2. Default Page on load-up

   Please make us able to select a default page for when the Twitch App loads up.

   As no doubt many others did, this app was oriignally used as an AddOn updated for World of Warcraft, now we're forced to view so much useless streams and games every time the app loads up, and on top of that we have to then move over to the mods tab, select WoW, then again select which version of the game we want to update for (PTR, Beta, Live, other servers etc - even if you disable updating for them!), and THEN update the AddOns.

   tl;dr: Let us select a default page/game for load up, specifically the WoW AddOn page for the live game in this case.

   Please make us able to select a default page for when the Twitch App loads up.

   Hi, I have a suggestion that will link together discord and twitch very well which I hope can be taken into consideration. There was a suggestion I read on the discord forums about allowing a user to see who people are watching on twitch

   The suggestion got 64 votes and it would be nice if it were to be implemented. However the problem is that an admin replied to a similar suggestion stating that twitch has not provided an API for this and so it could not be possible unless twitch provides an API for it. I think it would work well alongside the twitch app and will also add a new feature. I’m sure this will be beneficial for a lot of twitch and discord users and hope to see it implemented.

4. Add a feature similar to Mixer's "HypeZone" Channel

   The HypeZone Channels are the must-watch Mixer channels featuring the most exciting, down-to-the-wire action. HypeZone scans select games (see below) in search for key moments. This gives viewers the opportunity to discover streamers of all levels during the most intense moments of the game.

6. Feature Request: Option to "Auto-Play" Favorited Channels When They Go Live （機能要望：お気に入りチャンネルがライブ配信を開始した際、自動再生するオプション）

   I would like to request a new feature that automatically opens and plays a favorited channel's live stream as soon as they go live, without relying on standard push notifications.
   （通常のプッシュ通知に頼らず、お気に入りのチャンネルが配信を開始した瞬間に、自動的にその配信を開いて再生する新機能を要望します。）
   Currently, it's easy to miss the beginning of a stream even with notifications enabled. If there was a setting to "Auto-Join / Auto-Play" specific channels, users would never miss their favorite streamers' live content, especially if they already have Twitch open on a browser or app.

7. This Forum needs to be easier to discover

   This forum is a great tool and platform to gather ideas and feedback. The biggest issue is that its seems like no one even knows it exists. The only reason I found out about it is through a redirect link from Twitch Support. There no way to discover this forum through the main Twitch site, and if there is a way, its hidden enough where people are not going to find it easily.

   I looked through several ideas from most of the forums on here. I don't think I've seen a single recent post with more than 5 votes. A link to this forums needs to be added to the navigation bar on the site right next to "Following" and "Browse". At this moment, its seem like it would be easier to just make a post on Reddit or X and it would have more reach than this forum.

   Also want to note that there are so many bot comments and bot posts that I'm not even sure Twitch is even supporting these forums anymore.

8. A top priority hierarchy

   I don't know this has been mentioned, but let's say you have more than one.channel. Wouldn't it be nice that there was one at top of the pecking order ti control all others. Say you sub in one channel, then wouldn't it be nice to view all all other channel owed by that person/company instead subbing for each channel individually.

   A ZoneFriends-Inspired Social Client for Twitch — feature idea

   TwitchZone would be a standalone desktop client that brings the soul of the old MSN Gaming Zone's ZoneFriends client to the Twitch era. Instead of tracking which lobby your friend is playing in, it tracks which channel they're watching, when a streamer they love goes live, and gives you a single click to jump in alongside them exactly the way the Zone let you follow a friend into a room in 1999.

   Twitch already has a follow system, but it's flat and passive. You see that someone is watching, not what the experience is like right now, and there's no gravitational pull to bring you in. TwitchZone would fix that.

