I agree with this suggestion! I do try to change the game titles myself but i think in addition if it doesnt have a category by title this is the next best thing.

I strongly support this idea. Indie games — especially indie horror — often struggle with discoverability because viewers usually search by popular titles. A dedicated Indie Games or Indie Horror category would make it much easier for smaller creators and developers to gain visibility.

There are so many high-quality survival and horror experiences that never reach a wider audience simply because they get buried under bigger releases. Having a genre-based category would help viewers who specifically enjoy atmospheric, survival, and experimental horror games discover new content more easily.

As someone who follows survival-style games closely, I’ve seen how niche communities grow when discoverability improves. Even games like Last Day on Earth built strong communities because players could actually find related content and gameplay breakdowns. For example, I’ve seen detailed gameplay and feature discussions here:

When content becomes easier to find, both creators and developers benefit. An Indie Games category would definitely encourage more experimentation and creativity on Twitch.

Hope this gets considered!

I came here about to make this suggestion myself. Instead, I find myself rallying behind you. Let's go! It only makes sense if we have a "retro" category for a variety of retro games, we should have an "indie game" category, for the variety of indie games out there that get no followings with their own categories. This way, more exposure to new games, and that's a good thing!

I completely agree with this suggestion!

Indie games, especially horror titles, often struggle with discoverability on Twitch. A dedicated Indie Horror Games category—similar to how Retro Games are handled—would greatly benefit both indie streamers and developers. Many viewers love discovering unique indie horror experiences, but without a centralized category, these games remain hidden.

Having an Indie Games section in general would also boost visibility for smaller studios and content creators, allowing them to reach a broader audience. Twitch already supports genre-based categories, so expanding this to indie titles seems like a logical and beneficial step.

Additionally, for those looking to explore creative indie gaming experiences beyond Twitch, check out https://avatarworldmodapk.org/avatar-world-apk/ a unique virtual world offering immersive gameplay and endless possibilities!

This change would be a win-win for both players and creators. Hope to see this implemented soon!

I love that this simple request was added over 2 years ago and still no dice...

absolutely right, its my primary content is promoting new indie games in the horror genre

New to streaming, and I love playing indie horror games.. Its what I mainly play. Sad to see no Category for Indie Horror games. Or just horror games in general..

I like the idea and would definitely use it

i'm actually using "retro gaming" for indies games and i wanted to figure if there were a better solution?

Sure. Twitch don't give a sh!t and we will never see the idea

Indie horror is constantly being innovated. Not only that but recent surveys have shown a very large uptick in the popularity of horror games in general, and this is no doubt due to indie developers.

So regardless of providing a community with their own category and the benefits therein, you can also leverage this opportunity to increase Twitch's own exposure and coverage of a continuously growing and evolving genre.

Would love this! There's a huge community within indie horror games!

Oh yes this would be excellent.

I really like watching indie horror games but can't really find those on twitch. Would like to discover new streamers who stream indie games.

I really hope we can get some movement behind this. We need this category so bad!

This is a fantastic Idea!

Phenomenal idea!

This would help grow a community closely associated with YouTube's culture grow on Twitch too so that the two can feed into one another.

Please twitch.. do this one thing right..

please help out my indie horror gamers!!! <3
