1. Update "Shogi" category description

   Shogi (将棋, shōgi), also known as Japanese chess, is a two-player board game in the same family as International chess and Chinese Xiangqi, and is native to Japan. Shogi means general's (shō) boardgame (gi). In early years, however, shogi was written 象棋 (the same as Xiangqi, "elephant chess").

   The earliest predecessors of the game, chaturanga, originated in India in the 6th century AD, and spread from China to Japan, where it spawned a number of variants. 2. Unattended Streams

   Unattended streams are expanding. This includes anything where the streamer is never there or away for an extended time and there is little to no interaction with them. Some examples are: reruns, sleeping, AI powered, CCTV & scenery cams, traditional TV & radio stations, and anything else pre-recorded outside of Twitch. These streams need to have their own place so that viewers know what to expect. For those interested, to be able to find them easily, and those not interested, to know they can move on. There are a couple dedicated categories for this, Always On and Twitch Plays, but they're not widely known and are used very little compared to Just Chatting and the multitude of Video Game categories that are being misused for these unattended streams. What I propose is a new Unattended directory which should include the two existing categories and a few new categories reflecting the examples I've given above.

3. Videos tagged under specific game category

   I've recently noticed that many videos tagged with the name of our game have been removed and don't appear when you open the category of the game. There are videos around but they don't appear if you are following that specific game category, which makes it look like there are none. It would be really helpful to have this fixed, as it was working before and it recently changed.

4. New Category: Pool Party

   I'm aware others have made similar suggestions for an 18+ category or whatev to displace sxy, but not sexually suggestive (unless you view the female body as sxual by nature, which is an entire can of worms in and of itself), hot tub streamers. However, I don't think that actually applies to women who are just sxy, sitting on a banana, as an 18+ category since they do not realistically meet the criteria of prn, or even softcore prn. That is, of course, ignoring the delusional people who exaggerate, equating the front page of Just Chatting to Chaturbate. Anyone who is socially honest knows the two are not alike at all via a simple Chaturbate search. After all, sxy women in thong bikinis, sitting on banana floats, aren't censored at a public beach, at a public hotel pool, or even on daytime television. Church, yes, you can make that argument.

   That said, I think a Pool Party category for streamers engaging with any body of water, regardless if there's an actual "party" or if it's just one person, fixes multiple gripes and also makes visibility improvements for everyone.

   Reason 1: Creating a "Pool Party" category removes them from the "Just Chatting" category, which should (in theory) appease crybabies like QTCinderella from claiming they are causing harassment for non-hot tub streamers. Despite sxual harassment existing prior to the hot tub meta, and those harassers likely intentionally trolling her for this reaction, and who also deserve all the scrutiny.

   This could prevent a lot of tension and resentment building in the community. If these streamers still continue to cry, we know they're hypocrites moving the goal post, despite already knowing they're hypocrites.

   Reason 2: Creating this category would increase the potential visibility for everyone. Removing hot tub streamers from Just Chatting allows everyone else a better opportunity to grab a spot in the higher ranks of this category. Simultaneously, hot tub streamers will have a constant and consistent chance of maintaining high visibility because the category will likely maintain high numbers because, as has been proven, people want to see sxy people in sxy attire, THUS, keeping the category high in the browse section.

   In addition to also making it easier for people who want to find a hot tub girl, the fresh, new category would be a new opportunity for new and old hot tub streamers to get in on monopolizing the new viewership before it becomes saturated. We see this with new video games all the time. If you're one of the first to stream in the new game's category, you garner a massive viewership that can translate to permanent, long-term viewers.

   Two birds, one stone.

   Just wanted to reach out and let you all know that we do now have a new category called Pools, Hot Tubs, and Beaches. As with all content on Twitch, creators must abide by our Nudity & Attire policy. Please consult that policy for details on what is and isn’t permissible.

5. Offer services to streamers

   Create a directory that would allow the offering of services to streamers (and vice versa - let streamers show the services they are looking for).
   Service examples may include: community moderation, graphic/merchandise design, website creation, digital marketing, use of languages, video and animation, audio, manager services and similar.

