Include Gift Subs in the Partner Plus program
The Partner Plus program is a great step in the right direction for creators on Twitch and I am grateful for the opportunity for a 70/30 split.
However, this program should include gift subscriptions.
The requirement of “a sub count of at least 350 recurring paid subscriptions for three consecutive months” is only achievable for a small percentage of streamers, even those with a high CCV that qualifies them to be in the top 1% of the platform. It is not only difficult to achieve for even those dedicated to Twitch, but having this requirement may even discourage gift subscriptions in communities because being gifted a subscription could take away the possibility of somebody subscribing on their own. To continue to increase revenue for both content creators and Twitch itself, it is essential to encourage gift subscriptions.
I believe there are multiple solutions that could be discussed to allow gift subscriptions to count in the Partner Plus program while still being beneficial for all of us:
1) Include gift subscriptions in the 350 sub requirement
2) Add an additional requirement of 350 recurring paid subscriptions OR 500+ gift subs (or any other number deemed profitable/reliable, I just put 500 as a basepoint suggestion)
3) Extend the requirement for gift subs, example: 350 recurring paid subscriptions over three consecutive months OR 350 consistent gift subscriptions over six consecutive months
So many of us have stayed dedicated to Twitch and prioritized subscriptions as our main source of revenue (me included). Now more than ever, encouraging gift subscriptions is essential for success for us all.

I wanted to add that a lot of the pushback on Twitter is that streamers will "abuse" this and gift subs to themselves. Please consider restrictions here too if this is a real concern - whether it's gift subs to yourself don't count, or an IP address restriction. I'd even go so far as to say re-evaluating Partnership for a streamer who abuses this system. Ultimately, we want success for us and Twitch. Encouraging gift subs encourages revenue. Help us help you.

Please consider this. I maintain over 1000 subs with gifts every month.

Add Gift Subs to the count, you cowards. You'd be rolling in money if you actually did that because people are more likely to gift Subs if the creator is going to be getting a larger cut.
There is literally zero incentive for you to hoard the split in this way. You'd make more money and have happier, more willing Creators on the platform if you just give a bigger split.
Stop it with the boomer logic. It's not 1967 anymore, it's 2023. Pay your Creators what they're worth across the board and give a larger split to everyone.

This just opens door to abuse by streamers. Gifting themselves a large amount of subs, and then enjoy 70/30 for a year.
Gift subs are still encouraged, and if you can't appreciate them without them counting towards the Partner plus programm, you are not worthy of them?

The current policy pretty much punishes a streamer for receiving gift subs. Say Bob is being extremely generous and gifts 100 subs to CoolGuy1084's channel. If even 20 of those who recieved the gift sub were going to sub themselves later in the month, Bob hurt CoolGuy's chances of getting the new split by 20 subs. Those 20 got the subs for free instead of paying for the subs themselves, as they planned.
It's just such a weird decision by Twitch. Gift subs shouldn't be discouraged.

So is Twitch going to reduce the cut they take from gifted and prime subs if they don't count towards the Partner Plus program?

Stop pretending to support creators and actually support them

The fact that Twitch makes money on gifted subs should only incentivize them to support it. More money for the streamer=more reason to promote subs=more revenue for Twitch.

I really feel as though we should be judged via sub points. Why do they exist if they count for nothing on the platform. GIFTEDS MATTER A LOT

It doesn't make sense for Gift Subs to NOT count for the sub goal for Partner Plus. Otherwise it just seems like Gift Subs are not as important.
Honestly having them not count to the sub total feels like Favoritism or Elitism on a streaming platform.

This would incentivize so much more for partners and the platform across the board. PLEASE. reconsider this including gift subs. We love twitch :(

Raise it to 1000-1200 but include gift subs. Also, Tier 2 and 3 subs should CLEARLY be counted. Another way would be to go off straight revenue seeing as it all spends the same. There are so many ways to do this. 350 unique subscriptions is ridiculous.

Please consider adding gift subs for this. It's revenue and it helps channels reach that Partner Plus goal. It's a bit weird that gift subs count as a sub, but they wouldn't count for the new partner program? Sometimes people prefer to support a channel this way over subbing just for themselves.

Considering tier 1, 2, 3 subs are the same revenue for Twitch regardless if they're gifted or not - gifted subs should absolutely be included in the Partner Plus program.

Not counting gift subs only hurts creators who are trying to grow and sustain themselves naturally using the tools given to them by Twitch themselves. I Don't understand why creators should be punished for having a community that enjoys gifting subs.

It is essential that gifted subscriptions are included as a qualifying means for the Partner Plus program. Partners work incredibly hard for twitch, bringing new people to the platform through their, often unpaid, work on other social media's like tiktok and instagram; as well as incentivising viewers to gift subscriptions constantly in new and creative ways, thus earning twitch additional thousands each month. It is vital to twitch's longevity, and streamer's ability to put so much effort and time into their content by being full time streamers, that twitch fairly pays partners. 50/50 is greatly below other streaming services revenue share, many of which are 90/10, with the lowest of competitors being 70/30 on Youtube. Viewers want to support streamers, and through research, polling and discussions over many years it is clear that an increase in sub split would in most, if not all cases, earn twitch more money as communities would be more incentivised to use twitch's features of support. I would like to see a reduction in recurring self-paid subscription requirements to an achievable number for partners such as 50-100, but an additional criteria of a number such as 300-400 gifted subscriptions over a period of 3 months. The streaming space is changing, companies are showing that 70/30 is achievable, whilst continuing to flourish as a service. Only giving this industry standard to 2.5% of partners is unfair, unjust and despicable.

Gifted subs should 100000% count otherwise Twitch shouldn't be taking a cut of gift sub revenue.
The only reason Twitch doesn't want to include gift subs in the numbers is because they know more partners will be able to hit the requirements for the 70/30 split, and they don't really want it. This whole program was a performative piece and I cannot be convinced otherwise anymore

Gifted subs should definitely count at the very least.

Signing in agreement. THIS would be a step in the right direction. I can imagine the fight for an equal 70/30 split is still a way to go but at least this is giving some more opportunities to those outside of the 1%. ALL SUBS MATTER (including Prime)
