2. New accounts not able to join stream if less than a week old

   Basically it prevents harassment from new accounts.

   If the account is less than X amount of days old they cannot view the chat. Or the stream or anything.

   That would help so much.

4. chat history bugged

   I am a moderator of a channel and for months I have not been able to check the chat history. I have tried with several browsers, but my colleagues don’t have this issue

5. Create a "3 Strikes, You're Out" Permanent Ban System for All Twitch Users

   The premise is simple: If someone is getting banned on the Twitch platform 5, 6, even 7 times within the span of 1 year for violating the Twitch Terms of Service, regardless of their partner or non-partner status, that user is a liability to the safety and integrity of the Twitch platform, brand, and image.

   Under a new "3 strikes, you're out" permanent ban system, all users, regardless of partner or non-partner status, are equally given up to three (3) account bans within a span of three (3) years, at which time that user will receive a permanent ban from the Twitch platform for violating the Twitch Terms of Service. This will be applied equally and equitably to all users on the platform, creator and non-creator, and regardless of partner or non-partner status to incentivize all users to follow the Twitch Terms of Service at all times.

   Ban counts may be removed from a user's account after the length of time has exceeded the time length mentioned in the policy, successfully appealed as determined by Twitch and the user, or if determined to be a ban made in error.

   This policy does not circumvent more serious ban reasons that require immediate and permanent removal of a user from the platform as determined by Twitch and their Terms of Service.

   It is imperative that Twitch properly showcase that Terms of Service and actions thereof are applied equally and equitably to all users of the platform and that Twitch prides itself on maintaining and protecting its image, brand, platform, and users.

6. Dissappeared tool for moderation

   I had this issue for a while, in mod view you have next to stream title that "pen" moderation tool, which allows you to change titles and game category for the streamer, but once it just dissappeared for me and i do not have it there anymore. Does anyone have any idea why that happened, is it only a bug or doest it have to do with some twitch specific settings?

7. Intermittent bug in Batch Reporting Tool

   For about a week now, I have been unable to use the Batch Reporting Tool. When I drop the menu to select a reason for a report, no text appears in any of the options; they are just a series of narrow, featureless horizontal bars.

   I have reproduced this in both old and new Mod View in both Firefox and Chrome under Linux. Colleagues have also reproduced it in Chrome, Firefox and Edge under Windows 10. One colleague found the tool still worked for them under Edge on Windows 10.

8. enforcement of community guidelines

   i wish that "user" in Twitch Community Guideline includes broadcasters [including Twitch Ambassadors], moderators and their "communities", and that contracts signed to abide Twitch Community Guidelines are legal binding.

   a victim who is outnumbered by pre-credible bullies is a victim whether those bullies believe otherwise or not.

   how is Twitch a safe platform for everyone, when a victim turns to people in positions to help for help and those people laugh them off out of hand?

   why are you so focused on protecting a broadcaster, their moderators and their "communities" from a viewer and not focused on protecting a viewer [particularly a mistakenly accused viewer] from broadcasters, moderators and their "communities"?

   credibility should not be pre-dispensed based on someone's mistaken self-image, "Well, I'M not a bully, and i'm just like them behave the same as them so they're not bullies!" nor based on who's outnumbered.

   for instance, @skinnedteen likely told @MoeWanders a story about me, last night; there is no truth in this story, though pre-dispensed credibility in favour of @skinnedteen inspires people to believe that her story about me is true.

   @aicute, also, and her moderator extraordinaire bullied me, conveniently deleted and left out all evidence of their bullying of me when they told a story about me to @Littlesiha .

   people Banning me and Pre-Banning me because of a story told to them or because they refuse to realise that THEY're the villain(s) and i am not, and the story growing and more people Banning and Pre-Banning me as it spreads, is Coordinated Harassment.

   ... and i am only guessing as to why @MoeWanders Banned me from @TeawithMandy 's yesterday and why @Littlesiha Banned me because NO ONE WILL COMMUNICATE WITH ME [because (despite my Right to know what i'm accused of, my Right to confront my accusor(s), and my Right to defend myself against accusation) they're convinced that they need no more reason to Ban me than they need to Block me, so they don't have to tell me why] and Twitch Support will not provide mediation services.

   when, objectively, it is everyone else who's the problem, who can someone like me turn to for help?

   when, objectively, Twitch Support won't do a damned thing to broadcasters, moderators and "communities" who bully, how is Twitch a safe space?

   this list [ https://gooseandclover.blogspot.com/2022/12/gooseandclover-currently-banned-from.html ] is growing because people have a mistaken perception about me [because they have a mistaken perception about themselves and others] and a story is spread about me that i cannot fight and that spreads not because i've actually done anything wrong but because of pre-dispensed credibility.

