Avoid dishonest countdown timers for ads
As of recent, when watching streams on twitch, I (as well as my friends) have noticed that, as ads come to an end (~10 seconds remaining), the countdown timer is removed/finished. This misinformation on ad runtime only serves to further the amount of advertisements twitch can push, while taking away from user experience. This deceit is not allowed under eu law, through the Unfair Commercial Practices Directive and the Digital Services Act, which ban misleading advertising and deceptive design.
Faking a countdown clock or misrepresenting how much longer an ad or interactive video requirement will last is a deceptive practice, by distorting the clear presentation of commercial time, and thus falls under the rules enforced by EU law.
For specifics, see Article 6(1), Article 6(1)(b) of the UCPD, Annex I of the UCPD, and article 25 Paragraph 1 of the Digital Services Act.
