Make the partner program more accessible to folks with disabilities. Those of us with chronic pain or other disabilities!
Those of us with chronic pain or other disabilities are not always able to keep a schedule that is consistent enough to apply for the org we program. The current requirements are built on able-bodies standards. There should be a way to include disabled folks who can’t stream on a set schedule and may need to take breaks from streaming, but stream consistently when they can and have good viewership and engagement when they do.

As another disabled streamer, with LITERALLY NO SOURCE OF INCOME outside of government welfare, and with streaming being a HUGE PASSION for me, I don't even know that I could make Affiliate - even though that would be my dream. To have a wall in the wall, one that practically targets disabled streamers, is devastating.

Honestly, as a profoundly disabled creator, I disagree with the partner program being set to an able-bodied standard; it's set to an egregious standard that demands streamers to treat their channel like a full-time job and is a risky bet at best for anyone trying to make the jump from affiliate to partner. Most people are never gonna make it to partner regardless of whether their physical or psychiatric capacity is impaired by disability.
Realistically, there should be in-between tiers that gradually encourage channel growth and provide resources for creators to nuture their communities. I know that if I had a closer milestone than partner that I'd personally feel more secure in experimenting with analytics to find what works for me physically and what works for my community.

Please understand I enter into this topic in hopes of coming to an understanding, while also looking to maybe find some starting ground to a foundation to build upon.
I personally think jumping from a starting content creator, to a twitch partner would be a bit much. As that would bypass a lot of steps put forth to help people grow a community, be it through streaming alone, raiding, hosting, viewer interaction content (games, stories, drawings etc) Social networking being a huge part of the growth of a channel and community.
I can see how this has the potential to harm more than be helpful. As the channels Identity / support system has never been fully establish.
If I may, if this was to be implemented, so that we may speculate a few scenarios. If anyone can see other points that fits as I likely have missed. Please expand upon.
Now I ask the commenters, and please again understand I am looking be but an aide in moving ideas forward.
If this was something that was to be implemented. What disabilities would qualify? All without question? This is the one that it would be hard to truly filter those looking with ill intent from those looking to truly benefit some help.
To those that have commented already, what kind of things have you tried before, besides the going live announcement from your channel?
Social Media like Facebook, Twitter Tik Tok etc.
Have you tried to use them all together? Sometimes one wont work without the other or will crash because of this one line....Have you interacted with other channels? Get to know others that are a part of one another community.
I have made some really awesome friends and connections by surfing though other peoples channels. And just interacting with the host, and their chat.
I do play games on my channel, so I can only imagine a channel with out. However, that is awesome regardless!!! I bring this up for this reason.
Viewer Interaction/Games depending on which is preferred. To which like with art based streams, maybe have a randomizing wheel to which can have different themes and another part that has settings. Just as a few ideas for chat integrations if you haven't tried before.

Agreed. I am a disabled art streamer and can stream from 20min-3hours depending on my pain levels and have no way of judging this beforehand. A streaming career as a homebound disabled individual is a perfect dream, a touch of help from the Twitch community to understand schedule variability would be wonderful.
