Allow an option to block streamers channels
So they don't show up when you are looking under games for streams to watch.
It would be great if you ignored a user, their channel didn't show up when you were looking for streams to watch

8 years and this is still not being implemented? c'mon twitch. i'd like to block people that are just not related to the category at all.

+1 Twitch is lacking user support to stop seeing hateful and bigoted content. I recently was forwarded to a racist stream through the raid feature while I was sleeping and woke up to some disturbing content. Until Twitch adds this feature I am done with this site.

Bump.
I cannot believe this keeps needing to be said at this point.

Blocking is an impossible mission.
I should be able to block any specific channel, category, tag, with a few clicks.
Most are insanely complicated to do, and require reporting(?) a channel, going through a report form(?) and only then is a "block" button shown.
Tags, meanwhile, are simply not possible to block.
Also there should be an option to automatically hide all channels whose stream title, or channel name, or channel bio, contains certain words. As of now it's just not possible.
Also: if a channel is playing, and I click on report and then click on block (because as of now there is NO option to just block), then Twitch takes me back to the homepage of the website (good), but keeps the channel visible in a miniplayer (not good!).
Blocked channels will still show on homepage as the large featured recommendations. In short: give users actual control over what the #### the see (get it? You didn't see foul language there).

It seems a glaring oversight that streamers can ban you, delete your follow, & block you from being able to follow again. But we can’t block streamers who are vitriolic to the community.
Then again, it also makes a certain amount of sense, bc most of the worst offenders are partner’d streams, & why would Twitch let you block channels that are willfully toxic when those channels are making so much money for the company? (Yes, I’m talking specifically about a certain someBODY.)

Seems bizarre that I cannot block entire catergories or tags.

Yes! Why is Amouranth ALWAYS in the suggestion box 24/7? Believe or not... not here for soft ****. Want her gone.

PLEASE let us block individual streamers from the general searches. This request was made in 2015. What sort of worklist is this? I'm commenting in 2023.

Allow us to ignore entire CATEGORIES, like hot tub streams. **** is already all over the Internet. Open Twitch.*** if you want the raunchy stuff.
I am subscribed to multiple streamers using money from my own pocket. If this isn't resolved, I will have to cancel all of my subscriptions.

Why can't we block streams we do not want to see? I don't care for bikini streamers, let them do their thing. But I do not want to see the streams? it's just gross.

Hey All,
somehow there is missing a key feature on Twitch, which is blocking Streamer/Streams.
I just can speak for myself, but I would highly appreciate this function to block and prevent myself from seeing partially naked woman on twitch.

Have an accessible check box next to the "Report Streamer" button that will at least stop it from appearing in the Recommended Channels list.

If I block a streamer for inappropriate content I intend for it to stay that way. I do not want the blocked streamer recommended as an alternative if the streamer I choose to watch is offline. I do not want the blocked streamer to be recommended to me ANYWHERE on the website.

I have nothing to add, the other comments have likely already stated what I want to say.

There needs to be an easier way to block a user and/or streamer. I've tried multiple times to block certain streamer(s) content from showing up on the browse page on Twitch. The only way I found to be able to block a streamer's content is to go to their page and report the content and then finally a block option comes up. But even this doesn't work because I have now done this 3 times on the same account and it still shows up. There is just some content I am not comfortable seeing on Twitch and I wish there was a one-stop button to block a user and then I never have to see their content and page show up when trying to browse other streamers.

How is this still not a thing? I should just be able to *mouse over* -> *hide streamer*.
Edit: Shoutout to thx1377. I used your tip to remove amouranth from my recommended. It sucks, but I'll have to do that every time I log in and see a "hot tub", "ASMR", "This is actually sexual content but Twitch allows it for some reason" streamer pop on my recommended. I stopped using twitch for a couple of years because of this, but I want to support my favorite streamers, so I guess I have to deal.
thx1377: "Settings -> Security and Privacy -> Privacy section and click the "Show Blocked Users" link."
