Revert the new mobile update
Every time I open the twitch app since the new update I want to die. I'm immediately inundated with a stream that I more than likely don't want to watch with volume on against my will. I can't immediately see who is streaming and find the stream I want to watch without going to a different menu. I can't browse through who is live without closing the stream I'm watching and opening one I don't want to watch and opening a separate menu. I understand you have to justify your jobs by making arbitrary changes so you can show your boss that you did something but this is awful and I can't believe someone actually thought this was a good idea. I genuinely hope that I have a heart attack and die every time I open twitch on mobile now.

Gracias

The old twitch app is back on my iPhone 6s Plus, but not on my iPhone 7

They finally brought back a proper Following section, with followed categories at the bottom and everything! :) Thank you!
Now... if we can just be allowed to set the Following tab as default when opening the tab, I'll be happy. -

It's back! The old Follow display/list/interface - whatever you want to call it, is back! Celebrate!

Given how many people are outraged by this, and the fact that there are dozens of these posts on Android and iOS, 6/10 most upvoted items on here across all topics, with over 3000 unique users clearly upset on this forum, which almost no users know this exists. Then the hundreds of thousands of users upset about this that have mentioned it in streamers' channels, which the majority of people don't both complaining for various reasons but are also upset, making it millions of people...
Probably best to not upset users who are already on the verge of protest due to mistreatment of their content creators on multiple platforms too. Basically, is Twitch trying to challenge YouTube to see which one will cease to exist first?

Couldn't agree more. This needs to be reverted, or offer a different option. I want to see a LIST of who I'm following who is currently streaming. That's my primary thing when I open the app.

Every time I open the app, I'm immediately filled with disgust and sadness. I then immediately close the app and open YouTube. This update is actively driving me away from twitch.
It's so disheartening and frustrating that Twitch are completely ignoring the vast, VAST majority of feedback on the layout.
If they're somehow gaining more user engagement from the update, it's surely just from people being confused and trying to find what they're wanting to see. -

Others have already explained the problems. This is actively causing me to use twitch less and watch it in a different app whenever possible. Listen to your community.

Totally agree!
When looking for a stream to watch, I want to see my followed channels, what they're streaming, their stream title, the thumbnail and how long they're already streaming. All of this information gives a crucial idea what's happening in the stream and if it will be interesting to me.
With the new changes, first of all the button to open the following list jumps after app start so I'm constantly opening stuff I don't want to.
Then, the list is not ordered consistently, only shows the streamer name and the category.
Especially for categories like "Just Chatting" the stream title is necessary information to get an idea what's going to happen in that stream.
The thumbnail gives an idea what a game that I don't know yet might be about (you can easily differentiate FPS, RTS, Racing, RPG games from a small screenshot).
The current runtime gives an estiamtion how long a stream might still continue and if (depending on topic/content) it's still worth joining an already longrunning stream. Please make the app usable again!!!

maybe they should have an option to let people choose the new or old UI whatever their preferences are. to me, the old UI is better as I just want to see who I have followed are streaming. the new UI doesn't suit me at all and it put me off considerably using the mobile app. this is almost like a tone deaf update.

It is a very jarring update that does not really work well (buggy!) But it also just tries to fit a square peg in a round hole.

What is this new update? Did anyone even test this garbage out? Did twitch actually pay someone to create this frustrating abomination? What was wrong with the way it was before? What was this update supposed to accomplish exactly? I want to be able to see the list of people I am following, the game they are playing, organized from most viewers to least viewers. I've been able to do this for years, but now I can't thanks to this new update. If I can't use twitch on my phone like I used to be able to, I am canceling my twitch turbo.

The new app attempts improvements but ultimately fails in a number of omissions.
1) Continue watching and recommendations on my follow list are gone.
2) The following list is not sort-able in any way which is very disorienting. I'm used to looking for my favorite streams by list of viewers, which is reliable, and also can show me if a particular streamer is "popping off" at any given time.
3) I cannot browse by game categories to find new streamers streaming games I like. I would routinely find new streamers this way.I don't mind the aesthetic changes, but please add back the missing functionality.

Absolutely unusable with this new UI. Whoever greenlit this should be fired.
I come to twitch to watch someone I follow for an extended period, not mindlessly scroll through people I don't care about.
You are not tiktok twitch, nor do we want you to be. Give me back thumbnails of live channels I follow. Don't make me open some menu at the top left of my screen, as far of a reach as is possible to tap. Honestly just go back to the old rev, there is nothing worth saving from this.
Somehow you expect this to add revenue. In reality, I'm canceling my Turbo and multiple subs. Mobile firefox has ublock. -

The new UI makes it horrible to navigate especially when several of my friends are streaming. I also don't care about the stories. Practically none of my regular streamers even make content on it. It should be an option if it's something you're interested in otherwise it's a waste of time.

The new UI design is complete ***. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the UI in the first place.
Might as well change your name from "Twitch" to "TwitchTok"
Its so bad that I've uninstalled the app. Please revert to the old UI or at least give us the option to toggle between.

Please, please, revert to the old format as fast as you can. I until now have been so happy with Twitch, I've never wanted to go anywhere else. Last year I was a top viewer and chatter, and I never realized how much time I spent here because I was enjoying myself.
Today, I find a horrible interface filled with large pics of videos I'm not interested in. Something I don't care about autoplays.
But worst of all, the Home sceen is deliberately blurred all around the central view. It upsets my eyes and gives me an almost instant headache. Where are your ergonomics people??? The eye muscles constantly trying to focus the un-focusable is exhausting and unhealthy. If there are people who LIKE this, then PLEASE make it a choice.
I had fallen in love with Twitch, and have subscribed long-term to several streamers. I don't want to be forced to leave but I cannot stand this.
