Revert new app changes
Please revert these new changes made to the app. I can’t use the app properly anymore. When I open twitch I want to see my follow list, who’s on and what they are streaming, not some random stream that starts playing.
Also where did the “continue watching” list go? I can’t see it anywhere. Do I actually have to go through profiles and search through vods and try to remember which specific vid I was watching?
Wow! These new changes are a nightmare, please revert to the original format before I delete the app.

Terrible app update. Don’t want a TikTok experience. Uninstalled the app until it’s reverted.
When will Twitch listen to its user base?

I have to be honest, since twitch added the tiktok app style as a streamer i got recently more followers and viewers. But I know the problem that not many people like it aswell. So we should come down to a good compromise.
Many people dont like the tiktok style as the twitch mobile app offers with its newest updates. I think you should really bring up the old style, but implement also a short based side. So if you open the app, it will just be like the old one before the update. Then you can swipe to the right to see to most popular shorts in your field of interest.

This update is clearly NOT for existing users. Existing users know what they want to watch, and they watch a lot of Twitch, so this nonsense slows down those people's ability to do that. This update is for new people who've never used Twitch before. And it's sad that they'll toss the existing communities' needs for a theoretical audience of short attention span TikTok users. "It's a bold strategy Cotton, let's see if it pays off for 'em."

How the heck am I supposed to navigate twitch with the new changes to the app. I scroll through random streamers 1 at a time? It's awful - 100% revert it back to the way it was...

Just proves that those at Twitch do not listen to feed back about their app or don't give a toss about the complaints that they get from their users and streamers about reverting the mobile app back to the way the User UI was before this Tiktok USER UI was released to us. You just have to look at the closed thread for the rollout of the User UI and every single one was a complaint. There is 69 pages full of the locked thread and nearly every single complaint is complaining about the new User UI and that it should go back to the way it was before. The worst thing a company could do is NOT listen to their user base because if Twitch doesn't listen to their user base then there will be no user base for their services because until the app is reversed back to the old version of the mobile app before the User UI I will not be using the mobile app. See normally companies need their feedback and if the feedback is stating that they don't want the new User UI then it should be changed back to the way it was and if this new User UI is released for the PC website then I will be done with Twitch and walk away. There is now plenty of streaming websites out there now. See Twitch is living on past glories as being the only streaming website for gaming etc when it was the only one out there. Now there is hundreds if not thousands of streaming websites out there that do a better services than Twitch and give their streamers a higher percentage than what Twitch does. A company needs its User base to succeed and if a company f's off it user base then it hasn't succeeded and when companies don't have a user base they normally drowned. The problem with Twitch is the people running the show think they know better than the user base which is the wrong mentality to take as a company normally fails when it takes that metallity and to be quite honest it wouldn't surprise me if Twitch does fail as the people running the show know they have had thousands of complaints about the new User UI and have done nothing to stop the complaints from coming in. Well when you have no User Base then come back to me and say to me you were right as it is going to happen as people are getting fed up of Twitch and I know of a few are willing to leave Twitch because of the way they treat us as a User Base and as a Streamers.

The largest thread on your mobile feedback page and your take away is to make the following menu sortable.
What A Joke.
That is merely a symptom of the problem we want you to address. Remove the scrolling feed or at the very least hide it behind a menu.
I didn't come to Twitch for doomscrolling. I can do that literally everywhere else.
I came to your platform for your one unique feature, you do live better than anyone else. Your defining feature relies entirely on viewer interaction and familiarity with the streamer. Quite the opposite of the environment you create by introducing a scrolling feed.TikToks and shorts work because they're carefully selected, action packed clips designed to catch your attention. The chance of this happening naturally in the fraction of a second in which you're scrolling past a live stream is one in a million. At least the clips feed makes sense, but clips have never been (nor should they become) your main feature.
This update is fundamentally flawed in its conception and I haven't seen a single person who doesn't have at least one problem with it.
Guess I'm rolling back to 20.02.1 for now

Oh look! An update was pushed out! Ope! Mobile app still stinks. Go figure.

This update is absolutely horrendous. It forces me to watch some random person who I have no interest in every time I open the app. The “recommended for you” section is also gone now, why would they think that this was a good idea? Did they not listen to any of the feedback they received during the testing phase where users were vehemently opposed to it? Will not be using this app anymore until these changes are reverted.

Current version of the mobile app is frankly unusable. Who seriously thought that scrolling through streams was the correct direction? Whichever developer made this was probably laughing all the way to the bank. The app is useless. Twitch is not TikTok, Twitch is not Instagram. All that has been accomplished with this update is the absolute alienation of mobile users.

Until the app is usable again I might just delete it and use the browser instead on mobile, it's just that garbage now.

It's been a month since I first complained about this. This isn't just growing pains of learning a new UI, it is genuinely bad UX/UI design. It's harder to find what I want, takes significantly more "clicks" to do anything I want, and the back button when watching a stream absolutely does no do what any user would ever expect or want, and is multiple "clicks" away from getting back to that stream. (Which absolutely violates core rules and concepts of UX across every single medium in existence, VR, mobile, web, application...)
It is absolutely insane this ever made it into production, and whoever is responsible, as in the manager in charge of overseeing this and said to make this go live, should get a few weeks of unpaid time off, and no possibility of a bonus for 2 years. (I won't go as far as to say fired, but enough time away to think about what they did wrong.) [This should only be done to the single higher up that was responsible, not the employees forced to do the work, that are probably too afraid to speak against higher ups, which clearly the UX/UI person should be part of final review, with QA, before final release too.]

The new update is horrendous. Twitch is NOT some braindead 5-second attention span site like Tiktok or Instagram. No one wants to swipe up to see the next stream and be subjected to pre-roll ads. Undo this awful mess immediately

I was lucky that the new 'twitch-tok' update downloaded first on a old almost dead phone first; my god it is horrible auto-playing video and audio on startup is a hard NO from me on anything no exceptions. I disabled auto updates on my good phone and will use the old version until it stops working then I'll stop using it period; security issues be damned.
The only way I'll ever use a newer version than the one I have (Android 19.6.1) is to restore all removed features (the inability to sort my follow list is a royal pain) and disable auto-play audio on start (ideally video too but audio is non negotiable) there are several types of instances where uncontrolled audio blasting through my phone is at best rude.
I primarily use the browser version but the pre 'twitch-tok' version has been useful when I'm lying in bed or outside but if I can't utilize the pre 'twitch-tok' version or a newer version that meets all the above criteria in my comment then I WILL go without the mobile app.

The new app attempts improvements but ultimately fails in a number of omissions.
1) Continue watching and recommendations on my follow list are gone.
2) The following list is not sort-able in any way which is very disorienting. I'm used to looking for my favorite streams by list of viewers, which is reliable, and also can show me if a particular streamer is "popping off" at any given time.
3) I cannot browse by game categories to find new streamers streaming games I like. I would routinely find new streamers this way.I don't mind the aesthetic changes, but please add back the missing functionality.

When will twitch speak about the OVERWHELMING amount of negative feedback it received about their dumpster fire of an update? The longer they wait, the more frustrated their shrinking user base gets…

This update has made using the mobile version of Twitch much worse. It is harder to find the users that I'm following, and once do look at them it sorts them randomly and I can't see stream titles like I used to
I also can't see the game categories that I followed either

Twitch's new app setup makes it hard for people to just go straight to their favorite streamers from the get go when opening up the stream.
I do like the idea of finding new streamers, but not like this. Twitch doesn't have to be like tiktok. It would be nice to be counted for as a viewer for more than one stream of that mutes & lurks being counted as views.
