Improve layout for 21:9 external monitor on iOS I have a 3440x1440 monitor. When I open chat, it becomes an overlay on the right side over a portion of the video instead of moving the video over. When I click into the chatbox, it resizes to take over half the screen. When I open emote/channel point menu, about the bottom 40% of the screen gets covered by it.

Maybe add a ‘stream’ section in twitch mobile settings so I can actually edit my log past streams??? There is no ‘stream’ section in my settings, and I therefore cannot change that I want my streams to save after I stream. Please fix this.

Live Mode After a livestream has been paused, create an option to go back to Live mode. Otherwise users are stuck in the past and are therefore limited to how much they can interact with the streamer.

Like the new update wish their was a way you can turn off the chat overlay than just move it from too middle and bottom Certain things are nice about the new chat overlay but watching other content on twitch it’s get in the way so just have to option to be turn off I. The setting for people to switch back and forth on

Fix iOS app from crashing/freezing Twitch iOS app (14.6) still has previous bug(s) that cause app to completely freeze with no response after stream crashes while exiting PIP mode; thus, needing app to always be rebooted.
To encounter bug:
Do quick search (Lookup) of highlighted word in chat window and select an option from list to open link to Safari.
Twitch App will open PIP window to continue viewing stream with Safari window open.
Stream being viewed in PIP window will instantly crash and completely freeze app; once you expand PIP window to return stream back to normal in Twitch app.

Revert chat overlay back The new chat overlay is so awful. It needs to be reverted back. You only can see one message at a time, it just looks worse. I hate how with the new one it destroys the way double tap to bring up chat works. Instead of just doing it once to bring up chat in the way you could choice chat overlay of column chat now you have to rotate through them individually which just makes it so janky.

Direct message It would be nice to be able to directly message people who gift subs to thank them. As of now there’s no way other than trying to find them if they comment on the stream or try to search for their profile.
One way to accomplish this, would be to be able to click on notification for the gift sub to take the user to the profile of the gifter, or have a prompt to whisper the subscription gifter when clicking on the notification.
Admin audit: added clarification to description, based on user's response to status update.

App freezes even with PiP despite internet speed Issue:
Twitch app freezes watching a broadcast in app and in PiP.
The freezing has been determined by others on Reddit to not be the effect of internet-connection.
The bug has been known to Twitch devs for months with no fix deployed in the latest update(s).Expected Result:
No hard-stuck pauses when watching a broadcast
Result:
Stream is hard-stuck and continue to press play button for resuming the stream.

Viewing experience can be better while watching I wish the chat log didn’t cover the live stream on mobile (iPhone, iPad). I wish the live stream would shrink some to the left of the chat log to a smaller size so I can view chat log AND live stream simultaneously.

iPhone 14 Pro Max - Making chat resizeable, adding opacity options. When you open up the chat on this phone the chat ends up taking more than half the screen, making the viewer experience rather unenjoyable. This is in contrast to my iPhone 11 pro max where the chat takes up around a quarter of the screen and the actual chat box has a slight opacity. Chat is so essential to the twitch experience and I wish we had these options

Twitch app, mobile - Filter by Language While using the iOS App, I always have to type in the language tag manually letter by letter to search for a stream in my language.
When I go back to another category, I have to type in the language again.I wish that it will be changed to how it is in the webversion
- that I set a language ones and all streams in that language are shown until I remove the tag + languages should be searchable tags in the App.

Second screen experience Full screen chat and second screen experience.
I would like to have a chat only option even when video is live.
I would like to watch on my Apple TV or laptop but chat with my phone without having to have the video taking up space.
Would also be able to watch ads or run twitch extension with the phone while video is play on the tv. A true second screen experience.

Media controls and channel info overlay blocks content when paused When you pause on mobile, the channel info at the bottom and the media controls blocks the streamer’s content on the screen, and you can not read things. The controls will not go away if you tap on the video, they are stuck until you resume play, and by then the text you are trying to read may be gone. Tapping should hide the controls and channel info while paused. Youtube and other platforms allow this.

Enable a better experience for the streamer through alternative chat. More viewers want to contribute and click things to reduce chat work. Alternative chat in ways like a drop on the stream, using the chat to reduce stream work and instead push a button to virtually simulate the chat. Usually hello and emojies are quite reaped this be a nice way to show consistency in a better way. Drop down menu for different greetings, alternative "flirt" "celebration" etc. And your message shown in a streamers stream as the streamer prefers. It's more convenient to watch it fullscreen.

Fix iOS app for old devices The new twitch app update left old devices like iphone 6 without being able to watch twitch unless is through a browser app which is not the best experience.
If you download the app it says update your iOS, and I did but only reaches the 12.5.4 version. So unless I login through a browser app Im left with a useless app, which doesnt make sense to have it on the apple store even.2 votes
