i want change clip twitch category later after clipping Hello, there are unfortunately always VODs where no category is listed, when I create a clip there, the problem is that the clip does not appear in any category, that is very annoying for me as a streamer. That's why I ask you to vote for this idea, so that Twitch has a possibility to change the Twitch category after the clip is created.
For example, if a wrong category is set, there must be a possibility to change it later.

New Twitch API: Get Top Clips Endpoint Old Twitch v5 API has an endpoint called "Get Top Clips" (https://dev.twitch.tv/docs/v5/reference/clips#get-top-clips)
I think the new API should also include this endpoint because the current way of getting the top clips is not exactly the most user friendly one. Currently if you want to get top clips, you need to get all clips using the "Get Clips" endpoint and then sort them out manually on our side. This works if you know exactly what you want. For example if you want top clips for a game you can use the game parameter.
Unfortunately this isn't the most optimal…

Add total count to streams endpoint Now it is not possible to get the number of streams in a certain section without sending a large number of requests to the API.

Add the bits:read scope to bits enabled extensions I'm looking to add functionality to an extension where all bits count but bits within the extension have a weighting against those that aren't. I have my own bits transactions through the transactions endpoint but at the moment I have to ask for the scope separately. As my extension is already asking for the
channel:read:subscriptionsI thought it may be a good option to add this as an extra scope to ask for or possibly ask for within the same auth loop as the subscription read7 votes -
Trigger channel.bits.use on extension bits usage Currently the channel.bits.use event doesn't seem to grab extension bits use - for example, Tangia.
This is something that is already visible in the streamer (and moderator) activity feed, and it would be very useful to have on this eventsub trigger as well.

Extend blocked terms API to retun the "attempt" count You can now keep track of the number of times a Blocked Term has blocked a message in your channel. Only occurrences after 5/25/2024 will be counted.
Add this number to the API for get banned terms
Use case: terms may get collected over years but using the number we can track recent usage and "tidy" up the list if a term hasn't been attempted for a while

Add endpoint to allow triggering Celebrations Alerts and with it "Celebrations" were introduced.
https://blog.twitch.tv/de-de/2023/05/17/celebrate-your-community-your-way-with-twitch-s-new-alerts/Therefore I was wondering if those Celebrations (or Alerts) will be made triggerable by some official Endpoint.
Something like a scope to request being able to trigger them likechannel:manage:celebrations, and being able to trigger them with normal auth and descriptive body.
{
type:"rain",
area:"full",
intensity:1,
length:5
}
Just an example from my part.6 votes -
See unpublish vods If I call Get Videos with a user token with the scope "channel:manage:videos" I should be able to get that users unpublished vods.
I have a use case where I need to be able to delete an unpublished vod, but I can't see the unpublihsed vod to get the ID of it to then call delete

[BUG] API does not allow to remove custom tags According to the recently updated documentation (https://dev.twitch.tv/docs/api/reference/#modify-channel-information ):
To remove all tags from the channel, set tags to an empty array.However that does not work at all, as the API returns:
{"error":"Bad Request","status":400,"message":"The request must update at least one channel property field."}
When receiving the following payload:
{"tags": []}
If you send the following the title gets updated and the tags remain untouched:
{"title": "Test ing the API", "tags": []}

Open Source Twitch Documentation Twitch has one of the most intelligent and tech savvy user bases of any product I can think of. If Twitch were to make their documentation source code Open Source, members of the community that are tech savvy enough will do your job for you.
I just went through the documentation when trying to figure out how to make my first banner and my first Video Player Banner. I am unaware of what a "Video Player Banner" as someone that does not normally watch much Twitch but is attempting to start to learn more about it.
As someone that works…

API for Twitch Notifications Twitch supports two categories of notifications for users on their site: My Channel and My Twitch. My Channel provides updates related to broadcasts, such as subscriptions or donations. My Twitch provides updates mainly about game drops and other loot related activities.
I propose extending the My Twitch notifications so developers can send custom notifications to users directly on the Twitch platform. These notifications would act similar to drop notifications and would appear in the My Twitch feed. Users would have to agree to receiving notifications via oAuth when signing in or connecting their Twitch account to another application, similar to…

Extend the Channel Ban to include deleted messages Currently Channel Ban will report the moderation events of a time or ban, but it doesn't report/include information about deleted messages.
This would fit on this topic but could also have it's own topic.

Who I'm watching endpoint "Who I'm watching" endpoint
Add an Helix API endpoint to get "Who I'm watching" if the right scopes where provided
With this we could be able to import this data for other apps, like "Discord events to invite other users to watch the same stream"

Provide Channel Emotes bitstier Details The existing Channel Emotes API response includes a 'bitstier' value of 'emote_type' for Cheer-earned emotes, but does not include any data about the actual number of bits required to earn the emote. Either the 'tier' attribute or a new integer-value (recommended) containing the number of bits for each emote would be very helpful. Adding the same attribute to the Emote Sets API response would also be useful and uniform.

adding campaign_id on result for get-drops API-call add campaignid to the drops result on the get drops Entitlements API-call - so we don't need the EventSub call anymore (which only contains the campaignid for an entitlement)
with that, we have a good fallback-solution (if EventSub isn't fired) and we can re-use rewards from the manager.The next step, to allow using the same rewarduniqueid multiple times in the campaign would be to add a "task-identifier" to eventsub and also to this api get-call.

add a channel.unfollow subscription type For when a user unfollows a channel.
Will be useful when a streamer wants to provide some perks for followers but be able to revoke them when they unfollow. Currently you'll have to fetch the followers list periodically to find out if someone unfollows.6 votes
