As I can see my comment will not be a popular one. However there has to be views from as many sides as we can get into a discussion to have a reliable outcome that everyone can benefit and grow because of.

That said, first of. I do not stand for using that word in a derogatory manner at any person in any manner.

With that said, I also come from an older generation where expressions such as that existed as that. An expression, no meaning behind it. Like saying Gosh Darnnit, Holy Cow... etc.

Words are just that words, until they are given power. Either by those speaking or those listening.

Honestly I just think there are better ways to go to try and bring change to something.

With that said, that is my opinion and thoughts. To which I would like to add,

Why not just add a feature to every persons account. To where the user can set up a personal banned words list, which will perform the actions where they go whilst on the platform.

Granted this could still trigger a flag after so many notifications that would require physical interaction with to remove from the board.

    Twitch responded

Hi, thanks for flagging this and sharing your suggestion.

We share and understand your concerns about how the intentional, repeated misuse of tags can undermine the purpose of the tags product itself.  Tags are an important discoverability feature for communities, and a powerful way for all Creators—but especially those that are underrepresented—to express their personal identity and creative vision for their content.

We also do not feel Twitch should be the judge of Creators’ personal or creative identity, so we typically only enforce against the misuse of tags when it is associated with other behavior that violates our Community Guidelines such as hateful conduct or harassment.

That said, as the VTuber community’s experience demonstrates, there are limitations to this approach and we are actively investigating additional steps we can take to protect and improve the integrity of the tags feature at scale, without infringing on good faith Creators’ personal choice…

I would think that an option is already in place that after so many reports of a certain nature, things would be looked into?

Why not just expand upon that, to which fail safes could be put in place or attempted to.

Put an option under the report a streamer, giving the ability to mark what the report is about. Set a default threshold for # of reports. containing the same topic. This way reports can be separated for easier filing.

Upon the threshold being meet, or passed. The creators account is disabled, until a physical and electronic investigation takes place. 5 - 7 business days. This would afford all involved to bring what is needed/required to either move for or against this Initial Sentence against the Creator.

Of course depending on the decision actions can be chosen to proceed forward.

I will personally admit, that the abuse for things of this manner have never really been something that I pay attention to , as I generally never pay attention to the tags (started ps4) Yeah I can understand maybe just bringing it to the creators attention they have mis-tagged something. A lot of the time, it was just that a mis-tag.

Get a think tank of creators of the same community to sit down and come up with various ways as to correct and/or rectify damages should any incur.

With punishment becoming more intense with every repeat?
Or sit down with the creator until an agreed upon plan is done.

However, I regardless of which way this goes....

And another thought... IP bans not a thing anymore?

That honestly would be a good idea. There could be an integration to choose between a set amount or a percentage be set aside for a mod/s as chosen by the content creator.

However, I can see some things that would have to be addressed. Like would the mod have to share the finacial contact info in order to be qualified, or would this be something that could be made into a sub account/folder for the streamers channel to be reviewed where at that time they present the required/ asked for info like a creator entering the Affiliate or Partner program.

Just a thought to expand upon the idea should it ever become a thing.

This is just an idea I am going to throw into the mix, as I honestly and will upfront say I am not going through all the comments on this one, as what I had was mainly the same takeaway.

What are you going to do to help us small creators?

At one time, ever large creator was a small creator. What happened to change that. Many factors. Content, Interaction with the Viewers. Word of Mouth, and Social Networking.

As someone whom comes from the older generations, this was a common place more so done in a face to face interaction.

You all have to remember, a stream can be likened to a Store. (Yes I know however let me give the example.)

As a new store, it will be rough for the first little bit, though it is possible through outside forces can either aid or hinder this process.

Advertising, and Neighborhood Building are excellent ways to get started. Make announcements on Facebook, Twitter, etc.

Interact with other streamers that provide similar content, raid or host their channels, where most streamers will remember others doing this and do the same for them. This helps bridge connections in those communities, while also growing the entirety as a whole.

