  1. Currently there is no way to SORT your Twitch Drop Campaigns in the Twitch Developers Drops page.

As I am making new campaigns it just randomly places them in the list. Before with the Legacy (and much better interface, it is missed) all campaigns would be in order of creation, and you could SORT them. Right now there is no sorting allowed.

Please add in a sorting feature!

  2. This is a copy paste from a previous user:

"Old Twitch v5 API has an endpoint called "Get Top Clips" (https://dev.twitch.tv/docs/v5/reference/clips#get-top-clips)

I think the new API should also include this endpoint because the current way of getting the top clips is not exactly the most user friendly one. Currently if you want to get top clips, you need to get all clips using the "Get Clips" endpoint and then sort them out manually on our side. This works if you know exactly what you want. For example if you want…

  3. My current use case: When given a username, find out if that user has a Twitch account and if so, find out if they are currently streaming.

Current solution: Use the 'Get Users' endpoint, if it finds a user, use the 'Get Streams' endpoint.

Request: Could we get a "isLive" boolean to indicate if a user is currently streaming?

  4. May we get a boolean flag for "Get Streams" and "Get Followed Streams" endpoints' responses that indicates the listed live streams can be raided or not?

Additionally an optional query filter for in the request that returns all streams, raidable and not raidable live channels depending on the passed parameter. By default it would return all live channels on the given endpoint.

The purpose of this that when calling the start raid endpoint we could already know the target channel can be raided before hand and not after initiated the raid with the "Start a raid" endpoint.

  5. Currently the limit of drops per campaign is quite small. We like to have different drops every day for a week for example. However instead we need to make 7 different campaigns. It also seems games which have a small amount of drops for a long period of time are at the top of the list as its from date ascending order of active campaigns. So putting more effort and having lots of unique drops for viewers basically gets punished.

  7. If you embed a Live twitch broadcast on another website, it includes the chat along with it, which is great! But if you embed a VOD on another site, the chat is absent. Why? I see no reason why you wouldn't at least have an option for it in there! Let embedded VODs have their chats!

  8. A mod can move people around the slots or add a user to a slot.

But a mod can't know how many slots there are, as the slot count is locked into the settings API

  9. Currently the Prediction endpoints (and EventSub data) only contains the top predictors for outcomes in a prediction. I propose a new endpoint, located at something like: helix/predictions/predictors that takes as input a broadcaster_id and outcome_id, and returns a paginated list of all users who have contributed to a given prediction outcome, along with the details of their prediction (essentially the "top predictors" array, but containing all predictors).

This could make predictions even more interactive- a streamer could, for example, draw two word clouds showing all predictors for each option "battling" each other.

  10. Please add the total amount of cheered bits and subs that occurred during the hype train to the channel.hype_train.end event. These numbers are already visible above chat and in the activity feed after the train finished.

It currently only contains top contributors, but not overall numbers from all contributors. The top contributors could be improved as well, as it only contains a total integer. When that total is 5000, it could be either 10 tier 1 subs, 2 tier 3 subs or a mix.

The overall total integer is even worse as it has bits mixed in there as well.

  12. Can we please have a way to update the user's profile picture via the Update User endpoint? This would be very helpful. I don't quite understand why it's only locked down to description only. Thanks!

  13. Since Windoze CMD handles single quote vs double quote characters differently, you will get an error if you don't swap the single for double in

    twitch token -u -s 'user:read:email user:edit'

  14. Right now, chat bots that post messages in chat from things such as commands. will post the reply in chat, which can become quite spammy. The only solution to this right now is to use whispers, but there is a hard limit on that and doesn't work half of the time anyways. I propose that we should be able to have bots send replies that are hidden to everyone but the person that ran the command.

  15. Off the back of

    https://twitch.uservoice.com/forums/310213-developers/suggestions/37563241-expose-vips-in-the-api

    Being an endpoint now.

There is no endpoint for "how many VIP slots does the channel have"

    as per the help doc

    https://help.twitch.tv/s/article/Managing-Roles-for-your-Channel?language=en_US

it scales based on the unique chatters/build a community achievement.

So extend the Get VIPs endpoint to report the possible maximum VIPS for the channel I'm getting VIPs of.

  16. Currently, an extension I've made can help show off a channel, including showing off their last played game. As this is one of the main reasons a person may be interested in following that streamer (based on the information that can be gathered by the API), the main way to improve upon that is to show more of these games.
It seems strange that there is a list of the user's last several played games freely available on their channel, but not to be retrieved via an API.

  20. Currently, the only API endpoint which can return the current status of the channel is /search/channels, which contains a "is_live" boolean attribute.

So when I want to know if a channel (knowing its ID) is live through the API, the only way is by calling /channels first to get the channel name, then by calling /search/channels with the channel name, and finally sort the results to find the correct channel.

This is excessively time and ressources consuming, for both developpers and Twitch servers (two API call instead of just one). Would be great to add a "is_live" field in /channels…
