bring back the ads for bits
with this feature, i usually get about 100 bits per day just for watching ads. i'd much rather spend the time watching ads than pay $1.40 for 100 bits

It was confirmed that ads for bits were removed, but this is how a low of my users were using bits in our extension. Multiplayer ads provide direct revenue to the broadcaster, but 0 chances of revenue to developers. Developers only have 1 source of revenue on Twitch, and that was just cut down. We cannot get ad revenue, nor sub revenue, and this will definitely hurt smaller developers that market to small streamers.
https://www.reddit.com/r/Twitch/comments/o7vtjs/did_twitch_remove_ads_for_bits/h31zzio?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3We need a way to offer bits to viewers inside extensions, either a new ad for bits program, or ad for extension "credits" that will do a revenue share with broadcasters.

Cancel the testing of "Multiplayer Ads" and bring back the ability to earn bits through ads. Your viewer base doesn't want this. It completely takes away individual user choice for people to earn bits through ads, to spend on whoever they want to support. Making people vote to earn bits takes away freedom of choice, and only gives bits to the selected individual streamer. It automatically spends your bits on that particular streamer, and you don't get a single one to spend on small and independent streamers. All of your earnings go right to that particular streamer. Sure, it is fun to vote on something you like, but taking away the ability for people to spend bits on whoever they want through select interactive ads based on what ads they like to see completely throws out the only thing that made ads on Twitch worth something. And the fact the bits come from Twitch, and NOT the individual viewers, outrages me. You're literally not giving anything to the viewers, and only to the streamer. You took away a feature we actually liked, and replaced it with something that is incomplete, and rewards only the streamer, and not the viewers who were ACTIVELY participating in the vote. Not to mention, most of the people who watch the stream can't even participate in these "multiplayer ads". This is a useless replacement for something that was actually useful and engaging on Twitch. Ads For Bits allowed us to spend bits on whoever we wanted, without paying for any pricey bundles of bits. "Multiplayer Ads" does not help anyone, but only forces people to buy bits instead of watching ads. And then what happens? Those people install AdBlock, and you lose money. No one wants this. Stop testing this useless feature and bring back "Ads For Bits".

So recently I saw a note from the Program Manager of Twitch, and I have one question for you. Who exactly is we've, because WE (aka the twitch community, the ones that keep your site alive) never agreed to any of this, so, WE unfortunately have decided to deny your REQUEST to remove ads for bits. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may bring you, but yeah, thanks, no thanks. By removing ads you essentially are hurting support of smaller streamers, which unless you're going for TOP 10 Worst Streaming Sites, I suggest you rethink your decision. Because, Twitch, I'm gonna be brutally honest. No one, that is of any significance to this platform would have suggested that removing ads for bits, would be a good idea. If you notice your replies , NO ONE LIKES THE REMOVAL OF IT. Is it to much to ask, to at the least have one of you people, show proof that. people don't want this. Because while yes 1 or 2% of twitch might think its unnecessary, what about the other 90+% of users? So please, rethink your decision.

Twitch clearly hates people who can't afford to buy bits since they got rid of this option and are clearly not going to bring it back since this is declined. So those of us who cannot afford them are also left out of things like hype train emote rewards - they should get rid of those too if they are getting rid of ads for bits.

Anytime i go to the bits pop up to watch ads for bits it doesn't show the "Watch Ads for bits" option. It's not grayed out or telling me there are not ads availble it is just simply not there. I don't know if it is gone completely or if it is just buuged and not showing up for me.

Nobody should be forced to watch a streamer regularly on a schedule in order to have the means to support them. Public opinion on this isn't going to change anytime soon.

As of a few days ago the "ads for bits" function was removed in favor of the creation of new ad formats like Multiplayer ads. The issue with this is that this takes away the entire point of donating bits, which is to personally and individually support a creator, regardless of how big a streamer they are. This new idea only really helps large streamers. The "ads for bits" function was the ideal way of allowing users to choose who to support while still generating revenue for twitch. Please bring this back (even if you move forward with Multiplayer ads)

Recently ads for bits were removed from twitch as there are multiplayer ads instead to replace these, I disagree with this feature for multiple reasons. The first is you can only vote and earn 5 bits for the streamer per multiplayer ad per person/vote which is rare to start with the problem to solve this would be to make multiplayer ads happen at every ad break! The second problem with this is us twitch users that would use ads for bits on a regular basis no longer can use them to get around 100 bits per day and can no longer support our favorite streamers with more than 5 bits, the only way to fix this is to bring back ads for bits or to try to fix this with the new multiplayer ads please fix this twitch I don't have a lot of money so donating 100 bits a day made my day to see that streamer get excited over 100 bits but now they don't really even notice the multiplayer ads.

No idea why this was removed just a few days ago. I really enjoy being able to support some of the streamers I watch for doing minimal work by watching ads for bits. This feature allows everyone to donate if they are willing to watch a couple ads as opposed to solely people who can afford them.
PLEASE bring this back.

Bring back "watch ads for bits" option.
A daily limit of ads is fine as long as the bits payout is randomized.
Do not cut off this feature for viewers. -

Why can't I watch ads for bits when it does not appear and just says Purchase bits and Watch ad is not there anymore?