   these bullies have established themselves to gullible people as "friends" who should be admired and whose malicious behaviour emulated because it "it's not bullying, just good fun. Lighten up!" or because, "you deserve all the bullying that we can commit and incite against you, and Twitch isn't gonna do anything about it because they obviously agree with us," and i apparently deserve it just because i'm genuinely different and/or because of a story that they've told themselves about me which is a story told about me and not any truth.

   because these people have been thought of as being good people before anyone knows i exist, i get to be bullied and they get benefit of doubt that they're bullying me.

   how is Twitch a safe space, when the vast majority of the bullies are broadcasters like in this list, and their moderators and "communities"? and when will Twitch Support enforce Affiliate, Partner, Ambassador contracts to abide Twitch Community Guidelines?

   @ayytrae might not like that i call adult-aged children adult-aged children, but who's gonna prove me wrong that they're adult-aged children? they, themselves, respond to it in such a way that [objectively] proves me right, and they're dillusional in believing that that proves me wrong.

   "Well, YOU're behaving like a child! Throwing a tantrum because you don't get your way!" is a mistaken perception about me, which is gleened by being incapable of listening.

   if they want to not be bullied, then standing up and speaking out against bullying is not throwing a tantrum because i don't get my way. it's exercising assertiveness because no one who wants to not want to be bullied doesn't get their way.

   why shouldn't they practice what they preach? look insided themselves, rule themselves out, before blaming me for their choice to bully me?

10. control editor permissions

    i really hate that i have to make mods EDITORS to be able to change my stream title and update my schedule because i dont want ANYONE having the ability to delete my clips, vods and highlights except me and unfortunately editors can do that. Please can we get the ability to choose what permissions editors/mods have the ability to do?

    SUGGESTION: Maybe we get rid of the editors role and then have a page where we can choose permissions for each mod/user.

11. Prevent reporting blocks for moderators

    As a chat moderator today which unfortunately fell victim to a several hundred user chat spam bot posting dodgy discords and highly offensive messages, I was able to ban them all with the shield mode tool which worked incredibly well.

    The problem is - using the batch reporting tool, after I went past the first 100 or so, it stopped allowing me to report any more accounts.

    I understand a cap to prevent spam reports, but SURELY, for moderators using the batch reporting tool, especially when spam bots are all over Twitch the way they are, the amount should be increased, now I won't be able to report users for the next few days meaning god knows how many people that shouldn't be on Twitch can't be reported.

12. introduce a general guideline for moderators

    Hello everyone,

    More than an idea, it is an awareness that I have developed over time thanks to experience.
    Very often those who begin to undertake the path of Moderation are driven by the desire to come into greater contact with their favorite streamer, with their idol, but the importance of this task is underestimated.

    Being a moderator means taking on the moral and practical responsibility for a person's work, their dreams, their goals, their efforts and their future.
    I consider these human aspects fundamental both on the internet and in life and as such every aspiring moderator should have a total vision of what he is about to start doing.

    The importance of this concept is also reflected in life, in our future and that of our future generations (I have a 6 year old daughter, it is a topic that is particularly close to my heart) and looking around I believe that the time to approach this virtual reality with more seriousness and awareness because it is now clear to everyone that the internet has a fundamental role in our lives and as such it should be considered as a reality to be protected in the best possible way.

    During my experience I wrote a guideline which currently contains 90 points of reflection (obviously must be compressed, it is mainly a draft) which give a fairly complete general vision of what an aspiring moderator will find themself facing and advice on how to deal with every situation, to grow both on a personal level and towards society, because that's what we're talking about!

    I'll share some points from the guide:

    3) Keep a positive tone:
    Always make sure your interactions with viewers are positive and respectful. Avoid aggressive responses and try to resolve problems calmly.

    7) Be impartial:
    Apply the rules impartially to all spectators. Don't make exceptions based on personal preferences or relationships.

    11) Keep up with updates:
    Stay informed about Twitch updates and new features or moderation tools that may be introduced.

    24) Track chat trends:
    Observe chat trends over time to better understand community dynamics. This can help you anticipate problematic situations and adjust moderation accordingly.

    29) Recognize and encourage positive behavior:
    Don't just focus on negative actions; Also recognize and encourage positive behavior in the chat. This can help to create a friendlier environment.

    50) Promote diversity and inclusion:
    Support a streaming environment that promotes diversity and inclusion. Take action against discriminatory behavior and work to create a welcoming space for all.

    58) Create a learning environment:
    Foster an environment where viewers can learn the rules and expectations of the channel. Answer questions and politely explain policies when necessary.

