I used to manage something like this via the mobile app. It was possible to not recommend a channel from recommendations in the app. The channel would then be removed from desktop recommendations.

I uninstalled the app to save space on my phone so not sure if it still works.

This didn't hide channels twitch wide though, just from your recommendations.

It really needs to be a feature so I can effectively block the female "meta" streamers I'm really not interested in viewing despite twitch force feeding them as "recommended for you"

We apply IP bans in Chat based on users' Moderation actions in certain cases. We don't currently plan to publicize the logic we use because we think it would make it easier for bad actors to bypass the restriction.

Implement IRC kick command.... problem solved. SIMPLE!

    1) No IP ban required. (IP banning hurts innocents & the bad ppl just spoof or proxy, pointless)

    2) Zero impact on system load... Casters/Mods can simply !kick and then !ban suspect accounts/bots and rekick when/if they ever rejoin your chat.

The process could even be scripted by the channels own bot to auto kick offending/unwanted accounts who persistently make rejoin attempts.

    3) No torrents flooding twitch support. (As the caster/mods are in control and working with usernames not IP addresses only the intended parties will be dealt with. No innocents affected - errors and ommision accepted.

Hi, I know that this is a very late response, but we’re hoping to find time to address this issue later this year. There are a few steps we’ll have to take to solve this problem in a way that will work for all streamers, but we understand the severity of the issue.

I second this... twitch needed the IRC kick command years ago, why was it never implemented?

Was curious about a dormant viewer named faegwent - suspected he was scamming loyalty points. Your post confirms my suspicion they are up to no good, thanks for posting. Alerting my friends network to blanket ban the account from their channels.
