Use your reporting tools instead of asking users questions
I have been looping with Twitch support over and over and over again on this issue being shown ads on a channel I am subscribed to, and over and over twitch support is utterly failing to fix my problem.
One of the issues that repeatedly comes up with Twitch support is you don't use the tools in front of you to solve our problems.
I am absolutely sick and tired of being told "well, maybe the person you're talking about has it set to show ads to subscribers". Like, I know that's not true, but why is Twitch support even guessing? Why can't you guys look and see what a Twitch channel's settings are? You shouldn't have to guess and go "maybe they're showing ads? We dunno! (ticket closed)" you should be able to tell us one way or the other "THIS CHANNEL SHOWS TO ADS TO SUBSCRIBERS, we see that on our end" or not! DON'T GUESS! You have the tools!
Another example, I've been asked "oh, what timestamps did you see ads?" It's like, I have reported every ad I've seen using the "I've been shown this ad too many times" tool; surely that has my username attached to it for making the report, and it shows when I made the report, for what reason, and what channel I was watching. GO FIND YOUR OWN TIMESTAMPS! I HAVE ALREADY REPORTED THINGS!!!
It's just like Twitch Support keeps dumping the responsibility for the troubleshooting, the tracking, everything back in the user's lap and nothing gets fixed and the quality of support is awful.
USE YOUR TOOLS TO HELP US INSTEAD OF DUMPING EVERYTHING BACK ON US. LOOK AT YOUR REPORTS, LOOK AT WEBSITE SETTINGS; STOP "MAYBE-ING" SUPPORT TO DEATH!
The customer experience with Twitch support is disgustingly bad.
