3. Software update

Lately when going to my stream comments, the keyboard takes forever to appear, sometimes it pretends to come up but just goes away, whatever I type takes forever to appear, and sometimes it’ll just put a letter and make it disappear. Also the customer support process has been extra complicated for me.

7. Update when stream drops unexpectedly.

Mine and my partners streams drop unexpectedly and we have no idea the stream is not live anymore until we pull the account up where it says how long ago since the last live stream. it’s getting ridiculous to the point where we do not want to use twitch any longer. update after update after update but this has been an ongoing issue for 2+ months.

12. Optimize user experience

Reverting most of the mobile features while still forcing the “live” screen as the landing page just shows how insecure the devs or the team is. They acknowledge how terrible the last ui update was but refuses to fix it and still tries to force the tiktok-style on a streaming platform. No one in their mother scrolls that section of the app, while most even disabled the auto play i bet. Please just optimize user experience. Let users have the freedom of choosing what to watch from their following list (just slip in some suggestions down the list), don’t force one singular suggestion and use up the entirety of the screen

17. Android App v21.9.1 - Usability has become horrible

The list of followed channels is unusable for me in this way.
It lacks the clarity of the old list (see also the Twitch.tv website). By old list I mean the list where only the stream name, its category and its current number of viewers are displayed (as on the website).
What bothers me about the new view is the significantly slower speed, because the images take longer to load and I'm not interested in the tags and the current stream title at this point. I find this wealth of information unnecessarily inflates the list and also generates an unnecessary amount of additional data volume.
I would have liked more information from the developers in the Google Play Store, because after all, what is the point of the ‘New functions’ section?
I don't think it's good that the developers are forcing users to do something that they might not even want (the motto ‘Arbeit macht Frei’ (work makes you free) has only meant negative things in the past). In my opinion, app developers do not consider their users to be responsible fellow human beings and restrict their free choice with such updates.
I would have much preferred to have been asked whether I wanted the list in short form or in detailed form. Why don't the developers leave it up to the users to decide which view they want to use?
Another problem is that you can't undo such unwanted updates via the Google Play Store (analogous to a murder - if you're dead, you're dead, well, the dead man was unlucky).
There are even general moments when I ask myself whether it still makes sense to use the Twitch Android app on a mobile phone or simply use the web browser with the Twitch website. How can you trust developers who usually only attract attention through negative changes?
Unfortunately, I have now reached the point where I no longer allow automatic updates to be installed so that I can decide for myself as an intelligent person whether I have to go along with every change.

For the Android app, I would like the user to have the choice of what the list should look like. From my point of view, the reintroduction of the button from before with the short list of links that appears would be sufficient. The new view can then remain. This would give the user the choice of which list to use.
It does make a difference if I only see 5 entries on my display when there were previously around 20.
Especially for Nadroid users with many followed channels, the new view is clearly a disadvantage compared to web browser users.
This is my opinion and suggestion, I am happy to answer any questions you may have.

20. Make followed categories a selectable filter in search

It's helpful that followed categories can be seen again, but the way they are implemented is not ideal. If there are many live followed streamers you have to scroll several times to reach the followed category list, and every time you exit a category the "followed" tab will reset to the top, dragging you away from the followed categories. Ideally there could be a filter in the "search" tab to view only followed categories, either in order of viewers or in order of when you followed them.

Another solution would be to simply display the followed categories at the top of the "followed" tab instead of below live streams, since it takes up little space and the page resetting wouldn't force you to scroll back to them. I'd personally prefer the search tab offer a filter for followed categories, simply because vertical scrolling with multiple options arranged in rows and columns is more comfortable than horizontal scrolling with only a single row.
