Fix iOS app from crashing/freezing
Twitch iOS app (14.6) still has previous bug(s) that cause app to completely freeze with no response after stream crashes while exiting PIP mode; thus, needing app to always be rebooted.
To encounter bug:
Do quick search (Lookup) of highlighted word in chat window and select an option from list to open link to Safari.
Twitch App will open PIP window to continue viewing stream with Safari window open.
Stream being viewed in PIP window will instantly crash and completely freeze app; once you expand PIP window to return stream back to normal in Twitch app.
Note: Bug does not occur, if you open Safari separately with Twitch app open and PIP window used to view stream in Safari.

I'm having the same issue. I can't even click to share my subscription message in chat, it's really frustrating. Has been happening for a few weeks now on ipad, updating the app and restarting ipad does nothing.
Clicking anywhere on screen causes the crash.

I've been having the same issue for the last couple of days:
iPad Pro (11" 3rd Gen) v.17.0.3, sharing mouse & Kb with my iMac.
- Click on chat text box, it enlarges as normal, but then the app and video freezes. Audio continues to play and will do so for a short time after closing the app.
Before this, I could happily have twitch playing while working on the iMac and drag my cursor over to comment.

I'm having this exact issue on my iPad pro. It literally freezes and I have to quit the app. Idk what to do

How is this still not fixed? or is it already fixed and I do not know the solution? The app freezes everytime I try to send message or click on smiley icon to send emotes. The audio works fine though.

Problem with iPad Pro, iOS 16.6.1, Twitch 16.7.2. Scrolling down in the list of the available followed-live streams (landscape or portrait) until additional streams are loaded causes the app to freeze. Fast scrolling can jump past the freeze point, but eventually content is loaded for other UI sections and the problem occurs. This only became an issue after the most recent update today (Oct 19, 2023). The issue does not duplicate on the iPhone.

Still an issue. The entire app freezes and is unresponsive, not just the video players. It eventually crashes but audio continues
