Creators On Twitch should be Able to Opt-Out of ICE Recruitment Ads.

Many of our communities are comprised of people actively being harmed by ICE Policies and Actions Under Trump. There are already creators saying they'll leave Twitch, or use Ad-Blockers More which will harm the platform as a whole (both in revenue and viewership).

This principle should also apply to Military, or any Government Recruitment; saying this as a Military Veteran myself, with members of my community also being veterans.

I Feel We should be allowed to deny Advertisements for ICE, who are committing violent extra-judicial and unconstitutional actions against US Citizens and Legal Immigrants in America.

We should have the right to refuse government recruitment advertisements on our content, as an citizens with a right to free speech, and to protest actions taken by government bodies.

Hi @Reneta_Scian. We appreciate you raising this concern. Claims that ICE runs ads on Twitch are untrue, and no one has approached us to run ads. There are no plans for any advertising campaigns for ICE.

    Take this off the platform. We've seen what ICE does. We've been affected by ICE. Promoting a fascist domestic terrorist organization deployed at whim is vile. Disrespectfully, grow a spine.

    Creators should be able to opt out of any targeted ads that go against their values! ICE is a terrorist organization violating the rights of citizens and non citizens in the US, kidnapping people every day. This is promotion of fascism, which has no place on Twitch or ANYWHERE for that matter. Do better - it's unreal that we even have to create a user voice for this.

    Why is twitch allowing these ads to be played?
    No one wants to see these ads and I feel bad for streamers who may have to deal with the situation that they cannot control what ad gets played.
    Let streamers refuse the ads that get pushed out, no one wants to see ads that make them uncomfortable and they DEFINITELY DON'T want to see ICE advertisement.

    Keep ICE off my channel. Hateful Conduct and Harassment are expressly against Twitch ToS so why the **** would we let their ads run?

    During the election season twitch kept shoving trump rally streams in the recommends no matter how much I reported them for hate speech.

    They LIKE this fascist regime even when the rallies and terror squad ads are in violation of their anti-hate community guidelines.

    Ad blockers are an essential first step for Internet security. Never ever browse without one. End of the day, twitch doesn't care what's on the ads they feed you.

    If both your own TOS and a basic sense of decorum wouldn't allow this on your service, you shouldn't allow ads to be run for it, either. ICE is an armed wing of a fascist government and advertising for them makes Twitch complicit.

    It's unfathomable that Twitch, a company that postures to uplift creators of all walks of life, would force those creators to show (possibly unknowingly) ads that jeopardize their ways of life. Fascism has no place on Twitch.

    Creators should be able to opt out of ANY ads that do not align with their values or the content of their streams.

    Asking the individuals who provide the entire backbone of your product to swallow a poison pill so the PLATFORM itself can turn a profit is vile behavior.

    Because where are you without the streamers and their audiences?

    I didn't like Trump ads being forced down my throat, I certainly don't like the idea of my own streams showing ICE ones.

    ICE should not be allowed to put ads on any platform they are a clearly racist profiling hate group that violates the TOS standards.
