How it works:
  • Choose a relevant category for your idea and check to see if any other users have already submitted this suggestion before creating your own
  • Be clear with your suggestion, provide examples and solutions to the problem you are posing. Suggestions without actionable feedback may be closed without comment
  • Upvote existing ideas, as opposed to creating multiple similar requests
  • Be sure to share your suggestion with others to gain more support!
  • Note: Suggestions are not guarantees that we will take action on an idea. We will try our best to communicate why an idea may not work, but may not always be able to share that information.

  1. To clarify, I mean when you the channel is offline and you navigate to open the chatroom, you get to see the offline screen of the streamer. There is a very obstructive panel that pops up on the right hand side and it only contains one previous VOD. If you click the X on it, instead of closing it, it makes it FULLSCREEN and you have to click it again to see someone's entire offline image.

I personally enjoy viewing the offline screen of a streamer's channel.
The side panel mentioned has been there for YEARS unchanged and I think…

  3. The new(?) animated profile pictures are very distracting when they autoplay in the left sidebar, and the only way to hide them is to use fullscreen or theater mode, which isn't always convenient. I just want an option to disable the autoplay, or maybe to only play the animation when you hover over it.

  4. The profile picture is redundant on the Chat/Live page - you have it to the left of the title and directly below in the About section. Allow a second profile image or an option to upload an image specifically for this section to avoid this redundancy.

  6. As a small content creator myself it pains me to see that a lot of our small streamers are being unrecognized because of the way twitch does not promote us. For example, I can live stream on TikTok in which I did and I have came to realize that it is so much easier to come across a streamer with little to none viewers by just scrolling on their live feed on TikTok and it is crazy how engaging it can feel when a new person comes into your stream and you have never met that individual before. It is…

  7. Stream Team pages (www.twitch.tv/team/{team name}) don't work when redirected to m.twitch.tv. It works when the browser is desktop mode so it's clearly m.twitch.tv.

  8. Please add the option to view several streams in a grid format and focus in and out on certain ones at times. Alot of times there is more then one thing I'd like to watch and when something fun is happening on one stream I dont wanna miss it. I want the option to add several streams to the window and watch at the same time.

  9. I wish there would be more room for dancers/singers/acting. It seems to not have an appropriate category on this platform. Please revisit the idea of adding more categories such as "dance"

  10. The new 'Twitch Alerts' system for sub alerts, follower alerts, raids... etc, is a very good tool. I was suprised at how well it functioned compared to other alert systems like StreamElements. But a few of us streamers have alerts that are 'rare' or 'unique' and having the option to add an RNG system for which alerts play would be very beneficial.

This could be a simple option along the lines of - "percentage chance to play this alert"

  11. I think it would be interesting to put a guest list between the title and the category, like for example:

    Title: playing with my friends
    Guest: @... , @...
    Category: Game

Because when you have a lot of guests you can't put them all in the title and it makes a big block of text

    Thanks for reading

  12. TL;DR: Put an indicator under the channel points menu that UNAMBIGUOUSLY indicates that you've extended your watch streak.

It can be a check mark. It can be words. It can both. Whatever. But it should say clearly that's you've extended your streak.

Currently, there is one clunky but reliable way to tell if you've extended your streak: You see "Watch Streak 30" under your streamer's name in the Followed list. You watch them until that text disappears. You might have to refresh the page to make sure it disappeared. Sometimes, rarely, it comes back. If you forget whether you were…

  13. At the top of chat, there's now a box that switches between "Gift a Subscription" and "Cheer your way to the top!".

I have two windows open (chat and creator dashboard) while streaming, and every time these change I think someone has sent a chat message. It's very distracting.

I think this either should not be there switching, or at the very least it shouldn't be there when I'm logged in to my own channel.

  14. The chat area covers up the video when the browser is at a lower width.

This only happens when Theater Mode is off; when theater mode is on the chat migrates under the video as intended. Otherwise, the video expands to fill the width of the browser, but chat remains to the right.

This is mostly inconvenient; for checking the follower bar (or other reason to exit theater mode), since the chat covers the Theater Mode button and requires the browser to be resized to access Theater Mode again.

  16. We need global moderators to go into both the I'm Only Sleeping and Just Chatting categories a few times a day to clean them up. The I'm Only Sleeping category, for example, seems to be people actually sleeping on stream, but the category is for a point and click adventure game by that name. People also sometimes sleep in Just Chatting. I've also seen people streaming copyrighted shows/movies in either category. I do my task as a viewer and report these, but it is a never-ending job doing so. Please have global moderators bonk all those channels with the temp…

  17. If you start a stream before midnight, it should total your average views in to either the starting day or the finish day. Not split it up. I noticed that when i went live around 11:50pm, and ended around 5:30am, it showed on my analytics that i had an average viewership of 3 on my starting day, and an average of 25 on the day I finished. That is ruining my average views, and I don't think it's fair.

  18. Adding a “posts” section will allow anyone, with or without an affiliate or partner status, to interact with their followers. This will be similar to YouTube’s post section. This will be beneficial for anyone who’s falling out of streaming due to jobs or life itself or they don’t have any other social media to post to. This may/or may not affect getting to an affiliate status based on how many people interact with any posts, if Twitch chooses to do so. If so, it could help many people get to affiliate.

  19. Downloading public Facebook Reels can be useful for offline viewing, but it is important to use trusted tools and respect the creator’s rights. An online Facebook Reel Downloader such as F2Down can help save supported public Reels as MP4 files without requiring an app or account. Avoid downloading private or restricted content, and never reuse someone else’s Reel for commercial purposes without permission. For safe use, keep downloaded videos for personal viewing and follow Facebook’s terms and applicable copyright laws.
