Mark a recommended streamer on the side bar as not interested
Please please let us mark someone recommended in the sidebar under the recommended section as not interested straight from the sidebar. It is so annoying to have a recommendation there that you want to get rid of that you can't. You're supposed to be able to find them on the main page and be able to mark not interested that way but today I could not find them there so now I'm stuck with the streamer in the sidebar. Super frustrating.

I am frequently suggested channels that I am not interested in, but I would like to be suggested new channels to check out. Channels that I've watched a lot but I'm no longer interested in are constantly suggested as well as channels I would never watch.
Make it possible to remove suggested channels so they're not suggested again.

And + in other laguages. This blocks the good suggestions. I realy cant understand why there are no options to say not interesed.
(The Start page are complete waste for me, i never go there but here they show options. super crazy.)

On Twitch home page (both PC and mobile app), I want to be able to click "not interested" on certain channel(s) from the Recommended Channels section, just like how we can do so on YouTube and Facebook.

First off, a bit of context. Last month it came out that a relatively popular VTuber (Lumetric, who was a part of VTuber Takeover 2022) has harassed users while an admin of a Twitch team and the lead of another (not to mention his interest in some... very inappropriate art).
I told the front page not to recommend him, but I still see his channel with his smirking PFP on the sidebar's recommended channels. I don't want to have to see channels I'm trying to ignore on my sidebar!

This would also allow us to block scam channels that pose as bigger streamers, etc. Like there used to be a CSGO Shroud scam channel that stole your Steam Login, etc. It would be nice to block that channel so it NEVER pops up on my feed again. (and similar stuff).
Same with all these half-nekkid streamers that pop up everywhere that I don't want to see. Would be nice to be able to block entire categories as well tbh. Like Hottub category or "I never want to see X game".

Can't remove channels from recommendations.
The help page says "use the 3 dots menu right of the channel" then "not interested". Except the 3 dots menu does not exist in the recommendation bar on the left.

Absolutely seconding this.
My sidebar has a number of streamers and also content of which I have zero interest in watching. I have no idea how the algorithm even made the match, they are so obscure and opposite to my normal routine.
Not only is it clutter, that makes me completely ignore the feature because it annoys me so much with it's irelevence (and possible disingenuity) it also makes me feel like creators who I am almost certainly interested in are missing out on space.
I almost exclusively watch (and moderator for) creators from two different stream teams. I rarely if ever see creators from that team show up here whom I am not already following; and there are many.

It is possible to remove a specific recommendation on the front-page grid by clicking the three dots and hiding the specific recommendation. I would like the same option to be available on the side-bar recommendation list.
The issue is, the two recommendation lists seems to get data from different sources. I have one recommendation in the side-bar which is not shown on the front page grid, which means I can't even remove it with the work-around of going to the grid and hiding it.

Please stop recommending these videos, some of us are dealing with major addictions in these areas and seeing that recommendation causes a relapse. Twitch has been a place to get away from the darker side of the internet and now its just turning into a den of gambling and ****. If I wanted to watch scantily clad girls do tricks for money, we could go to Chaturbate.

I can't be the only one, there are some streamers who i cant even look at. it will ruin my day they might have done something you dont agree with or might just be someone who u dislike but why cant we block them as in dont show me anything of this person or that they do. its hard for watchers to completely block out big streamers because they will get recommended somehow. they used to have a way when pressing the 3 buttons next to a recommended channel but that somehow got removed? but theres still a recommendations space in the settings for it. if something like this could be added that would be nice or just what we had before so i can block them from being recommended.

so this doesn't solve anything ---> https://help.twitch.tv/s/article/Removing-recommendations-you-are-not-interested-in?language=en_US
that only works for one specific page on the website. what we need is for these topics and channels to NOT be in the side bar "recommended channels"
i am sick of Twitch recommending live streams from the Hot Tub section. Also Gambling, and ASMR.
Please just stop recommending all 3 of these sections, entirely... they are a ********** on this (gaming) website..

the option to tag an individual channel as uninteresting is missing on my Desktop version of Twitch (via Firefox browser), it works perfectly fine on my mobile app (android). It would be great if you update the UI of the Desktop Browser Twitch version with this feature.
category Bug might also be appropriate here.

Right now I have to report them, to block them. So I have to just report and post in the comments "Not really a violation, but I want to block them from my feed".
That's dumb. It's a waste of my time, to do something that should require one click. And it's a waste of Twitch's time going through reports that are not necessary, because I am only reporting, so I can block them. So this is stupid. Let's change it. -

Can we get a block streamer option or remove from suggested? There are some streamers who are absolute trash and an option to block them is needed.
This will allow the viewer to tailor their viewing options. Kinda like how music is done on pandora. Just because they play a game you like doesn't mean you want to view them. -

there are browser extensions for that. for firefox and chrome

It's a good idea. But, I'm wondering if that would then create an expectation that channel owners then expect Twitch to track this data, and therefore ultimately provide that data. There might also be reason for Twitch to never provide this kind of data, and that would then disappoint channel owners.

Yes i want to be able to block channels too... i have a lot of channels where i had a bad experience but i have a bad memory so i don't want to support them because i forgot what they did... I got no clue why this is not an option yet... the streamers can ban us so why can't we ban them?

I completely agree. Either Twitch makes it so I can opt out of seeing my "Recommended Channels" full of Thots and morons who are irrelevant to the streams I actually watch, or I'll simply leave the platform.
If I log on and see that stupid waste of oxygen Amouranth or that loser Ninja in there again I'll probably delete my account. Try making money off of that Twitch...

Why the hell are we not allowed to block channels that we dont want to see? I have streamers that are annoying and i could give two SH@ts about and yet they are constantly spamming my recommended channels side bar. We NEED an option to block any channel we want that we dont want to see. This should have been a feature to begin with, its kinda pathetic that they don't have something like this implemented already.
