I have never once watched a DJ stream, and yet every time I load twitch that's what's blasting garbage at me. I hate that kind of music with all my soul, so I spend the first half hour of whatever stream I wanted to watch annoyed at the 10 seconds of ****.

I dont wan't to autoplay anything on the "home site", that i don't watch!!!!! several stream's are lodaded (even if i ever open a link of that game...) when i'm on the home page, i just want to watch, what i want to watch.. and yes! it's on purpose, u guys don't have a idea that this is a BUG!

This. It's so annoying, especially as I've never seen anything interesting in the video that starts autoplaying.
I can't even block it properly with an ad blocker. An ad blocker just hides the autoplaying video but the sound still plays. This is one of the most frustrating features of Twitch.
Every time someone visits your site, you blast them with some random sucky stream with sounds on.
It's a bit like if you were going to a store to buy a specific thing, but the second you step through the front door a representative of some random product you have no interest in starts yelling at you through a megaphone. Would you keep visiting this store or buy your stuff from somewhere else?

Autoplay with sound is so annoying.

Just came back to Twitch after a while and saw that they'd done this. Used Adblock to disable the entire banner.

Done with twitch until this is changed.

Please add an option to disable autoplay for the viewer. This way those who want it can still have it but those of us who don't want it can turn it off. Thank you!

OR give options for those who don't want it to turn it off.

I always thought this site was horrible, but with this stupid option I realize that I was right ... It is ridiculous that we have to opt for a browser extension instead of you guys making this optional. FIX THIS, NOW.

I just signed up to twitch, I didn't know about this awful feature. I probably won't use twitch much due to this.

Even if you don't disable the autoplay video, please at least disable the autoplay sound.

Agreed. It's irritating for a page to blast audio and waste data by streaming anytime I haven't navigated to a page for that purpose.