   The idea is beneficial because it would allow creators to look for services for a better price, in exchange for publicity or a moderator role. Moreover, it would allow streamers to find qualified people that are closer to their own community or Twitch culture.

   One additional feature of such a directory could be a showcase of the service provider's current subscriptions or channels (s)he follows, which would allow better filtering options.

   i dont like that there is no image for the category of pajama sam no need to hide when it's dark outside, It is a game that is streamed quite often and then there is no image and I think that is a pity. I hope you can add an image to this category.

7. Re add "Persona 4: Golden" as a game; remove "Persona 4: Golden Solid Gold Premium Edition" as a game

   "Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4" is not the same as "Persona 4: Golden", even if the games are largely similar. Persona 4: Golden adds new content, characters, etc., and one of the characters is re-dubbed. In addition, it makes zero sense to have the limited edition of a game be its own separate category, when the regular edition isn't.

   Add Age of Empires II to Esports Directory

   Age of Empires 2 has a long-running history of an active and competitive multiplayer scene with a wide bevy of players that have built large, avid followings of viewers who love to see the game played competitively. The scene also has a strong tradition of organizing competitive tournaments & show-matches amongst players.

   Currently, AOE2, has 20.6% more viewers than Starcraft II and as far as I can tell, Starcraft II is the only other RTS listed in the Esports directory.

   AOE2 is a great compliment to join Starcraft II as the second RTS Esport on Twitch.

9. Per-Console/Platform Meta-Categories

   Every console and platform should have its own category, especially older ones.

   If you look at Retro right now, you'll find over 20 years of games represented because "Retro" is a poorly-defined term- it means something different to everyone. For many people that makes it fairly useless for discovering new interesting streamers.

   Conversely, people generally know what Atari 2600, SNES, PSP, Dreamcast, etc. are, so it would be nice if streamers didn't need to resort to the punt category and getting buried in the noise (which sucks to sift through as much as it sucks to be stuck in). This would also help give better visibility to legacy computer platforms, making it easier to find the rare PC-98 streamer or people showing off cool old DOS games. Moreover, it would be helpful for people doing themed streams like "GBA Roulette" or "Trying new PC Engine games".

12. Why is "Hitless" a banned category?

    Self titled, why is "Hitless" banned from being used as a category? I'm certain this is a bug, because if it isn't, then it was just an incredibly poor decision.

    Team Hitless is an entire group of no hit runners, and have a Twitch Team established. Damageless is allowed, NoHit is allowed, Deathless is allowed, even "Hitlesss" is allowed which further leads me to believe it's a mistake.

    I think if somehow on the very off chance this isn't a bug, Twitch should really consider what they were thinking when making that decision.

13. Maitetsu (Visual Novel) on IGDB, but doesn't show up as Twitch category

    Not sure if this is a bug or not, but this PC game does not appear as a category for streamers in streaming apps such as Twitch Studio or Streamlabs OBS.

    It DOES appear when editing categories for VODs, but when you save it doesn't stay. It appears as "Maitetsu"

14. Pole Dancing, Twerking & Popular Dances / Performing Dance Arts

    With the new guidelines regarding sexual content streamed on Twitch, and the green light to twerk and pole dance, it is safe to say that it is time to add a separate category for this type of content. At the moment, channels are streaming twerking videos under the art category. Viewers expect to see people drawing or painting when they click the art category, not twerking/dancing. This type of content just doesn't go in the same category as Drawing/Painting. It would be nice for streamers providing twerking and pole dancing as part of their content to have a category of their own and develop an audience catered to them in the process.

16. Sakura Taisen: Atsuki Chishio Ni

    Beginning around this month I started streaming a game called "Sakura Taisen: Atsuki Chishio Ni", its the PS2 version of the Original Dreamcast game "Sakura Taisen" known to be a Japan-exclusive. When I began to stream the game I had no problem finding the correct category being the name of the game itself as I mentioned (Sakura Taisen: Atsuki Chishio Ni). Recently I went back to stream the game again and I found that the category no longer existed. My hope is to recover the category so I can stream the game with its proper title. Though the game may be niche, I want viewers to experience my stream with the correct game title.

