Mute sound / video of recommended streams on the main page, before entering the site, in the settings
I went to the main page of Twitch and automatically, on the main screen, they began to show me a stream of a certain "buster" who was shouting deafeningly. How can you turn off autoplay of such junk content?

Please give an option to remove the "featured tab" from the dashboard. Or at least an option to have it muted by default.
Would very much appreciate this :)

I also do not like auto play for the same reason suddenly hearing screaming on the front page makes me want to avoid twitch altogther

Really wish I could disable twitch front page recommendations or at least be able to click not interested so twitch knows what i want on my front page.

Please enable the option to not autoplay video and/or audio on the homepage. I'm tired of video playing when I go to the homepage, especially from people I don't follow.

it drives me nuts, I do not care about random popular streamers. I want to watch the streamers I follow!!!

I'm using firefox blocking autoplay of both audio and video as a per site setting. not sure if Chrome based browsers have the same feature. and app users can't do anything about it.

Twitch staff is obviously having a great laugh at their users' expense. They know very well that we don't want the carousel, but they purposely continue to evolve it to be ever more intrusive.

It's always incredibly frustrating when any website starts playing a video the user didn't ask for, and even worse when there's no way to stop it. Please stop.
Edit: Oh my god it's worse, muting the random autoplayed channel KEEPS the page muted after you click the channel you actually want to watch? Why??

So much this. Meanwhile, people using Firefox can revoke autoplay permission to Twitch.tv and use AdBlock/uBlock Origin to get rid of the carousel.

This is still an issue. The last thing I want when loading a webpage is to have some random Norwegian DJ blasting music through my speakers.

Yes please! This is so annoying ... and the channels are never something that I'd watch myself, it's totally unrelated. Recommended channels and "X's viewers also watch" are what is useful

I would love if it would stop autoplaying because I can't even count the amount of times I've gone to twitch.tv at 2 AM and got the worst jumpscare of my life because some european DJ is bass boosting his zelda remix on the front page

How about listening to what your users have said countless times for 4 years and let us disable video autoplay without 3rd party plugins? Currently over 500 votes on the top proposal.
