[Feature] Stories on Twitch
Stories on Twitch is a new feature in the Twitch mobile app that helps you stay connected with your community when you’re not live. Stories let you share photos, clips, or freeform content using text, custom channel emotes, and backgrounds that expire in 48 hours. Creating stories is currently limited to Partners & Affiliates who have had at least one stream in the last 30 days. Streamers with at least 30 subscribers (including gift subs) will also have the option to create sub-only stories. Learn more about stories and current eligibility requirements in our Help Article: https://help.twitch.tv/s/article/stories. We'd love to learn what else you'd like to see so share with us your feedback.

This is the dumbest ******* thing I've ever seen, nobody asked for this ****. This garbage takes over the sidebar where followed channels are, this is the dumbest decision I've ever witnessed, either just remove this feature completely or LET US ******* HIDE IT. This is embarrassing, even for twitch standards.

While I appreciate the effort to let streamers share more content, the 'STORIES' tab is invasive. Either let us disable it from showing up entirely, or let us decide where it's placement should be on the lefthand side bar (along with the 'following' and 'recommended' tabs).
Additionally, allow the 'open stories' link to be right clicked to be opened in a new tab for those who want to use it - forcing it to open in the same page only harms the streamer I am currently watching. This is unfair to them and their watchers.

The stories tab took over my sidebar. Now it only shows the Stories tab at the top and nothing else.

the fact this is forced upon us without an option to disable it is disgusting. It's 2024 and twitch is owned by one of the biggest companies in the world, user experience should be prioritized much higher.

As a viewer who follows a number of streams that now have stories enabled, can an enhancement be added where after a story is reviewed by a user to have the on screen notification of the same be suppressed?
Also a way to open stories in a new tab?At present (as I don't spend much time on the front page) I see story notifications in the upper left above followed streamers, and to view I need to leave the channel I am in watch, and then it returns me to the stream I was in. It feels a bit off to do it that way, and to not have that notification area ever clear out has me always thinking that there are new stories to view as well.

We should be able to dismiss or 'mark all as seen' on Desktop.

Wasting everyone's time by taking up screen real estate with Stories that can't be hidden. DUMBEST waste of time I've seen in awhile.
For those that want to hide this garbage. IF you have Ublock Origin, just make a custom block for it with the eyedrop Element Picker, so you can block this garbage off our screens.
Literally, trying to drive your own audiences off your platform.
I ended up unfollowing any streamer that posted a story till I figured a way to hide/block their damned stories.

You have NOT listened to those of us that want a way to remove stories and now they are also accessible on PC. This is not acceptable. We have been unfollowing and leaving streamers that have been using stories since last year when you introduced it at twitch con and now you have changed the UI so that it moves your followed and subbed list below the stories to indicate that this is where you want the future of Twitch to go, and be like TikTok and IG. If THIS was the reason for the dollar increase to subs, then good luck you will lose a lot of people.

Give us at least the option to hide this absolute trash-feature (in the app and on browser).

The new change to the follow page in the desktop browser ui takes up to much space and slows down the user getting to the streamers they are here for. There is also no explanation of what the profile pictures are for. I thought it meant certain streamers were online until I dug deeper into the twitch blog, which most users will not bother with.
Sadly, whoever pushed this ui change does not understand that a user interface should be self explanatory and should not get in the way of the user's intended use of the website.
