Add a Setting to Toggle Raid Participation On or Off Across All Platforms
I’d like to suggest a feature that builds upon the current raid countdown functionality, allowing viewers to toggle raid participation on or off entirely through their account settings.
While the existing countdown feature is helpful, there are situations where viewers may prefer to disable raids altogether. For example, some users might want to remain on the current stream until it fully ends, manually choose their next destination, or exit Twitch without interruptions.
Proposed solution:
- Add an account-wide toggle in the settings to enable or disable participation in raids.
- When turned off, the viewer would remain on the current channel’s offline page instead of being redirected.
Ensure this feature is available on all platforms where Twitch is supported, including PC, mobile apps, TV apps (e.g., Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV), and gaming consoles (e.g., PlayStation, Xbox).
If the toggle is set to "on," keep the existing countdown feature for those who still wish to participate but want a warning before being redirected.
This small adjustment would improve viewer autonomy and provide a more seamless experience for those who prefer to have greater control over their Twitch navigation, regardless of the device they are using.
