Mod jobs As someone who mods for 16+ people on another platform and a few on a Twitch, I think Twitch should start hiring a few people to be a paid mod, and to set them aside from the streamers selected mods these paid ones should have a gold sword instead of the green one. Also everytime they enter a live even if it's one they've been to multiple times, it should show them the streamers requirements for chat so they can know what to always look for.

No words banned in the ban appeals? It seems that there are no banned words in the ban appeals so banned users are saying some very nasty things to streamers using the ban appeals to get around banned words in the chat. The streamer I mod for being a female is getting some really disgusting and disturbing things said to her in the ban appeals because of this.

Mods here are actually ******* mentally ******** Twitch staff (moderation side) are actual ******* retards (I can use this word if Asmongold & the president of USA can).
It's honestly so disgusting. Twitch actively ignoring people who just straight up right stolen vods while at the same time there is NO LEVEL of editing or anything I can do to make unique transformative content according to Twitch - despite the advice of a literal copyright attorney which I consulted.
This is just a DISGUSTINGLY bad platform.
What is my recommendation for Twitch to improve it's moderation?

Don’t Suspend Music Streams for Incidental Album Artwork As a paying Twitch subscriber, I am asking Twitch to distinguish intentional sexual content from the brief, incidental display of original album artwork during music-focused streams.
Many commercially released records, particularly older releases, contain nudity in their original cover art. When a streamer shows that artwork only to identify, discuss, or introduce the music—not to present sexual content—a severe account suspension is disproportionate.
Please consider context, intent, duration, and framing when enforcing the Adult Nudity policy.
For incidental album artwork, warnings, VOD removal, or an opportunity to blur or cover the image would be far more appropriate than immediate account-level…

Unfair or accidental unban requests Twitch should have a 3rd party accidebtal or unfair ban solution? I am stuck in this situation and I'm sure I'm not the only one. Should there not be a way for a small appeal to twitch just to get noticed by A larger creator or something similar. Reason for ban on channel I think users should see the reason for a channel ban, if there is one.
Today I joined a channel where I was previously banned (quite a while ago) for some absurd reason.
And I don't remember why I was banned...
I can't watch the broadcast; I see a ban notification in the chat, but I don't see my message about the ban...
I think this is an oversight; people should know the reason for the ban. Besides, a user can be banned after they've left the chat and might not even understand why they were banned.

false bans Streamer banned me for joking around in chat and laughing nothing serious really and being concerned for their health and the timing was just unlucky after they asked to not talk about the subject but I had just joined the stream after that and there was zero indication for that including their "chat rules" just saying "don't be a d***" when I wasn't even.

Honor Platform Bans There are way too many streamers on Twitch with an extensive ban history, and it shouldn't have to be suggested that ToS integrity be honored. 29 people attended TwitchCon San Diego 2025 with 5 or more bans on file, and a growing number of other users simply build up bans like trophies. Some even play with bans just to rack up their own bans, having 20 or more bans on file.
Bans should not just be a timeout, they need to live up to the term "ban"!
My suggestion is a "3 strikes then your out" model where bans ramp…

chat extensions extensions that allow custom chat messages for bots/users and allows the streamers,mods and users to gate this with permissions as well as to customize the chat it also would be cool to theme and/or intergrade this into mod view they would be like normal twitch extensions but can be both global(set by streamer) and local(set by user/mod)

Ad-break During raids to various channels as a mod, viewer, and chatter, a concern I have noticed is when the streamer is introducing themselves, an almost immediate ad-break occurs or too soon within their introductory period. The advertisements vary in length and number, which during this period, the incoming group of viewers may loose interest or patience to sit through as they are unable to acknowledge who the streamer is and community they are joining into and if it’s for them. Add language in TOS/Guidelines to restrict saying Subs/Bits funds will go to Charity This ticket can be under Charity, Legal and Moderation categories
There has been TOO many incidents where creators have said that funds from Sus and Bits will go to charity, their moderation teams, etc.
Twitch needs CLEAR guideline updates to discourage this behavior as its gray area scamming their communities in the fact that end users buy bits, or gift subs and Twitch takes a cut of those funds, and the charities the creators say they are supporting NEVER see those funds.

Disability factored into appeal requests? Has Twitch staff taken into consideration disability in users appeal reaquests? Ban people you agree with. It would be pretty cool if Twitch would stop having such an obvious bias against people the twitch staff don't like and doing nothing when the people who they do like blatantly break twitch TOS.
