Content specific ads. Mature content on Twitch has become the hottest of topics as of late especially when it comes to ad space and advertisers in general.
My thought being why can't we have our cake and eat it too? Why isn't there a way to have an adult side of Twitch, Twitch After Dark or something, with ads that would target the specific audiences. Obviously not advocating for full on adult films on the site but a place for the more mature streamers/viewers who want to show content/take in such content.

Most annoying ads campaigns on the planet are on this website and you are not helping it. I wanted to be constructive about my hatred for ads on this site and come up with ideas but then I realized i didnt work for twitch and thats not my job.
It's 2024 and it's not possible that the best thing that your ad team has come up with is picture in picture ads not realizing that's terrible just as much as watching the ad entirely. Make ad-free a Prime Benefit again or keep ads relevant to Twitch It's a really simple implementation to the first part.
Put ad-free viewing back as a Prime benefit! Ever since the glut of advertisements started, I had subscribed to Amazon Prime to avoid them while still supporting my favorite streamers. I'd gladly watch ONE 20s preroll if it meant I didn't have to see a single one throughout that stream or elsewhere afterwards.
I'm not gonna add another $10 on top of my Prime subscription to get the outmoded and archaic Turbo.

Irritating ads Some of the ads I'm getting now are so unfathomably annoying that I will be taking measures to avoid them. How about twitch take note when someone never watch an add? Is that even possible. Cuz I watch the "normally annoying" ads, but there's three ads right now that I would tear my ears off rather than listen to them one more time.

Switch up the frequency of seeing the same ad I get the importance of ads for the website but seeing the same annoying and cringy ads over and over really do not make me want to keep watching on the site. The little ceasers ones specially for example are WAY OVERPLAYED and when I do get one of these I close the tab and go hang out on youtube now. Allow the content of streams to be watched Lately, Twitch has been "What channel do I want to be given ads for Simulator". It's impossible to switch streams without being bombarded. When attempting to watch one specific stream, good luck.

Fake engagement I have seen many unengaged creators using artificial mechanisms to earn money with ads. In addition to being an unfair way, this can cause problems for Twitch by taking money from ads without having the audience to do so. Today there are many mechanisms that appear to be authentic public but are not. With Moss.gg for example. Abolish Irremoveable Banner Ads - Stream Display Ads Recently, a new form of advertisement has appeared on all viewable streams. An irremovable banner centered at the bottom of streams ruins the individual viewing experience.
Please consider an option to exit the advertisement at a minimum. Complete abolishment of this type of ad is highly preferred. Thank you in advance for your consideration.

New Audio only adds are way too loud Much like with radio or spotify ads, the new audio only ads Ive experienced are much louder than the content I'm watching. It may technically be made to match the sound level of the content, but often these types of ads are compressed to seem much louder. Hopefully ads content is reviewed ahead of time before they are published and can catch this type of artificially boosted loudness. Ive not experienced the same problem with regular ads.

Skulls & Bones Ads Are EXCESSIVELY LOUD Watching a stream, which at a point it was very quiet, immediately a short "Skulls & Bones" ad plays & it was uncomfortably loud, I could hear it 2 rooms away. Ads love to have loud volume to catch the viewer's attention, but people who have sensitive hearing could get very anxious, or panicky. other ads are nowhere near as loud as skulls & bones. it was extremely obnoxious.

Mark channels that have pre-rolls disabled for those browsing channels in non-affiliate language Many people who browse don't want to enter a smaller channel because of the potential ad they have to see.
Streamers can disable this ad by running ads during stream, of course, but anyone browsing has no way to know that such channel does or does not have a pre-roll ad. Many theorize this makes it more difficult for small channels to get viewers.
I suggest that twitch mark channels that currently have pre-rolls disabled so that it encourages people to come to that channel. It could be with a symbol, a marker, or just the words (ads disabled upon…

Will not watch stream with bright white letterbox ad, way too bright on Critical Role I'll watch the ads at the beginning and the middle. I have for years. I understand the need for advertising. But letterboxing the stream inside an ad is ridiculous, especially one so bright it's going to give me a migraine. Until this is fixed I will only watch Critical Role on Youtube. Goodbye.