   The main screen of TwitchZone shows your friends list in real time, organized not by alphabetical order but by activity clusters. 10. blocking tags or putting them in a "Do not show" list for the safety of children and promotion of community on the site.

    i would like a feature to block certain tags, it would help keep children safe and not accessing adult content not meant for kids and it would also keep twitch highly customized to the user! The feature would make it so the account would not see any channels with the tags that are on the "do not see" or "block list". It could be any tag from a certain game people have no interest in to certain aspects of a stream that people also have no interest in! It would help the people find what they are looking for when raiding other channels and not end up in an awkward position of sending your community off int0 a space you never meant for them to be in! It would promote growth of communities and help people find their space on the site without having to dredge through the swamp to find em! At the end of the day its entertainment and children are on this site and all you have to do to put a half naked girl in front of them is have certain tags and its not promoting a healthy environment for people to be in and should be made easier to customize what you do and do not see on the site. It shouldnt be a hard feature to add aswell and will promote Twitch further! also please ban all the OF girls promoting **** on your website like your ToS says it does but clearly does not! 11. Age Restriction Toggle (18-21+) and User Must Login to watch stream toggle

    I have had enough of this, and i know for a fact some people have had enough with dealing with kids that ignore your rules, to down right freaking stalking you in game and making you feel uncomfortable, that's what i experienced and it's where i draw the line.

    -Age Restriction Toggle: with both the 18+ and 21+ toggles, it will prevent the person under that age of 21 or 18 to NOT watch your stream, it works just like the ban thing to prevent them from watching, but if they are under 18 or under 21 this will put them at a stop. the reason why i put 21 also is because some streamers have 21+ in their title, if we had two of those toggles, it would kick those kids out of adults stream. the good benefit out of this is now streamers can talk normally, or in a lewd way without a kid being in that chat when we know darn well we said that you can't be in here. it would also be a big help to block them from looking at social media too on our about me tab now that i think about it, cause we know some of our twitter post can be spicy, a little too spicy and its not for kids, some are private while some are public. its just an idea though

    -User Must Login to watch Toggle: Yes i know that sounds messed up, and we LOVE watching streams while signed out, even i do on my phone during break time, but HEAR ME OUT! With this toggle ON we could stop people from, stream sniping or stalking us IN GAME, because even though we have phone and email verification which is a good thing these guys can still watch us if they are logged out.And YES i mean we could use subs only mode but this feature too could also be a big help in some ways.

    now i will explain why i am kind of uptight about this and i guess rant on about it as well, but here i go.

    The reason why i am so uptight about this, is cause we all know KIDS DON'T LISTEN, i mean we all were kids and this pattern is pretty much the same but different. Now i see a lot of people that have 18+ in their titles and tags, even i do, some have 21+ and while they do have that, you already know whats gonna happen.

    i had already banned a kid for being under the age of 18, then that same kid decided to watch me while signed out, and a few months later when i started to play an mmo i haven't played in ages (nor have i streamed it before on twitch this was my first time streaming it), the next few hours i see this same guy who i already banned, in the game spamming my name in chat,and creeping people out, it ****** me off, and yes he was reported but still is not banned.

    I mean we need to do something Twitch, cause this is getting out of control.

    Some of the kids that are way underage that do pop up, will plain:

    -ignore the rules/button on screen/chat rules

    -ignore the streamer when they explain its an 18+ stream, and that they cant be there if they are under that age, and they still watch the streamer.

    -make the streamer uncomfortable after being caught and banned(like stalking you in game, bothering you with an alt account)

    -Cross boundaries by pretending to be 18+ and engage with the streamer in chat (eventually the streamer catches on, i caught a few and banned them)

    And these kids do not care, they know its 18+ and will ignore that right out the window! and you know that button that gives them a warning before entering the stream that its mature and not suited for kids? yeah they ignore it.

    And YES i know we can use the Sub only mode but we all know they can just use their parents card to sub, i don't want to force people to pay like that, plus i doubt that would solve it.

    Think about it though, we could have the 18+ AND 21+ TOGGLE to finally stop this nonsense, and IF some streamers don't like that option it can remain unchecked and kids can watch their channel instead, cause i am NOT baby sitting them, and i mean Twitch is doing the age verification right? why not put a bonus feature on our settings for us all on twitch to stop these sneaky kids from watching our stream, it'll also put a relief on a lot of 18+, 21 plus streamers, lewd vtubers etc etc.

