This experiment is now closed as the new mobile redesign is rolling out to all users. Thank you for all your feedback during the experiment. We released an update to respect your autoplay settings in the feed, muted the feed on open by default (you can adjust this in your settings), and added mute functionality directly to the feed to give you more control over your viewing experience. We also enabled PIP over feed and have been continuing to improve app performance since launch. Every time I open the twitch app since the new update I want to die. I'm immediately inundated with a stream that I more than likely don't want to watch with volume on against my will. I can't immediately see who is streaming and find the stream I want to watch without going to a different menu. I can't browse through who is live without closing the stream I'm watching and opening one I don't want to watch and opening a separate menu. I understand you have to justify your jobs by making arbitrary changes so you can show your boss that you did something but this is awful and I can't believe someone actually thought this was a good idea. I genuinely hope that I have a heart attack and die every time I open twitch on mobile now.
