Every ad break in front of my trans friends lately, almost without fail, includes at least one advert for Harry Potter - A franchise known to support an extremely transphobic author who is actively using her royalties and fame to sway court cases in my country and influence those in others to remove rights from said trans friends. I have yet to see the same adverts infront of any cis streamer I watch and I have turned off personalised ads on both Twitch and Amazon, even going so far as to request the deletion of my data. This means that these ads are not being selected based on my region or my own preferences but specifically on the gender or gender identity of the streamers I am watching. Seemingly in order to rile up an audience which is known to be upset by the franchise due to the bigotry it represents and perpetuates. Making it a form of targetted harassment against a minority group and their supporters.

This, despite said author's best efforts, is still legally a hate crime here in the UK. Please stop.
