  1. For a limited time, within a select number of channels, we’re testing a different way to Cheer through direct purchase Cheering.
Direct purchase Cheering allows you to unlock a fun community benefit through monetary payment, rather than through Bits. This experiment is only available to select creators and you must be located in the U.S. to participate. If you have any further questions please refer to our help article (https://help.twitch.tv/s/article/cheering-experiment-2022?language=en_US)

  3. My idea to stop fraudulent bits and their impact on streamers is twofold: 1) Create a system or process that listens and supports streamers impacted by the complete removal of cheering for channels triggered by fraudulent bit donations. 2) Emphasize assessing security behind the bit donating process/software rather than punishing streamers who have received these bits from users taking advantage of this obviously weak security flaw.

Fraudulent bits are obviously a large problem for Twitch as a business; however, more importantly, these faux donations are a larger problem for streamers: the financial backbone and foundation of Twitch.

    Currently, Twitch has…

  4. I'd suggest a tool so mods could accept or deny a bit message.

It happens that your streamer wants to roleplay but the chat is doing metagaming, right? Well, I used to think that sub mode or emote mode could've solved it, but there is always that enlightned user who sends bits and messes it up.

This case is the softiest. You also have hateful donos or spam that banning is not enough because if text-to-speech is enabled, the streamer ends up knowing.

At first my idea was to put all bits messages in automod queue so mods read them,…

  5. To give the streamers more personalization, incorporating functionality to allow a streamer to add custom cheermotes in the same fashion they are able to for channel emotes and bit badges would be beneficial to the growth of a channel.

This would not be a change in the functionality of bit cheering, but rather a change in the cosmetics.

    Thank you for your consideration.

  7. An early request to NOT proceed with this new functionality for bits that convert them into Animated Emotes without being able to edit the amount.

While I think the idea is cute, it is a negative experience for anyone who likes to give anything other than 1-100-1000-10000-50000 bits.

When I give bits, I often click a Bits amount (normally 1) and then edit the number to be what I want it to be. ie. 25, 69, 123 etc... This test makes the experience much less fluid, requiring me to type out the amount each time. OR, if I accidentally type…

  8. change the bits to like tiktok type. each icon have their own bit price, not 10,100,100,5000
example a rose cost 10, a love cost 100 bit, no other bit option.
and while pressing will sent it right away like tiktok. not while pressing it shown at chat text. and while sending it give exp to level the badge for example a rose give 1 exp, love give 100 exp. and make 1 icon like for 100, after sending the 100 will get 100 exp, but! this is the only 1, 1 icon can give extra random 1 exp, 66 exp,…

  9. there could be a bit train so anyone can start it by doing a mathematical series of bit donations. for example: someone donates 1 bit, some other one donates 2, 3 etc. or someone donates 100, 200, 300... or even 3, 6, 9 or 5, 10, 15 etc.
doing a long combo unlock more bit emotes.
there could also be some high level unlocks for 100 or 1000 bit chains.

  10. First of all, I would like to state that I am only posting this here because I couldn't find any other media to convey my feedback to Twitch about the matter. This page looks more like an "ideas" page than a feedback page, but as there aren't any feedback media, I will write about it here. (The ticket page auto-directs users here when the option "feedback" is selected)

After the recent Twitch data leak, some users have noticed unusual bits activity in some small streamers' data in the Turkish community. After a short while, more data were discovered and a…

  14. With Subs, Subgifts and Donates it is possible to farm points on different platforms (Stream Elements, Streamlabs etc.). The only thing whats missing are the transfer of bits to points. ( example: some one cheers 1,000 bits and earn 1,000 points in the ANKH bot; currently you can farm points with subs and donates). The policies of twitch of 2018 denied this kind of use. Its time to end this and give us the points for bit cheers :)

  15. As a Twitch streamer, I believe these can be improved to make bits a more fun and rewarding options for viewers:

    1. Up to 5 Animated emotes as an option for bit emote rewards that streamers can put in any slot.
    2. Allow streamers to give their bot access to using bit emotes. Currently, partnered streamers can give permanent tier 3 subs to bots, but this doesn't give the bot access to bit emotes.
    3. Currently, bit badges go up to 5 million. It should go higher.
    4. Expand the current channel points system to include redemptions with bits

    I think these improvements would…

  16. I really like having the "single bit cheered" badge even though I've cheered more. But if I cheer and end up as one of the top three for the week, or gift a sub and end up in the top three, or just... of its own accord, it changes it away from the one bit badge. Your choices should be your default.

  17. I think that the bits of Twitch's own currency should remain and that the revenue should only be taken by Twitch, so that the streamers can keep the subscriptions as a source of income for themselves. Since taxes in Germany or England are very high, it is difficult to be able to get anything from them. At least for small streamers who have an affiliate but don't earn more than $ 1000 to say they live off it. The Twitch fixes on a source of income and says that Twitch gets and the rest of the little streamers. And that…

  18. Currently, cheermotes are available even for blocked users who unlocked the emote before they got blocked.

This, however, also allows for harrassment outside of the channel of the stream who blocked them. They can go to channels of streamers that the streamer is acquainted or friends with, and continue to harass simply by intentionally using their cheermotes.

I don't think this is something a streamer should have to deal with, and therefore I think that while a user is blocked by a streamer, they should also not be able to use the cheermotes, just like they're not able to subscribe…

  20. As a part of our efforts to continually improve our products and creators and viewers build communities together, we are testing several possible updates to the Cheering experience. As a part of this effort, we are testing one of three prototype Cheering updates to a small number of hand-selected channels in order to observe how communities respond and interact with the feature. These three updates are:

    • Cheer with Screenshot: viewers can add a creator-selected image to their Cheer to increase the expressiveness of their Cheer in chat.
    • Cheer Message Size: viewers can choose how large their Cheer message will appear…
