  1. IRC has a number of "upgrade" events

giftpaidupgrade / anongiftpaidupgrade and one related to "prime to real" that I don't have the tag/msg-id for

A "subscriber upgrades" topic would be useful, if this doesn't fall under "sub notifications" - https://twitch.uservoice.com/forums/310213-developers/suggestions/42008104-please-provide-an-event-sub-that-emits-sub-notifi

I could see a benifit to having this as a seperate topic, or tied into the "notifications" topic

  2. would love a follow button that works like Twitter Follow/Tweet button. To avoid the need to oAuth-loop it and users would prefer that rather than granting access to their account for developers to throw a follow at any channel.

  3. Community Challenges (not to be confused with the current Goals for subscribers, followers, etc) could be created under channel points that viewers could contribute channel points towards to complete.

In the PubSub era, events related to these came across the community-points-channel-v1 topic. With the shutdown of PubSub, they were never brought across to EventSub and any access to them was lost.

Proposing these are brought back as EventSub events, as they were used a fair amount when they were available. In addition to events, adding API methods to add, stop, and any other relevant methods

  4. Twitch Extensions currently appear to block modern WebAssembly-based client runtimes, including Rive, because the Extension CSP script-src does not include either 'wasm-unsafe-eval' or 'unsafe-eval'.

Rive’s web runtime is a JavaScript/WASM runtime. Even when the developer self-hosts the rive.wasm file inside the Extension bundle, the browser still has to compile and instantiate WebAssembly at runtime. Under current CSP behavior, that compile/instantiate step is blocked unless script-src includes 'wasm-unsafe-eval' or the broader and less desirable 'unsafe-eval'.

This is not primarily a third-party CDN issue. Rive supports self-hosting its WASM file through RuntimeLoader.setWasmUrl(...), so developers can avoid loading from unpkg or another external…

  5. We have bans/timeouts on the bans topic.

We don't have a feed for message deletions.
    Or whom triggered a raid
    Or whom triggered a host.

Some channels have a need to track/log all moderator actions for later reconcilliation, not just bans.

(Or tracking down a rogue mod doing hosts when they shouldn't for example)

  6. Hey. I know that people are requesting API for Channel Points. But I came up with better and easier idea.

When streamer creates new reward in dashboard, there should be option to "run a link" in background after reward is redeemed. This type of button will trigger bot with GET-request and bot will run specific action.

Why I think this approach is better than API:
    1. No API on Twitch side, obviosly.
    2. Bots won't be abble to control Channel Points directly.
    3. This will work with any bot who will support this kind of triggers.
    4. Easier to use…

  8. The API has no way to initiate an export, and there's no bulk export in the video producer ui, so you're stuck doing vods one at a time which is error-prone and annoying. Please add an export API!

    Thanks,
    Chris

  9. I was thinking, not all extensions need to be tried to a specific channel experience, and don't always interact with the broadcaster at all. Extensions like the chat translator, or maybe a TTS chat for viewers who can't read well, or visually impared, it would be great to have for users on every channel, not just channels where the broadcaster decides they want to use it. My idea is to have extensions that the view can enable on every channels, and possibly have the panel for viewer extensions be where the chat is, and possibly take up the bottom half…

  10. Please provide an eventsub topic(s) that

    • notify when a snooze is used
    • notify when the schedule is updated

Knowing when a snooze is used can stop two moderators using the same tool from both snoozing and burning 2 snoozes at the same time when only one was needed.

Or even all three snoozes if three mods snooze without checking that another mod snoozed.

Additionally knowing when the schedule updates (next ads changes when it's due or it's duration) can assist and/or instant notification when a snooze refills

  11. In the new badge-related endpoints, badge objects in returned sets contain only their IDs and URLs, which compared to the only existing alternative (undocumented badges.twitch.tv endpoint announced in twitchdev forums[1]) isn't enough for things like custom chat clients that are very popular among many Twitch users.
Ever since that undocumented endpoint came to existence, we've been using it in our chat client and would at least need "description" and "title" properties that are present in badges.twitch.tv to display information about badges properly and replicate webchat's behavior. I believe both APIs use the same internal data (at least for Global Badges)…

  13. Summary:
A cheer message can be multiple cheers in a single payload. Providing the individual cheer components in an int array would provide data that is not currently there. Emote placement, while also desired, would be still more work than should be necessary at first glance to determine the bits used.

    Example: **
BarryCarlyon PogChamp100 PogChamp100 Party100 Wow Soaryn is Frustrated!
    This would result in **"bits": 300;
however this is incomplete and would be desired to also have something like "bits_used": [100,100,100]

    Reasoning:
While again, emote placement would help, determining the bits used from it would be extra and redundant…

  14. The new mod view is great and all.

But it would be useful if extensions can add items to the Automod queue for moderators to moderate user submitted content (as per the new #7 guidelines for extension content moderation).

And said item have webhook/EBS powered accept/reject buttons or similar

  16. Current Situation:
As a streamer, I currently rely on manual monitoring or workarounds to determine when the next ad will play and when the last ad was run. This process lacks efficiency and makes automation for scene changes during ad breaks challenging.

    Proposed Solution:
I propose adding an Ad Notification PubSub topic within the Twitch API to provide streamers with the necessary information for seamless ad management. Here's what the improved solution would entail:

    Endpoint/Topic Details:

    PubSub Topic Name: AdNotificationTopic
    Event Type: AdNotificationEvent
Trigger: The AdNotificationEvent will be fired x seconds before the next ad starts playing.
    Additional Functionality:

    Next…

  17. This would allow things to happen if only a certain tag is set.
That of course would require channel.update to fire for tags being edited as well

Example: If a streamer wants to have an automated tweet sent out when they start a Giveaway, they could add the tag "Giveaway", which triggers channel.update and then the receiver can process and send a tweet on their behalf.

  18. The new endpoint only allows the broadcaster to run commercials: https://dev.twitch.tv/docs/api/reference#start-commercial

The old endpoint also allowed users with the editor role to run commercials: https://dev.twitch.tv/docs/v5/reference/channels#start-channel-commercial

I believe it is of value to allow access to editors as they used to. Editors should be trusted enough to choose their own tools to support the broadcaster, as has already been the case.

Plus, if an editor's token can be used the editor's name will appear in the Activity Log on the Dashboard, rather than the broadcaster's name (assuming some sort of webpanel or bot has to be used, that the broadcaster has…
