Video quality option for ads
It is somewhat annoying to sit through a buffering high quality ad for a minute before returning to the stream.

I run on 4mbps download and 2mbps upload with a 12ms ping. I would love to watch ads in 480P like i do the streams so it doesn't take me 2 minutes for a 30 second ad. Would be very nice. Sometimes it carries over and does the 480P quality but most of the time it doesn't. Please help twitch.

Allow us to watch streams in 480p with no ads. If this is a server cost issue then this should fix things. I'd rather watch in bad quality, uninterrupted, than deal with these extremely intrusive ads.

This also happens if you pause and resume the video just after the pre-roll ad. If you are delayed which happens a lot after ads, a pause and play catches you back up to current time, but then starts another ad.

I get 30 second pre-roll ads for changing the quality after just watching a 30 second ad? This hurt the channel so much because I honestly just want to click off the entire site.

Change quality setting = ad plays
Open a stream on your desktop you already have open on your mobile = ad plays
Switch between audio only and video on mobile = ad plays
Pause a stream and come back after a couple mins = ad playsCan we keep it to an ad ONLY plays once when you first open a stream, unless the streamer sets for ads to play every X mins. You can keep track of this via the account and not muddy the waters with only local app tracking.

Why is there no video quality setting for ads? I'm sure this has come up before but it's just annoying sometimes to get a thirty second ad and have it take 2 minutes to run. If there was some way a user could change the ad video quality setting or in quality settings to "play all ads in [this quality]".
