An error occurred while saving the comment amon_san commentedI'm using firefox blocking autoplay of both audio and video as a per site setting. not sure if Chrome based browsers have the same feature. and app users can't do anything about it.

i can offer a workaround if you use ublock origin. use the picker tool to remove the emote you don't want to see. it writes an individual filter to your preferences and disables loading of that image url.
of course this will not work if you're on mobile and use the app.
