How it works:
  • Choose a relevant category for your idea and check to see if any other users have already submitted this suggestion before creating your own
  • Be clear with your suggestion, provide examples and solutions to the problem you are posing. Suggestions without actionable feedback may be closed without comment
  • Upvote existing ideas, as opposed to creating multiple similar requests
  • Be sure to share your suggestion with others to gain more support!
  • Note: Suggestions are not guarantees that we will take action on an idea. We will try our best to communicate why an idea may not work, but may not always be able to share that information.
  • Titles that are unclear or unnecessarily vulgar may be reworded to better reflect the request for ease of discovery

  1. I think that streamers must make rules about what is and what isn’t allowed. This stems from a strange experience I had with a small streamer.

Before I start, let me just clarify that I am not asking for an unmute or anything. Basically I decided to watch a small streamer’s stream cause why not and then after a few minutes someone said something (I forgot what it was, but it was 100% relevant and nothing bad) and I said “I guess” and “no completions today tho”. A few minutes later I was suddenly muted. Since it was a small…

  2. Too often people use report brigading to issue false bans on undeserving victims. Do more to ensure that bans are justified before you push the button.

  3. As a streamer it would be really helpful to do some technical/test streams. The issue would be that we can now ruin someones Stream Streak, or mess up your own stats because you go live completely outside of your schedule and without promoting it.

The idea would be to have a option on the creator dashboard to activate a "Preview Mode"/"Test Mode". If you then go live you wouldn't go live for everyone but you could test overlays/events/alerts/features you made yourself. This would also not affect anyones stream streak or your own stats (since it's not a real stream)

    Maybe…

  4. As a Twitch user and streamer that is also a moderator for 15+ channels, I would love to have quick access from the main Twitch page or even the dropdown when I click on my icon in the top right corner, it directs me to a page that has the list of streamers that I mod for. Even something similar to the look of the Twitch Teams page where its a list of streamers, with the streamers that are live, at the top of the list.

  5. more privacy rules the ability too see guests no users viewing my stream and remove them for a more private community stream

i have an issue with being possibly being watched by an ex or someone who isnt acting as a user and they constantly watch my channel i cant see who it is or ban them or stop guests from viewing my stream , it would be cool for more rules if possible if guests lurk they get cut of after so many minutes maybe or even muted video so tempt the watch to become a user

    im not…

  6. So i get bullied/harrased while streaming, usernames are the main thing attacking me or friends with really messed up stuff. It is so bad that i have to stop my game and report them and block them.

My idea is, can we please have a feature that says you can only watch this streamer if you are a follower. Not the you can't type anything in the chat ****. Or even have it as a 30 seconds countdown that if the person doesnt follow your stream in that amount of time, they get black screened and a pop up that…

  7. Hey!

Editors should have some more functionality I think in line with some of the ideas that Twitch added over the years to make them further distinct from moderators and warrant actually placing someone as an editor only or moderator + editor.

    Some examples:

    • Removing VIP badges/moderators from channels or adding VIPs/moderators to channels.

    • Maybe a "role hierarchy" of Broadcaster -> Editor -> Moderator to make editor more distinct.
So for example, if a moderator pins a message, an editor can remove the pinned message, but can't remove it if the broadcaster pins a message in chat. Likewise, if a…

  8. I like the additions you guys have made towards the clips page. Where editors/mods can delete clips from video / edit the clips names and such and all that.
My request is, can you guys add a "Delete all clips from this User" ? I think this feature would help mass delete clips made by a certain user that was done with ill intent or such. I'm modding/editing for a streamer and iv seen clips that were made by one user with the purpose of sexualizing the streamer. Having that option would help take care of things outside of just…

  9. Can we get a category made specifically for things like twerking streams of we are allowing them?
Right now the art and just chatting streams are being flooded with mostly nude people or twerking videos that are flooding out other content.

  10. i really hate that i have to make mods EDITORS to be able to change my stream title and update my schedule because i dont want ANYONE having the ability to delete my clips, vods and highlights except me and unfortunately editors can do that. Please can we get the ability to choose what permissions editors/mods have the ability to do?

SUGGESTION: Maybe we get rid of the editors role and then have a page where we can choose permissions for each mod/user.
    thankyou! ^w^

  11. I think we should have the option to simply prevent certain users from whispering us; and not have their messages disappear in chats we do not mod for. As a mod, I would prefer to see what troublesome users are saying in other channels and then being able to warn those moderators. However, not being able to see blocked users in other channels makes this impossible.

  12. It would be useful to have the ability to use @mods to ping all the mods that are in the chat in the moment you write. That would be useful in two ways:
    1) chatters could send messages like "@mods I have a question: ..." or any other thing to tell / ask the mods. All mods would get a ping so that they definetly will recognise the message and can reply.
    2) Mods could send information to the other mods in chat. Yes it would be readable for the usual chatters as well but in some case that is…

  13. The Activity Feed already shows "Poll ended" as an item, but doesn't show the results of the poll. Is is possible to include the winning answer as part of that result? Would help in case the mods and streamer miss the conclusion of a poll and can reference it later

  14. Editors on a channel can edit title, tags and a few other things but can't turn on/off the branded content option, think that it would be nice to have that feature be available to Editors to help the streamer so they can focus on games or whatever they are doing and just have to tell a editor to turn it on/off.

  15. I'll put it as simply as possible. We need to restrict the number of moderators on channels to three users, so that the majority can't appoint more than three mods, just like most streamers do.

  16. Currently anonymous subs can be given to offensive account names and the streamer has no ability to report this. A gifter can continue to do this indefinitely. Streamers can only report the accounts that were gifted which does not solve the problem.

This leads to immediate and continuous abuse.

You removed Anonymous Bits for "Abuse" reasons despite them not carrying a name, image, or message. You left in Anonymous Gift subs even though they can be used like this. Give us an option to report these actions.

  17. Allow moderators to set a character limit for the length of chat messages.
When many users send long messages, it is often difficult for the streamer to keep the thread. It would be necessary to be able to set a lower limit, per channel, with a chat command.
For example /lenght 100 to limit users to 100 characters per message, and /lenght off to disable the limit.

  18. "I want to bring a requirement for an account to become a channel moderator.

    • Requirement: minimum account creation time, for example, for someone to be able to add someone as a moderator on your channel, the account must be at least 7 days old, or even, you must follow the channel for 7 days if you want to be one moderator of this channel.

Every day there are people (with the account created on the same day and using VPN for sure) convincing new streamers to be moderators of their channel, and thus manage to trick the streamer and ban…

  19. Just like the timeout/ban in profiles, add a new category called warnings. Warnings can be issued by /warn [user] [reason] or by clicking a chat / profile button and entering a reason. Not everyone wants to timeout a user / ban a user. It would also allow us moderators to keep moderation actions private and not use the Wisper system and allow us to keep track of warnings and who their issued by. The way this would work is the user, would receive a popup with the warning or can receive a message like the announcement command, or a pinned…

  20. Idk if this is entirely the right category as it involves how the platform monitors traffic and stuff. It's not as if it's a "feature", versus a preventative measure to prohibit people from stream sniping.

Work with the server management team(s) on the gaming company's end, along with people's ISP to monitor for, and ensure that people cannot fire up someone's stream and intentionally queue up with them, and there be a grey area as to whether or not they're "screen peaking" via the stream.

Have it disconnect them if it senses they have stream open, and notify them through…