    65) Be thoughtful about your online presence:
    Remember that, as a moderator, your online presence may be observed. Maintain professional behavior outside of the channel and avoid personal conflicts that could affect your ability to moderate and the channels you moderate.

    75) Know the limits of your responsibilities:
    Understand the limits of your responsibilities as a moderator. If there are more complex or sensitive issues, involve the streamer or other appropriate resources.

    86) Be aware of local idioms and expressions:
    If the channel is frequented by an international community, be aware of cultural differences in idioms and expressions to avoid misunderstandings.

    I hope that these examples are enough to make people understand the importance and seriousness of the above because anyone can be a Mod, even the little ones, and I think it is ethically correct to give all a guideline with concrete advice and this does not exist yet. ( I have looked everywhere).

13. I was banned from chat while watching football game because I said Jalen has klown legs?

    I got banned for either saying " Jalen has klown legs" or Wooo, go raiders" a full minute after play? There was no explanation or warning, just banned? I dont think klown legs is racist or political?

14. Allow Option To See Blocked Users' Messages in Other Chats

    I think we should have the option to simply prevent certain users from whispering us; and not have their messages disappear in chats we do not mod for. As a mod, I would prefer to see what troublesome users are saying in other channels and then being able to warn those moderators. However, not being able to see blocked users in other channels makes this impossible.

15. История сообщений при запросе на разблокировку на канале

    Некоторые пользователи получают несколько банов на каналах и, при заполнении формы на разблокировку пишут текст, который невожможно пересмотреть в случае, если пользователю отказали в разблокировке, или же её утвердили. Было бы полезно для модераторов понимать историю данных запросов и тексты. Пример очень простой: запрос на разблокировку "Все все пидоры" - модератор отклоняет. Пользователь пишет письмо о том, что он попросил нормально, а злой модератор отклонил потому. что %выдуманнаяпричинаимя%. В данном случае возникает спорная ситуация, которую невозможно разрешить. Было бы очень хорошо, если бы данная история появилась. Спасибо.

18. Intergration of Gaming Clients to Crackdown on Stream Sniping.

    Idk if this is entirely the right category as it involves how the platform monitors traffic and stuff. It's not as if it's a "feature", versus a preventative measure to prohibit people from stream sniping.

    Work with the server management team(s) on the gaming company's end, along with people's ISP to monitor for, and ensure that people cannot fire up someone's stream and intentionally queue up with them, and there be a grey area as to whether or not they're "screen peaking" via the stream.

    Have it disconnect them if it senses they have stream open, and notify them through the game client as to why they were disconnected. Don't match them to begin with too, if the stream is already open.

    VPNs can't thwart all this, can it? Still able to monitor how/what they're accessing through the VPN if you can access their machine. If you're say, their ISP, combined with the ToS of the gaming client, shoe-in they (game companies) will allow streaming platforms to police / prevent + protect, their streamers from sniping.

    Seems like a lot of overhead securing multiple machines to keep VPN and your "real" ISP separate, like more than your "typical troll" is capable of maintaining, or interested in achieving.

    I see this (Griefers harassing streamers) happen ROUTINELY, in Starcraft:Broodwar, and Starcraft 2 streams
    I watch...

    The sniping along with other "ladder manipulation" tactics really "ruining" those games / their streamer's "gaming experience". NotLikeThis

19. "Reimagining Transparency: A Call for a Unified, Rule-Based Banning System in Twitch

    Recently, I found myself barred from a channel following a comment I made about a competing Streamer. Although my remark had a slightly negative tone, I promptly followed up with an apology.
    Despite this, the exact reason for my ban remains a mystery, leading me to believe that the process of banning may be more subjective than desired.
    Consequently, I am advocating for a more structured and transparent banning system. In the current scenario, the criteria for banning vary significantly from one Streamer to the next, causing confusion among viewers.
    What if we could introduce a table or matrix system, where each Streamer clearly defines the rules and related ban-able offenses? This way, when a viewer is banned, they are instantly provided with a CONCRETE reason. This proposal ensures not only a transparent system but also paves the way for more informed interactions between Streamers and their audience.

20. Only show mod icons when hovered over a message

    Currently, when you enable the "Show mod icons" in a chat where you have that permission, the icons for ban/timeout/delete message take up a lot of space in chat and it's quite easy to misclick an icon on a wrong message if chat is moving in a fast pace. For those reasons, I generally have this option disabled in chats that I moderate.

    I like the way how the "pin this message" and "reply to message" icons work, whereas they only show when you hover over a specific message in chat. Could we make all mod icons work like that so we just get a "toolbar" of mod icons once hovered over a message?

    I understand that some people might be used to/like it better the way it works now, so maybe make it an opt-in feature?
