, or channel bio, contains certain words. As of now it's just not possible.
Also: if a channel is playing, and I click on report and then click on block (because as of now there is NO option to just block), then Twitch takes me back to the homepage of the website (good), but keeps the channel visible in a miniplayer (not good!).
Blocked channels will still show on homepage as the large featured recommendations. In short: give users actual control over what the #### the see (get it? You didn't see foul language there).

It seems a glaring oversight that streamers can ban you, delete your follow, & block you from being able to follow again. But we can’t block streamers who are vitriolic to the community.
Then again, it also makes a certain amount of sense, bc most of the worst offenders are partner’d streams, & why would Twitch let you block channels that are willfully toxic when those channels are making so much money for the company? (Yes, I’m talking specifically about a certain someBODY.)

Seems bizarre that I cannot block entire catergories or tags.

PLEASE let us block individual streamers from the general searches. This request was made in 2015. What sort of worklist is this? I'm commenting in 2023.

Allow us to ignore entire CATEGORIES, like hot tub streams. **** is already all over the Internet. Open Twitch.*** if you want the raunchy stuff.
I am subscribed to multiple streamers using money from my own pocket. If this isn't resolved, I will have to cancel all of my subscriptions.

Why can't we block streams we do not want to see? I don't care for bikini streamers, let them do their thing. But I do not want to see the streams? it's just gross.

Hey All,
somehow there is missing a key feature on Twitch, which is blocking Streamer/Streams.
I just can speak for myself, but I would highly appreciate this function to block and prevent myself from seeing partially naked woman on twitch.
