1. Easy mobile fix

   Hey Twitch. I saw your post on Twitter. You clearly don't listen to feedback, so here's a really simple way to please everyone.

   1. Restore the following tab
   2. Put the new discovery feed in the old discovery tab
   3. Give users an option of whether they want the following or discovery tab to be default.
   4. Ship it

   Stop taking half steps and a year to iterate. This should be a trivial step forward to actually delivering people what they want.

   Unless your goal is to anger your users, you should really consider actually listening and communicate more than once every two months.

2. Twitch punishing Mobile User

   So now I receive an e-mail tonight to say that the prices are going up for Android and iOS user of the mobile app that they use for gifting. Apparently the price is going up to £6.49 for tier one subs. So not only do you not listen to your user and bring in a useless User UI which the person who designed it wants sacking now you decide that mobile phone user have to pay for the redesign that not one of your users wanted and needed. Bravo Twitch, you know how to ruin your User base because this has just alienated the lot of us and don't be surprised if there is a mass exodus from User and streamers because of what you are doing. According to the e-mail, this is going up and hitting 40 countries. This just proves that no one at twitch listens to their user base because you are taken from granted, Well done Twitch you have just ****** off your community. The increase will happen November 1st.

3. Unblock mobile browser chat

   Don't force mobile users to use the app for chat. Allow mobile users to chat when using twitch in a mobile browser. This at least provides users an alternative to the poorly received app update.

   The useless updated version. The new version makes it extremely difficult to see the tracked anchors. Please add another page to your company. You can only see the tracked anchors and slide up and down. Otherwise, you need to click one by one to watch the tracked anchors. The previous version will be integrated into one layout and more convenient. You won't watch an anchor from Pull the following list to the top, and pull it down again with your hand.

5. App Update (other than UI)

   Can’t even see the full amount of my channel points when watching a specific channel. Nothing past the decimal point. Before it would show, for example 10.1k, and I can click on it to see the full number, but now I can’t see past the first two digits.

   As for the UI update, the Infinite Scroll feed already existed in the app as a tab you can navigate to, it wasn’t hidden or anything, and I would actually sometimes use it, but I hate how now it’s the only option. It takes away from seeing content specifically from channels you follow. You could’ve improved on the existing UI without removing the original home feed.

6. New IOS update is laggy, cuts streams out, mutes them, auto plays random "recommended" streams, and slows my phone down.

   Twitch should revert to something like old user interface when opening the twitch app. This new IOS update is an unconventional "tik tok" dashboard showing random streamers. The new UI just makes it more annoying to just watch who we want. People just want to watch the streamers they follow and sub to. Please just replace the automatic "recommended" stream pop up when I load IOS twitch. Thank you.

7. Correct Regressions in Core Functionality Since Update

   The new redesign has brought some improvements to the mobile app, especially around the clips section and the experience there. However there have been some noticeable regressions around accessing and browsing your followed channels that I think need some work to at least return to feature parity with the old app.

   First and most important, there is no way to see your followed channels with thumbnails and titles anymore. You have to either scroll for way too long to find the channels you want to check or you have to manually tap each one and see what they're doing. There is no way to do it at a glance. This is problem because the way I and most people use Twitch is as a combination of creator and content. When multiple creators I enjoy are live I'll tap the one doing the more interesting content to me. If two World of Warcraft streamers are live I'll probably watch the one raiding vs the one just leveling, but currently I have no way of knowing which is which. Just the category is not nearly enough as it's too broad and frequently not correctly updated. Being able to see content thumbnail and title is critically important.
   
   And please re-add the toggle that lets me sort the live followed channel list, by viewercount preferably or alphabetical or by follow date even, just in some way that things are always in the same place. The current "suggested" sorting feels random and never puts what I've opened the app for on top. I would rather have a static, consistent, order than some algorithm guessing at what I'm looking for.

   Second, I understand the scrolling wall is meant to promote creators you wouldn't click on otherwise by presenting them front and center in a view that already has your attention. But this has presented a problem, it has become frustrating to browse the home feed because I'm just not interested in most of the content on it. I understand the algorithm can learn and improve but ultimately I want to see the streamers I follow first and foremost and having recommended streamers mixed into that makes me want to avoid scrolling it at all as it's become frustrating to find the content I am actually looking for and I've found myself closing the app quickly..
   
   I think a reasonable middle ground is to add a "discover" view alongside "home" and "clips" that achieves this- a mix of followed channels and suggested ones that I can scroll through when I'm looking for something to watch without anything in mind. Change the current home to just be followed channels (preferably in a more compact format with titles and thumbnails) so I can quickly access the content I opened the app for without the frustration.

