Freezing adds prevent me from watching streams
Not sure if I'm the only one who has this problem. I can't watch any stream that has adds enabled because the add freezes after 5 seconds and the timer doesn't update/go down. I restarted my pc but the problem remains (Using twitch for many years but never had this problem).

Still a problem for me. I'm unable to watch streams 75% of the time. Windows 11 (also happened on 10) Laptop using most up to date Chrome. Hopefully, despite my ability to actually watch the content, the streamers still get credit for the view.
I'm a Mod on my brother's stream and I'm stuck sitting there just monitoring chat for all the bots/spammers that Twitch lets thru, without being able to actually engage/help him while he plays
This has been a problem for nearly a year for me and is really embarrassing for Twitch, but they obviously don't seem to care as this was reported over three years ago at best, and they haven't remedied the problem.

Still get this randomly, watching on iPad using browser does not matter if safari/edge/chrome.
It is only the ad that freezes can still see the stream playing in the window at top of chat without issue.
Sometimes no matter how many refreshes cannot get past the ad. -

Same here, the ads sometimes simply hang... I have to refresh the page several times until no ads appears.

No matter what streamer I watch, whenever I go to watch a streamer, an advertisement appears. It does not matter what advertisement it is, i have tried firefox and chrome and neither seems to fix the issue. This has been going on for 3 months now. 5 seconds, ad freezes. Refresh page, new ad, new timer, 5 seconds freeze, refresh, new timer, 5 seconds, freeze, refresh, new ad, new timer, 5 seconds freeze..... Either remove ads from running in the streamer video and put them somewhere else or twitch will be removed from my computer and you lose a viewer.

Advertisements freeze when I'm watching a stream. I'm sure it's not an internet issue because afterwards the stream works just fine. It happens always, with any streamer. I take around 2 minutes to watch a 30 second add because of that.