Consumer interaction -- When I say this, ask yourself. How well can I sell myself? If I had to get the next person to walk near me to buy me, as if my life really depended on it, would I be able to do it?

For example, I have a mama bear mentality when a viewer, or shopper enters my store(channel) .

I will say hello, letting them know I am here. While also letting them know if they have any questions please ask.

Keeping an eye should I be able to help, while also keeping mind with the shop and others that are around.

Be it the draw of viewer interactive streams, or a just talking back and forth. There are many ways to engage and draw the consumer back time and again.

Now to what I had meant to say from the start. All of you "smaller streamers" bah all content creators.

Create a community find other creators whom share the same games, projects, (similar content that as yours) maybe a vs the other person, Streamer & Chat vs Streamer 2 & Chat....

Idk just some thoughts, in addition to some experiences from my life as a waiter, cook, delivery driver, salesman, bomb maker, coal tester, liquid lab worker, Train Transport, Gas station manager/worker, Accountant. *Yes a lot, small area in addition gotta go Red Mage in the game of life and learn all ya can before we are unable.

While that is what is needed to take place in order to stream from the other account. There are times from my Ps4 days that after disconnecting one account, and trying to relink the other it would fail. Granted this has been a little over 1 year now since I last streamed from a console.

However as there is an option to link other accounts to a Twitch account, why not intergrade an option that asks which platform you are streaming from. Then at this point the studio will give the person the ability to add other profiles from the system/console *giving the option like WoW so to speak with character selection screen& with that platform, grouping them as a "team" so to speak. To which each account that run from the same platform, would be grouped together. Granting streaming privilege's to nearby friendly mobs.

To expand upon further. Why not a player that is able to pick from Spotify for example with the only music being able to play from being NCS playlists.

With an option for paid subscription from the channel of the community (the channel and the community they are a part of can contribute towards, adding another channel interaction between creator and viewers, while also making sure to involve the artists as they can set a price, or goal to be achieved resulting in that channels approval of use of said artists library. Be it a set amount of time, or a reoccurring deal. {Time frame and pricing etc to be worked out by those parties involved, however can be mediated should the need arise. ) obtaining the rights to add other artists to the player.

This was just a thought I had as I was building a Minecraft Server to stream from and came across a player that grabs from a few sites, to which a playlist can be made. Opting for a few of the NCS : Greatest of (said year) playlists currently to keep the ability to have not only audio with VODS, but a channel over all.

Please understand I enter into this topic in hopes of coming to an understanding, while also looking to maybe find some starting ground to a foundation to build upon.

I personally think jumping from a starting content creator, to a twitch partner would be a bit much. As that would bypass a lot of steps put forth to help people grow a community, be it through streaming alone, raiding, hosting, viewer interaction content (games, stories, drawings etc) Social networking being a huge part of the growth of a channel and community.

I can see how this has the potential to harm more than be helpful. As the channels Identity / support system has never been fully establish.

If I may, if this was to be implemented, so that we may speculate a few scenarios. If anyone can see other points that fits as I likely have missed. Please expand upon.

Now I ask the commenters, and please again understand I am looking be but an aide in moving ideas forward.

If this was something that was to be implemented. What disabilities would qualify? All without question? This is the one that it would be hard to truly filter those looking with ill intent from those looking to truly benefit some help.

To those that have commented already, what kind of things have you tried before, besides the going live announcement from your channel?

Social Media like Facebook, Twitter Tik Tok etc.
Have you tried to use them all together? Sometimes one wont work without the other or will crash because of this one line....

Have you interacted with other channels? Get to know others that are a part of one another community.

I have made some really awesome friends and connections by surfing though other peoples channels. And just interacting with the host, and their chat.

I do play games on my channel, so I can only imagine a channel with out. However, that is awesome regardless!!! I bring this up for this reason.

Viewer Interaction/Games depending on which is preferred. To which like with art based streams, maybe have a randomizing wheel to which can have different themes and another part that has settings. Just as a few ideas for chat integrations if you haven't tried before.
