Chat overlay and time code improvement for Casting Add an option for a chat overlay when casting Twitch to devices. Additionally, please have the app defer to the device that is playing the content for time code on playback.
When casting to Chromecast, there’s a current issue where when your phone has been sitting for a bit, whenever you open the app again, it tries to synchronize the time code on the video to where your phone was prior. Add option to disable Lock Screen controls when casting It seems that the Lock Screen controls may cause significant battery drain when casting to a device. Can this be looked into or add an option to disable somehow?

Chat being see through/ opaque? In a new update I believe when in landscape mode, when you pull up the chat it USED to be solid and would move the stream to the side so I could still see the stream.. NOW the chat is see through and blocking half the stream. Just curious if we can maybe get a toggle in the settings to if we WANT the chat to be solid or see through? I'll live if not. It just blocks a lot of the content 😭😭

Fix the casting on mobile I’m on my phone and chromecasting to my tv. But for some reason the volume I have on my phone will lock to what I had when I started casting. So going to other apps while casting is very annoying because the volume is locked to what you want the tv to be on. YouTube has a smother casting experience and I would like twitch’s to be better

Broadcast replay time stamp issue When I try to resume a broadcast replay I’m watching, the Twitch app will consistently lose my place in the video and make me hunt around for it. This especially prevalent in longer broadcasts.

Bug Report While watching a previously viewed stream under “Continue Watching” when the advertisements finish. The VOD resets back to the beginning at 0:00. You manually need to reset it back to the last known watched time signature. Please take note of this. Thanks

True black mode New iphones have the option of partially switching off their screen lighting if there is a true black tone (#000000). There should be an option to enable a true black mode in the settings. This saves battery and brings better performance.

Playback quality I have 60 mbps download on my mobile data LTE and the highest quality the Twitch app will play is 460 p. IMO this is completely unacceptable for a Live Streaming service to. Your main purpose is to live stream acceptable quality streams to your consumers and you can’t even do that. Yet you’ll play 20 ads before I get to watch the extremely low quality stream. I guess if I follow the instructions from above about being Clear on what changes I’d make: MAKE LOVE STREAMS BETTER QUALITY. I hope that clear enough Twitch/Amazon/J.Bezos

Siri Voice Commands on iOS/iPhone/iPad Please add support for Siri voice commands, such as Rewind and Fast Forward, when watching videos on demand. For example, “Hey Siri, Rewind 30 seconds”, or “Hey Siri, Fast Forward two minutes.”
Currently that can only be done with on-screen buttons but the app doesn’t support those Siri commands. Siri responds with “Sorry I couldn’t go back” or “Sorry I couldn’t skip this”. A good example of how this SHOULD work is the native iOS Podcasts app.

Full screen Chat on Mobile Please remove empty screen and “play” button when in “Chat Only” mode so that only the Chat screen is displayed fullsceeen.

Chat button for iOS I’ve noticed when people stream off android they have a button to view chat. There is no such thing for people streaming on IOS. Suggesting we get the same feature on iOS, so we don’t need an additional device just to view our chat

Remove “Chat” text when watching streams On iOS 15 when watching streams vertically, remove the “Chat” text above the chat. It is pointless and taking up space that could be used to see more of chat, especially on my iPhone 12 mini’s smaller screen.
