We apply IP bans in Chat based on users' Moderation actions in certain cases. We don't currently plan to publicize the logic we use because we think it would make it easier for bad actors to bypass the restriction.

It seems a glaring oversight that streamers can ban you, delete your follow, & block you from being able to follow again. But we can’t block streamers who are vitriolic to the community.
Then again, it also makes a certain amount of sense, bc most of the worst offenders are partner’d streams, & why would Twitch let you block channels that are willfully toxic when those channels are making so much money for the company? (Yes, I’m talking specifically about a certain someBODY.)

I like this idea, but I can understand why this isn't a good idea. Someone that is blind, or partially blind, could have trouble seeing the lettering on the dark screen, and would need the contrast of lettering on the white background, in order to make out the words.
Perhaps, when you sign up for the platform, after you pick your username, the next thing you pick is "would you like to be in light mode or dark mode (can be changed later in Settings)"? And they leave in that mode across every page you access, be it a Twitch stream or the main page.
Because, frankly, going from seeing a twitch stream that's in dark mode... to being on the main page, and having the bright-white background searing my corneas... is a little painful. And the fact that Twitch hasn't gotten that much figured out is a rather glaring oversight.

I don't know why the app is so storage hungry, but the easiest way I've found to keep it from eating up too much space on my mobile device is to make sure it's not left running at all times. While it's running, it's constantly collecting data from the servers, and those little packets of information will sit in your storage, and they add up.
When you're not watching a stream, make sure your app is completely closed out, and not left running in the background. If you're on iOS, it's as simple as swiping up when you get to the "open apps" screen on your phone. I'm not sure how to do it on Android, but Google probably has the answer for that. However, on Android, it's also a good idea to occasionally clear your cache every once in a while, to prevent device slow-down from a lot of this stuff bogging down your system.
There's steps on how to do that on Google, as well, depending on what your device is.

Bro... Ban evasion is ban evasion. IDFC if you want to sit there and dance around to find excuses for someone’s behaviour. If you were told “we don’t want you here”, then please find yourself on the other side of the nearest exit. And stay there. Also, you trying to blame “mental illness” on someone being a trolly buttwipe is really not doing you any favours, as you’re arguing “they didn’t mean to shoot 300 kids, they were just having a bad mental health day”, and jogging right past the part where you are literally turning people with mental health complications into the villains in your story just so you can score points on the internet... It’s also gross, and you should probably rethink your stance on “crazy people can’t help themselves if they act crazy”.
