Hole punch camera support I recently upgraded my phone to the Pixel 5 with a hole punch camera in the front.
Netflix and Youtube support this via a pinch out zoom and fills the width of the screen, it appears that the Twitch app is almost there as it seems to support a pinch out zoom but it won't go all the way over and stops with a black bar over the camera and status bar area.
I would like the pinch out to zoom to fill the whole screen! Thank you

Make it Friendlier to Mobile Users Making everything about the channel layout more accessible to mobile users would be a huge advantage, as currently the experience for mobile users is heavily compromised (inability for mobile users to interact with Twitch Polls is the exact reason I don't use them, for example).
If the changes to this can be made in a way that makes it easier to communicate things like schedule and 'about the streamer' to a mobile user, I can get behind that, but otherwise I find there is very little redeeming about this new layout.10 votes -
Recent update is extremely buggy Current iOS app version is extremely buggy.
- Following tab will frequently jitter around at a rapid rate requiring a restart
- chat messages sometimes frequently don’t render. Rotating to wide view and back will render those chats
- pinned and banners often don’t render
- at times all stream control functions disappear. Unable to pause, zoom, exit, etc. requires restart.
- attempting to view a stream after being in chat only can sometimes not start the stream requiring a restart.
None of these bugs existed before the recent update. I am beginning to look for an alternative app.

Bring back the "Following Since" date to Mobile Chat User Cards! The recent mobile app update that removed the "Following Since" date from chat user cards has made it incredibly difficult to connect with my community. As a mobile user, I relied heavily on clicking a chatter's name to instantly see their followage time. This was my main way to recognize, celebrate, and properly greet true, long-time fans when they typed in chat.
Manually looking up follow dates via slow chat commands completely kills the natural flow of talking to viewers. Please bring back public follow dates to mobile user cards so we can keep building strong, welcoming communities on the…

persistent overlay buttons in landscape it was gone for a few weeks but now the annoying button overlay is back and stuck in the corner of my screen blocking what i want to watch, please add an option to disable it

Remove gift sub, bits, channel points from appearing in full screen mode It is extremely annoying and distracting, I use full screen for a reason, so nothing else is on the screen. It even appears over the stream if I stretch it. At the very least make it toggleable.

Please stop sending me “stream streak” push notifications Please stop sending me “stream streak” push notifications, a form of marketing. I have live notifications for specific channels and gift-sub notifications enabled, all others explicitly disabled. There is no category for this new form of notification either to enable or disable it. Therefore, this is a form of unsolicited marketing communication and may arguably even be illegal in some jurisdictions with no way to opt-out.

Picture in Picture My device mutes when I return to the app from picture-in-picture mode. Pressing the mute button twice in the bottom right corner of the streaming screen unmutes it. I tried all the troubleshooting steps suggested by twitchJP but the problem persisted.

Remove the ads so much ads How do you guys give more ads than watching the stream it gets annoying when your just trying t watch your fav streamer and then you have to watch 30 ads. new UI The new TikTok themed UI is terrible. I was already on the fence about using twitch, but there are some streamers and content I like to support.
After the recent update, I can just watch most of the streams (or at least vods) on YouTube.
Thanks for the new UI, because it encouraged me not to use this platform anymore.

ads on the side if you show me any more ads on the side of the screen, i will blend your toenails. every brand i see advertising there becomes instantly top of my “never buy” list. whatever scumbag sitting fat in your corporate office that came up with that needs to be hung on a cross.

Change to homepage The updated homepage is not very user friendly IMO especially since I’m already subscribed to turbo. I really dislike the reels style and having to swipe down or click other buttons to see what the people I follow are on playing etc. I’d suggest giving the consumer the option of having it whichever way they choose.

Could we have the option to toggle between the new updated app layout and the previous layout? The new layout is not intuitive and Very inaccessible. I would like to be able to toggle back to the old layout on my ios device so I have access to all the accessibility features the app previously had. And I don’t mean just adding a couple of those features, I mean access to the old layout, the look and the menus.

The app is mostly pointless. I just spent all this time once again looking for a simple feature on the app. I was trying to delete a stream and it turns out I have to go to the desktop version on my phone. If I have to go to the desktop version on my phone to do simple things like deleting a video, the app is pointless. Just complaining!!! I don’t really like the new format of having to scroll up and down to channels like how social media works. Every time coming out of stream to check on something else, it’s always on pauses and it’s very annoying for me to go back to continue playing the stream. I like how it was for IOS. Simply go to channel that you wanna watch then shrinks the stream while having stream continue playing, and I can scout freely without missing anything until I decided to watch other stream.

Can we get a static home screen back please? Please give us back our following list, with the tiktok and youtube shorts clone screens as options please? I would open the app to see who's online and then make an informed decision about who i want to watch, the more steps you place in front of that, the less i want to do it.
