Revert new app changes
Please revert these new changes made to the app. I can’t use the app properly anymore. When I open twitch I want to see my follow list, who’s on and what they are streaming, not some random stream that starts playing.
Also where did the “continue watching” list go? I can’t see it anywhere. Do I actually have to go through profiles and search through vods and try to remember which specific vid I was watching?
Wow! These new changes are a nightmare, please revert to the original format before I delete the app.

If you want to add discovery, add a "FOR YOU" tab or something and revert the rest of the app back. I don't want the Tik-Tok esque experience for Twitch whatsoever. I also do not like that you're auto-sorting the streamers. I want to be able to sort either alphabetically or high-to-low and low-to-high.

Agree, the new Home on the app is terrible. I want to see my follow list who is on and what they are streaming. If im searching or browsing for new stuff then a preview to scroll thru is fine but not like this. twitch mobile android app. I have found myself immediately closing the app when i was about to watch something or just avoiding using twitch all together less.

Please revert to the previous update. The app is completely unusable in this state. Trash update.

I only ever watch VOD and having the 'continue watching' section taken away is incredibly annoying. I'd say you could add it as a tab in the Browse page next to Catagories & Live Channels, but there's so much criticism of the new layout that just reverting (or another complete overhaul) would probably be best.

Here's an idea: If you're so desperately trying to keep new people interested & staying on the platform, why not only show the new doom scrolling feature if nobody you already follow is live? That way new viewers who only follow a few people get shown new channels, but those who have been here a while and follow enough that one of them is always live get shown their list of them instead of unwanted randomness? And for people who are somewhere in between, it could still be useful. Because if they open the app & see a random channel playing, they know none of their favorites happen to be live at the moment. And they might actually be open to exploring at that point.
The way that it's set up right now, it's like you're getting the "annoy the viewer with an unwanted ad" factor every time we open the app, except Twitch isn't making making any money off of it. The worst possible combo.

I just updated the mobile app and I absolutely hate the new UI. Give me back the list with thumbnails so I don't have to doomscroll through 50 different streams to find who I'm looking for. It feels like TikTok or YT shorts... I hated it so much I haven't gotten past the homepage but I can only guess as to any other new "features" you've added.
Thanks twitch, you've improved the wheel by making it a triangle. -

As a customer, this is the first time I've ever felt the need to provide critical feedback for a product because usually if I don't like the product I don't buy it or I unsubscribe from it. But I've spent so long on Twitch watching streams with a lot of my favorite creators that I feel it's necessary to comment for their sake on this latest mobile update.
This feed is not something I want personally. I respect that it's trying to be a solution to pre-roll advertisements. So if you want it in the app, fine. But why eliminate the previous home screen? The old home screen had a list of my active followed streams, and many recommendations of other unfollowed streams and games. It was one screen that did everything your new feed is trying to do in 50 screens that all load separately. Why force one without the other, when we could have had both? It doesn't make sense.
I like Twitch and the communities it fosters, but this mobile app is such a downgrade that I will no longer be using it until changes are made. Thank you for reading.

For iOS users, I’ve found an app called “Frosty” which allows you watch twitch streams. It has features like NOT auto-playing streams when you open the app as well as better support for 3rd party emotes like 7TV and BTTV. You can’t use channel points or bit redeems but it’s a much better experience since the new app changes have been rolled out.

I instantly uninstalled the app after this most recent UI update. What a shame to throw away some much work for such a garbage update that no one asked for.

If I want short form video content, I’ll go to TikTok or Instagram. I’ve never installed those apps for a reason. Twitch is not a short form content platform. Please do not try to emulate their app designs.

I am actually trying « Frosty for Twitch » iOS app and it looks nice. It misses many features but it feels so great to see the following streamers list on start-up
