tVOS 17.0 Twitch App video goes black after 5 minutes of watching

Re posting this to the TV App bugs.

Multiple users having issues with the app during any sort of playback.

The Twitch Apple TV app does not work on the new tvOS 17.0 OS . When watching a VOD or live stream, the video will suddenly go all black but the sound will continue playing.

This issue has been reported multiple times not only here but also as feedback, and nothing has been done, and there have been no acknowledgements from the team.

    Given that Twitch are ignoring this issue, I would suggest reporting this directly to Apple and requesting they review the apps suitability to be on the Apple TV app store given its badly broken.

    Additionally leaving a 1 star review on the app store may also be a means to draw attention to this issue given Twitch seem incapable of fixing it or communicating with their users.

    I also commented on the other post. Screen went black 7 times in an hour last night. Normal behavior since update. Twitch obviously could care less about this because they haven't responded to either post. Please update the app or fix the issue.

    This is a major issue that directly impacts the basic function of the app. It's been an ongoing issue for many people, and frankly I'm astounded that it hasn't been taken care of yet.

    VODs are unwatchable on the Apple TV App. This has been going on for well over a month. Please fix ASAP!

    Just bought Twitch Turbo 2 days ago after discovering the Apple TV app. Encountered this bug almost immediately and it's too annoying to deal with so I'm trying to cancel Turbo and get my money back.

    I’ve been experiencing this, it also impacts live streams, but VODs mostly. I’ve logged support tickets twice regarding the issue as the first ticket was auto response.
    It’s quite frustrating and is the reason why I currently am not subscribing to Turbo.

    Yep. The only way to watch Twitch through Apple TV is the AirPlay it from my iPhone to my AppleTV 4K. Using the Twitch app on the AppleTV is useless.

    Ongoing super annoying issue. Has been going on for many weeks now.

    Really making me miss the “Twitchy” app you guys killed when bringing this official app to the appletv.

    The adverts come through fine, so we know the priority.

    Thank you for creating this post so we can vote. This has been an issue for more than two months now. Twitch is bugged for everyone on Apple TV.