12. Add "genre" as a parent category

    Double-dipping here, sorry. Dunno if this would fit into feature request or Categories, so I'm posting on both.

    Probably the biggest issue with discovery on Twitch is that, aside from prioritizing bigger streamers, it also prioritize bigger and newer games.

    A good solution for this would be to add the option of having a parent category alongside the game as a category itself, so that streamers of niche games would still be discoverable.

    Also, whenever a new big game launched, the entire parent category would benefit from it, instead of only the streamers playing said big game.

    For example, a parent "souls-like" category would show anyone playing Bloodborne, that has a very small tribe of creators playing it, along with Elden Ring, Sekiro, Dark Souls 1, Dark Souls 2 etc.

    Adding parent categories would also immediately expand the arsenal of streamers with niche followers, since that they wouldn't suffer much to change games within the same parent category.

    I've applied for the Twitch Moderator's club as well. Give me a call.

13. Add a follow logo beside users you follow and other

    When searching for new channels i get mixed up between channels i followed and channels i dont, i think it would be good to add a followed symbol beside creators you follow, beside in ps5 in live channels we think you will like list the app repeats channels i already followed on the list which again mix things up when i want to discover new channels, discovering is so important its what is going to build my network of channels to stream, i think it needs more effort, and i think you should add a category for scheduled to view all channels scheduled in this day and next day, better than using social media to know if your favorite creator is going to be online today, and you may add in scheduled category announcements by creators in words and in ps5 i cant filter users by language would you mind adding that, in discovering features you may add other lists to search by like the highest viewed now, random, the highest followed streaming channel, random story based games and other online, its good that you have categories by genre and filter by language is of ultimate importance, can you add by country and region to see others culture and content i would like to see the far east and americans, beside it would be good if you added more information data about the stream before you click it like whats the time passed and if possible what the time intended to end the stream on, and if you want to go big in discover add shorts or tiktok like swipe to swipe short trailers of channels created by creators and an easy accessed follow if you liked the trailer and data about the channels and a bio, and i am sorry for the long post.

14. Super category and Subcategory

    I have been playing some retro games lately. There's always the analysis that I run through to stream in the Retro category or the game that I'm actually playing. Playing in Retro may get more attention, but viewers looking specifically for 'Legend of Legaia' won't find my stream.

    What if I could stream in both categories at the same time?

    There could be an optional setting for a super-category. There could also be some logic to automatically assign some games to a super category.

    For example. If someone wanted to stream Mega Man 6, it would automatically assign the 'Mega Man Series' super-category.

    Any Final Fantasy stream could also end up in the Final Fantasy Series category.

    It would also assist users looking for their interests. Personally, I'd love the option to type 'Resident Evil Series' and see everyone streaming any Resident Evil game.

15. make it easier for smaller communities with 100 followers or more to be recognised

    make it so that streamers that have 100 followers or more and stream actively to be able to be featured either in the stream awards or in twitch recaps at the end of the year and make it easy to find them on the category page

17. チャンネルをランダムで回ってコメントも打てるようにしてほしい

    今アプリであるランダムで色んなチャンネルに周る機能はいいかと思いますですが
    一回チャンネルに行かないとコメントが出来ないのは不便です。
    その機能は皆で船に乗っている感じで海の中を漂いながらいろんな配信者に出会う感じです。そこでコメントも打てたり出来るといいと思います
    滞在時間は1分くらいがいいと思います
    そうすると新しい配信者が見つけられるんじゃないかと思います

18. Create a system for short-form media using clips

    TL;DR The implementation of a short-form media section would widely increase discoverability for streamers while also creating more content for viewers.

    There are some similar posts to this idea, but I am making this one specifically about the new clip leaderboard. I believe that this is a great opportunity to step into short-form content- should this not already be in the works.

    At present, the clip feature is a bit lacking, to the point I'm not sure where to find clips on the web browser version. However, there is a lot of potential for this, considering the extreme popularity in short form content. One thing, that can be done, for instance, is using the clip leaderboard as an incentivizer. Instead of awarding a badge, the users who make the top clips for a channel could have that month free from ads, which shouldn't be considerably detrimental to income. This would rapidly increase the amount of clips being made that could be discovered through the new short-form viewer.

