  2. As the title suggests, I figured I may as well make this post to help Twitch measure interest in these endpoints being added.

I'm aware we're starting with a general availability launch, as noted in the forum post: ( https://discuss.dev.twitch.com/t/introducing-api-and-eventsub-support-for-custom-power-ups/64708 )

I also can understand the need for consideration first, and why features like this may need additional protections (to prevent malicious price change exploits, for one) before being made available, so this post is purely intended to help y'all measure community interest in having that full management level of control as is available through Custom Channel Point Rewards!

  3. Given the increasing number of tools that unlawfully extract images from the internet to train their AI, I believe it's only reasonable to protect the emotes of individual channels.

  4. sub_gift notifications via channel.chat.notification events don't contain a field for the cumulative number of months the gift recipient has subscribed to the channel. This is however exposed in IRC via the msg-param-months tag in the equivalent subgift USERNOTICE.

Please, consider adding this information to Eventsub too for consistency

  8. The follow notification flag is very helpful for loyalty bots to reward users for having notifications turned on. Notifications are a huge part of having users re-engage the broadcaster, and being able to reward that will bring more viewers to the stream. This was present in Kraken, but not in Helix.

  9. Brief description

    https://dev.twitch.tv/docs/authentication/getting-tokens-oauth

When you get a token, it returns token_type as bearer

If you take this value as is and call helix endpoints it doesn't work as helix only accepts Bearer

    How to reproduce

    Generate a token
Construct a header using the returned data by concatenating elements from the returned JSON
    `Authorization: ' . tokentype . ' ' . accesstoken

    Call a helix endpoint
    Get a 401
    Expected behavior

Twitch accepts Bearer and bearer as valid

    or

returns Bearer as the token type when fetching a token.

    Additional context or questions

I'm not sure what the correct…

  10. Consider a parameter option to display hosted channels if the embedded channel is not live. The parameter option is being suggested so that a broadcaster/developer can choose if they do or do not want hosted channels to display when the experience is embedded.

  11. Being able to order some of the Helix endpoints by date would be useful

Follower for example would need in some cases 11k+ calls to the follower endpoint to just get the 100 followers who had followed for the longest time.

This would also be good in the subscription endpoint if cumulative and streak get put into the Helix API

  12. Please add support for Comments on clips so that we KNOW when a clip is posted and/or able to take moderation actions how we see fit.

Knowing when a comment occurs on a clip would be useful to help determine what clips are doing well (outside of view count metrics)

  13. Provide an API including eventsub for start/stop for ia channel badge event is active on a channel.

Channel bots and overlays and then notify that it's active and running as needed

Broadly offering similar to charity offerings (topics/api)

  14. I propose introducing a new API endpoint that allows streamers to track the activity of each individual moderator. This endpoint would provide detailed statistics on actions such as the number of bans, timeouts, and deleted messages performed by a moderator over a specified period.

Currently, monitoring moderator activity is a time-consuming process. While it is possible to use custom bots to extract this data by scrolling through the existing moderation activity logs, the process is inefficient, as loading the logs becomes slower with larger datasets.

This new endpoint would significantly improve efficiency, allowing streamers to quickly analyze their moderators’ contributions…

  15. Currently, only apps authenticated while logged in as the channel broadcaster are able to subscribe to channel point events such as "channel.channelpointscustomrewardredemption.add". I am currently a moderator/editor for a friend's channel, and I am developing an application for their stream that is interacted with via Channel Point Reward Redemptions. Even as a moderator/editor, I am unable to authenicate the application in such a way that I can receive those events and test app functionality using them, even though I am able to see those events plainly in chat using Mod View. It would make sense for…

  16. This issue only happens in the Build version:

After calling Twitch.API.GetAuthState() the MaybeResult will permanently stay on Loading with no errors.

  17. Twitch Dashboard allows the broadcaster to configure a notification for an upcoming ad, up to 20 minutes in advance, and allow for a snooze.

If the broadcaster has enabled this feature, I'd like for Twitch to send a channel.ad_break.upcoming event over EventSub, so I can trigger actions off of that.

  18. Problem:
As livestream video embed is included on the website it will autoplay without the consent of a user to be counted as a viewer within a stream, various broadcasters abuse this logic by creating silent 1px embeds on third-party domains (wikis, product pages & similar). Not only that unnaturally inflates the viewcount numbers of the streamers in question but as well it hurts statistics and the community of the categories in which said broadcasters streams, in addiction this incredibly hurts users with limited network bandwidth while they try to use said websites where embed is included cause they do…

  19. There is already WebRTC support, but it is not yet public. (see https://99.181.116.152:4443/health and https://99.181.116.152:4443/offer ) But I would really like it to be public so I can integrate streaming directly into my web application. The API for the current implementation, named "webgest", a module of "intelligest", is not publicly documented, only mentioned once here: https://blog.twitch.tv/en/2022/04/26/ingesting-live-video-streams-at-global-scale/ ; and the other two URLs I linked earlier do not work with my stream key (probably only works with a different set of stream keys used for development?) But in any case, I am now forced to use alternative third-party streaming platforms which…
