Exactly the same issue, I'm seriously considering not watching streams anymore over this incredibly annoying "feature" that has been added to the site. Ad-block paused, watching through Twitch TV, even turned off Better Twitch TV.

I cannot watch streams for more than a few minutes before they get stuck on purple ad screen, sometimes permanently (repeats 30 sec countdown forever). My insight is to fix this.

Didn't see you there, that's because there's a purple message box covering the entire stream. It says that 3rd party browser extensions can decrease the quality of the stream-viewing experience. But given that the stream was just fine running at 1080p 60 fps and the only issue i've had is that box blocking the view (and muting the sound) for 30 seconds, i'd call this a big Kappa. Here's something else fun, whenever the timer reaches 0 for the 1st time, it resets. Gee I sure am glad that those "technical issues" caused by browser addons are now gone with a small price of 1 whole minute of being unable to watch the stream few times every hour. It even appears after dissabling both adblocks i'm using, you guys must be serious about your users getting that message. After all, it's not like people with actual technical problems would seek out help on their own. No, its best to ruin the fun everyone. Or is the true content that you are worried about, the stuff that those extensions got rid of for us? We better hear about an analyst not wanting to go to Yemen no matter at what point of the stream it might pop up. So Twitch, if you're sincere and that message, stop blocking the steams with that box, and let us, your viewers enjoy what we've enjoyed here for years.

My ad block is disabled/Twitch is whitelisted. This is pretty frustrating and hurts the streamers as well as infuriating users.

This purple screen saying I'm not watching on Twitch is just stupid. Even when I disable ad blocker it still shows up. It also says it's for 30 seconds but that "30 seconds" repeats like 10 times in a row. Being a sub to a channel stops it but why would I sub to a channel I can't watch? If this isn't amended you are going to kill your platform, please listen to you community, this won't get you profits in the long run.

Same here. Never saw the purple screen before yesterday (02/24/2021), and now it's showing up so frequently I feel like I'm watching more purple screen than streamer. My ad block is off, I'm watching on Twitch.tv itself, I don't have any other extensions or anything to mess with this. Since I basically can't watch any streamers because of this, I'm just going to have to stop watching Twitch altogether until this gets fixed.

I deactivated AdBlock for all things Twitch since November and I started recently getting messages saying that I am using Adblock. I lose part of the streams from my paid subscription tier 3 from my favorite streamers. Please stop hiding the streams that I'm watching and PAYING for behind purple warning messages.

This purple screen has got to be fixed... I disabled ADblock for Twitch but i don't wanna remove it... It has really good uses for other sites. Purple screen pops like every 15 minutes... What is this nonsense. If this is a bug fix it, but if this is really you forcing us to disable adblock for everything that's really bs. I watch a ton of content but today this is really unbearable and frustrating...

Please remove this we all know its better to be on twitch if we want to interact with the stream and im still getting this popping up every 5 - 10 minutes even with adblock turned off and restarting chrome its actually ruining twitch for me and making me want to find a better platform

I have paused AdBlock, refreshed the stream, closed the tab, paused AdBlock again and refreshed the stream again and I'm still getting paused 2 minutes out of every 10 minutes. This is ridiculous, you are going to destroy support for your content creators.

I have ad block BUT it is disabled on twitch.
So this message makes no sense. Especially when you get it several times in half an hour.

Make the purple ad screen of death disappear when on the main twitch URL! I have no ad block running and Twitch still says that i'm on a third party website. When this happens i get 4 separate ad breaks in the span 10 MINUTES. Completely ruins me wanting to be watching the stream. I have no third-party tools or extensions running on the domain.

Thanks Twitch, this purple screen is a really great feature that definitely doesn't make me want to never watch anything on this platform again.

I'm having the same issue. I paused the adblocker and the purple screen continued to pop up. Therefore, i turned it off together along with everything else and restarted my browser repeatedly, however the purple screen keeps popping up every 10 minutes. How do i fix this and shut it off? It's hard to watch and enjoy streams because of this feature. It seems no matter which way i go about it, the screen will continue to show up even if i shut off the adblocker. This only started happening today.
