Stop Punishing Viewers for Chatting
Twitch’s ad system has gotten out of control. Every time I interact with chat—especially when I ask an important question—I’m immediately hit with a wave of ads. It’s obvious Twitch is tracking chat activity to serve more ads because it knows I’m actually watching. That’s manipulative, greedy, and completely kills the experience for non-subscribed viewers.
You’re punishing engagement—the very thing that makes Twitch unique. Viewers shouldn’t have to choose between talking in chat and being forced to miss minutes of the stream. This kind of ad greed is driving people away and making it harder for streamers to grow their communities. If Twitch doesn’t chill out with these abusive ads, it’s going to ruin what made the platform special in the first place.