   I think this would be a good replacement for the following slide out generally, having it in the current button is too space limited and I sometimes miss the button and am again frustrated the app is not doing what it feels like it should be. A button tab or a feed I can swipe to would be so so much easier to use.

   Third, add a vods button at the bottom or SOMEWHERE. My favorite thing about the mobile app was how easy it made it to watch vods. I could easily catch up on streams I couldn't watch all of or ones I missed and it conveniently saved my spot and everything. It was easy to spend time on Twitch even when I couldn't find live content I wanted to watch because there was almost always VOD content I wanted to watch, to the point that I rarely visited YouTube. Now I find myself searching "<channel> vods" on YouTube because it's easier to do that than dig to them in the app. A simple button on the bottom maybe next to browse would bring me back so quickly.

   Finally, a "dislike" button on content in feeds would be incredibly beneficial to curating them. It doesn't need to be a publicly viewable metric about how good or bad a stream is, just a way to guide the algorithm about what you want to see less often without completely blocking it with the "do not show me this content" option.

   The new clips feed is a great improvement to a feature that felt like an afterthought before and I'm glad to see it getting some love but please restore the basic functionality that's been lost in the transition. It's extremely frustrating to not be able to easily use the app anymore and more often than not I just close it a few seconds after opening it now.

9. Channel Randomly Changes

   I don’t want the channel I’m already watching to suddenly change to another channel!!! This “feature” also happened while I was on Stream Manager during my own livestream. I went to give a shoutout, and suddenly I’m in another channel!!! I have no idea if my message randomly appeared in someone else’s chat, but I was both infuriated and mortified!!! This update has been a nightmare!

10. Bring back the "upcoming streams" section

    One of my use-cases for the mobile app was to use the "upcoming streams" section to check what streams are scheduled for the day. The new TikTok-style update seems to have removed that section, so now I have to rely on the "following" page on the website instead.

    Please bring back the "upcoming streams" section, and provide the ability to see more than 6 upcoming streams. Being limited to 6 can severely limit how far you can see ahead once you're following more than a handful of people. Perhaps it would work better as a vertically scrolling list, rather than a horizontal one.

12. Ban bots that say

    Ban ALL bots saying “Cheap or Best viewers [insert suspicious link].” (Or something similar)
    Can ALL streamers have this done automatically? I’m sick and tired seeing these bots in streams I moderate for, and having to add the same blocked terms when Twitch seems to allow these bots to roam free to say useless things in chat.

    There is a report option, yet why is there a random flood of these bots saying the same annoying things. It ruins stream enjoyment when the streamer, moderators, and REAL viewers have to see these pointless messages when they could have been avoided in the first place.

13. Don’t immediately pause my audio when I open the iOS app

    Until I interact with something in the app, be it the feed or the follow list, don’t hijack the audio session. Only when the user unmutes the feed or selects a channel should the app activate audio. It’s a horrible experience to open the app to find something while listening to a podcast or another video, and have the audio instantly muted.

    It would be such an amazing experience for Android users to be able to see comments made with /announce. This feature was added 2 years ago and it is kind of wild. As of today, August 2, 2024, Android has a 71.63% Global Market Share: StatCounter.com (https://gs.statcounter.com/os-market-share/mobile/worldwide/#yearly-2009-2023). So many content creators use /announce or /pin, neither which can be seen on Android devices, to advertise, give trigger warnings, or other important information the viewer may need to see.

    For two years, you have neglected fixing this issue despite the many times it has been brought up on social media. Two years is a ridiculous amount of time to "test a feature on iOS". Dan Clancy said in the Open Letter underneath the section titled Improving the Twitch Mobile Experience on March 6, 2024, "many of our mod tools have been available on desktop only, a real limitation to keeping your communities safe. Our mod tools should be flexible, easy to use, and move with you."

    With the feature implemented today (mobile redesign adding a TikTok-like interface), it has been made clear that Twitch cares more about improving additional ways to gain revenue and not about the user's experience. Please make the two applications work identically to each other. This problem does not exist on other streaming platforms.

No es tiktok! 16. Sorting options for the following list after TikTok’d update

    Have sorting options for the following list just like in desktop/pc. The current layout on mobile for the following list is chaotic, random and probably based on algorithms just like everything else these days. A small simple menu to sort your followers in A-Z, high-low viewers or either of those in reverse would make it easier and less frustrating to navigate

    No entiendo la nueva app. Se actualizó sola. Abro la app como todos los días y empezó a reproducirse un stream random a todo volumen, me costó un poco ver donde apretar para que aparezcan mis seguidos y tampoco se detuvo el stream. Scrolleas y te salen streams que no seguís. Entiendo que quieran actualizar pero esto no es tiktok. La gente sigue el contenido que le gusta y elige, por qué cambian lo que funciona?
