How it works:
  • Choose a relevant category for your idea and check to see if any other users have already submitted this suggestion before creating your own
  • Be clear with your suggestion, provide examples and solutions to the problem you are posing. Suggestions without actionable feedback may be closed without comment
  • Upvote existing ideas, as opposed to creating multiple similar requests
  • Be sure to share your suggestion with others to gain more support!
  • Note: Suggestions are not guarantees that we will take action on an idea. We will try our best to communicate why an idea may not work, but may not always be able to share that information.
  • Titles that are unclear or unnecessarily vulgar may be reworded to better reflect the request for ease of discovery

If you need help:

  2. Hey everyone! I think it would be super helpful if we had a scrolling announcements banner, kind of like the ticker you see in sports games.

There have been plenty of times where I’ve needed to pin multiple messages or we’ve had several announcements going out during stream — but since you can only pin one at a time, you have to choose which one feels most important. A scrolling banner would fix that by letting multiple updates cycle through at once, so viewers and mods can easily stay informed without cluttering chat. It’d make everything feel more organized and…

  3. As a creator I’m curious does twitch have any plans to combat the serious issue of botting on the platform? Taking money from advertisers seems problematic with the rise of bots. The question is will advertisers eventually start to leave because of more common knowledge of artificial audiences?

If you guys solved that, I believe you wouldn’t have so many people going to multi streaming. that’s increasing because creators are starting to flee to other platforms since they don’t see any value in working ******* content when people can cheat their way to the top of categories and get seen…

  4. Implement a Mod Log for each individual moderator of a channel so you can see what actions that specific moderator has done in the channel. So lets say you do /user xyz and he/she is a mod in the channel, then there is a tab next to mod comments that would say something like "mod actions" and it shows all the things that mod has done in the channel, for example changing the title, banning / timeout x user etc etc. This would make it easy to see who is actually doing a lot of moderation work and who is…

  5. With the addition of the /shoutout capability added for mods, I think a really easy feature would be to add an icon, even a simple S in a square?... For those of the mods that like having mod icons on their chat, one could easily shoutout someone in chat without even typing it out. Taking it a step further, if you don't have mod icons on, you could click on their name and one of the options (along with view, gift a sub, etc) would be the option to shoutout the user. (this would be exceptionally helpful with those modding…

  6. I like the additions you guys have made towards the clips page. Where editors/mods can delete clips from video / edit the clips names and such and all that.
My request is, can you guys add a "Delete all clips from this User" ? I think this feature would help mass delete clips made by a certain user that was done with ill intent or such. I'm modding/editing for a streamer and iv seen clips that were made by one user with the purpose of sexualizing the streamer. Having that option would help take care of things outside of just…

  7. Allow moderators to set a character limit for the length of chat messages.
When many users send long messages, it is often difficult for the streamer to keep the thread. It would be necessary to be able to set a lower limit, per channel, with a chat command.
For example /lenght 100 to limit users to 100 characters per message, and /lenght off to disable the limit.

  8. As a user, I would like to request native support to Twitch for a quotes / memorable moments system that can record / recall text that is inputted by Creators/Moderators. 3rd Party APIs already do this to a degree, but once the API depreciates the functionality is lost.

These quotes should be able to be called from the chat window either randomly or by specific number. The quotes could also record automatically the time / date stamp of the creator, and the category / title that the creator had for that stream.

Quotes should have the flexibility to be managed…

  9. Be it down to incorrectly estimating time, stream hiccups, plan changes or various other reasons, it's not unusual to want to extend a prediction. Currently the only options are to delete and remake the prediction, which clears everyone's bets, or leave it and deny latecomers a chance to participate.

The option to extend the timer on a live prediction or reopen the submissions on a pending one would be a (hopefully straightforward) way of improving this.

  10. Snooze ads replenishment: The number of snooze ads is fixed at 3 per stream, this makes usage of snooze ads more difficult the longer the stream time runs. A better way would be to replenish one snooze ad every hour during the live stream to a maximum of 3.

  11. Sometimes multiple channels one moderates can be live at the same time or one simply may want to be extra aware of a first time chat.

If one were to opt into this feature they could hear a ding sound and take the appropiate action for the first time chatter.

  12. if twitch could not be the absolute biggest dumb **** loser ****** low class minority has to hire minority idiots or else the minorities will cry and join hands together to create an unfair ****** minority atmosphere, you might realize banning people who deserve it increases revenue e.g. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aKM7T-lDxd4

  13. Currently the ads on each channel participating in shared chat run separately unless it's done manually and all streamers involved click the manual "run ad" button the same second, without anyone having any lag on theirs. It would be very helpful to add an option for everyone in the shared chat to agree to having their ads to run together for the rest of stream when they enter shared chat.

  14. Hello fellow mods! I think it would be useful to be able to toggle, in stream settings, an option that hides deleted messages from the streamer's view.

It's not uncommon that streamers get distracted or still read deleted messages on accident due to chat velocity and being focused on streaming! So help them keep their focus and keep the deleted messages in the dungeons of Twitch Moderation!

  15. This UserVoice forum is quite...something. Just went through 20 pages of search results as well as pages for Moderation-specific feature requests, and it doesn't seem that the forthcoming Lead Moderator role is being attributed to any of the feature requests or other posts here, so thought I would post a separate feature request for this:

When you roll out the new Lead Moderator role (as early as today, it seems), please ensure that the Lead Moderator can manage not only mods (assign/revoke) but also VIPs (assign/revoke). This does not strike me as something that one would be appropriate to grant…

  16. Adding Twitch Moderators Club logo as channel badge option for Moderators. In the Twitch Moderators Club Discord, there's a special logo showing a Heart with a Sword and a sash that says "MOD" on it, it's labeled as "ModLove" in the Discord. I would like to ask that anyone who is in the Moderators Club and has their Twitch connected to that Discord, be able to select that ModLove logo as a channel badge on channels that they moderate for.

  17. As it stands, the dropdown for the Prediction submission time is pretty restrictive; there's an erroneous gap between the shorter 2 and 5 minute options, the longer 20 and 30 minute options, and of course the highest limit of 30 minutes in itself.

While the dropdown is simpler to use in brief, having a custom field provides more flexibility for predictions, like a window being open for 2:30, 3:00, 12 minutes, 40 minutes, or a complete hour of submission time. Some repeatable prediction opportunities can have very predictable (no pun intended) potential submission windows and pay out times.

    Here's a…

  18. I'll put it as simply as possible. We need to restrict the number of moderators on channels to three users, so that the majority can't appoint more than three mods, just like most streamers do.

  19. There have been cases of streamers banning users without any explanation, leaving the banned user feeling confused and frustrated. This lack of transparency can lead to a breakdown in trust between the streamer and their audience, and can also have a negative impact on the overall community.

Streamers should have to give a reason for a ban. And banned users should have the ability to appeal their ban to Twitch. This could be done through a system where the user can submit an appeal to Twitch, which can then review the ban and determine if it was justified. For instance,…

  20. Please add the option for pinned messages to stay around for longer.

Sometimes you just want the pinned message to be pinned for one day only.
The only way to do that currently is to set the duration as "until the stream ends" when the Broadcaster is offline and then requiring you to remember to unpin it again in a timely manner.
It would be really great to have more option for how long a message should be pinned for, ideally similar to the options you get for the duration of a timeout.