    Benefits:
    Increases discoverability of channels-
    Twitch is the place where people go to watch streamers, so it would make sense to target on that niche and allow for more enjoyment (potentially adding adverts every certain number of scrolls) while also allowing for creators to be found much easier, rather than them having to go through other platforms. Although this adds external users into Twitch, it likely would not be a substantial decrease as clips would still be posted on YouTube and the sorts, and the clips posted would be of higher quality as the streamers are more likely to choose the highly engaged with clips.
    The data is already accessible-
    It is not new information that apps collect your data, and seeing as Twitch has categories under streamers, that can easily be used to focus algorithm interests (e.g., vtuber, irl, game categories), it would be a strong head start into the industry. This would be especially so as modern Artificial Intelligence models (LLMs) have a strong ability to recognize patterns, making discoverability very easy.
    More profit so more paying streamers-
    With making more money through short-form content, streamers can be paid a percentage more depending on the increase, leading to more streamers entering the industry and more viewers who were previously concerned about the ethical standings.
    More overall engagement-
    Although this one is more obvious, it is a fact that with short-form content, there is more general engagement and users will be more inclined to stay within the app- and if a feature to see whether the channel that made the clip is live exists, it can allow for even further engagement.

    Overall, with clever (and ideally ethical), design involving the streamer's voices and user's inputs, it could absolutely become a very viable monetary source. On the flip side though, there are naturally some issues.

    Negatives:
    Large investment-
    Making an algorithm and interface on that scale is naturally a steep endeavor, however, with Amazon's (the parent company of Twitch) previous usage of Inspire, a short-form content method, a discussion may lead to a much easier time. Additionally, there may need to be new staffing (things like moderation) and a large amount of project management, and I cannot say the logistics on that, but there does exist a high possibility of a moderate increase in profit, even if implemented on the ****** side.
    Content may be chaotic-
    If there is a steep increase in users making clips, it may cause low quality clips to exist and many repetitive clips, however this is resolvable through:
    Users signing up to be a 'content creator'
    Streamer assigning certain users (I saw this in another suggestion)
    Not suggesting poor quality clips or adding a user interface to suggest or reject clips
    Moderation
    Those are naturally only a few suggestions based on my thoughts which can be changed very easily.

    Overall, the implementation would allow more discoverability for streamers while also allowing more content for the users to enjoy and give them the ability to find new streamers.

19. Nueva función de “Me Gusta” para dar más visibilidad a streamers pequeños

    Me gustaría proponer una nueva función en Twitch que permita a los espectadores dar “Me Gusta” durante un stream en directo.
    La idea es que estos “Me Gusta” se acumulen y, dependiendo del número recibido, el canal pueda ganar visibilidad dentro de las recomendaciones.

    El objetivo es ofrecer a los streamers más pequeños una oportunidad real de ser descubiertos, sin depender únicamente del número de espectadores. Así, la comunidad tendría un rol más activo apoyando el crecimiento de creadores emergentes.

    Esta función sería beneficiosa porque:

    Incentiva la participación de la audiencia.

    Genera más interactividad durante el directo.

    Da a los streamers pequeños una vía justa para crecer y ser recomendados.

    Creo que este sistema podría equilibrar mejor la visibilidad en Twitch y motivar a más creadores a seguir transmitiendo.

20. Add a short-form scrolling video featureon twitch

    Hello Twitch team,

    I would like to suggest a new feature that could greatly improve the user experience and give creators more visibility: allowing users to upload short videos that viewers can scroll through vertically, similar to TikTok, YouTube Shorts, or Instagram Reels.
    This would bring several benefits:

    Provide a new way to quickly discover streamers and creators.

    Let users enjoy content even when streams are not live.

    Attract a younger audience who are used to fast, interactive content.

    Increase the visibility of existing clips and VOD content on Twitch.

    I believe this feature would make the platform even more dynamic and give creators more opportunities to grow and monetize their content.