    There is a "The Tomorrow Children" category, but no "The Tomorrow Children: Phoenix Edition" category.

    "TTC" is no longer in service and is no longer playable.
    I would like to see "TTC PE" added as a category, which is newly released and currently playable.

18. Separate music categories

    Separate music categories further please.
    Music is an ever growing topic on twitch but frankly people producing music, engineering music, and displaying/educating on the creation side are being drowned out by radio stations (which I believe should be its own standalone category) and by musicians doing covers/DJ’s.
    I believe musicians/DJ or music performers should be standalone
    And radio stations.
    Let’s be honest. The radio stations are largely driven by bots and chat related activities such as mini games etc. I’ve stopped by several and there isn’t a lot of active content being created by the streamer. Not to discredit those communities in any way but the music production community is very tight knit and share a very active roll in engaging with its viewers. Largely it just feels like apples and oranges when comparing radio station communities to music producer/engineer communities.
    However there is little to be done to stand out aside from hoping the viewer utilizes tags in their search which in my experience is very unlikely. I believe both musicians/DJ’s/music performers being standalone as well as music production/engineering being standalone will significantly benefit both communities immensely.
    And I don’t believe isolating the radio stations will be harmful in that regard. To me it feels like a very established group in comparison.
    To add there have been a few somewhat recent additions to the music production and engineering list of streamers who are either very big or substantially larger than the majority of production streamers. This is awesome and I love it. There are a ton of people consuming this content on twitch who would probably not be on twitch at all if it weren’t for them (timbaland, decap, kennybeats, etc.) however if those people coming look to existing discovery as a means to further consume production content after these big names go offline they will be sorely let down with the existing layout.
    This is a category that is on the verge of blowing up imo. Easily look at internet money on YouTube. A group that made tutorials and saw so much success and got signed to a major label because of it.
    The MASSIVE advantage twitch has over YouTube in this category is its live interaction. Music production and engineering is always extremely situational meaning you can’t always say “this is how you do this technique, or do this every time” everything depends on a vast majority of variables that is just not practical to break down in a pre recorded video to meet everyone’s needs. The ability for a viewer to ask their specific needs or to ask for me to reexplain something or elaborate further is unprecedented in online music education like this. It’s the entire reason I started streaming production. Because videos always cut short that little piece of info that the creator could have easily answered had they known it needed answering.
    The amount of viewership these tutorials get on YouTube is staggering. And it would be tenfold on twitch if we were given some tools to help us shine.
    I would love to talk to someone more in depth about all of this.
    But to start help separate us so that we can be seen amidst a lot of similar looking categories that we are actually very different from

19. Restore the categories for the .hack//IMOQ PS2 games

    I've been playing through the original .hack quadrilogy on Twitch since May, but recently, the categories for the entire series were deleted from Twitch:

    .hack//MUTATION (Part 2): https://www.twitch.tv/directory/game/.hack%2F%2FMUTATION%20-%20Part%202/videos/all
    .hack//OUTBREAK (Part 3): https://www.twitch.tv/directory/game/.hack%2F%2FOUTBREAK%20-%20Part%203/videos/all
    .hack//QUARANTINE (Part 4): https://www.twitch.tv/directory/game/.hack%2F%2FQUARANTINE%20-%20Part%204/videos/all

    I don't see any categories that are supposed to replace them, and when I asked support what happened, they told me to post my "feedback" here.

    Can you please restore these categories, or create an overarching category for the entire quadrilogy?

20. Minecraft categories

    Recently twitch has removed the "Minecraft" Category and made it "Minecraft: Java Edition" there are a lot of players out there who play Bedrock and while they have added "Multiplayer for Minecraft PE" it doesn't always fall into that category

    please add either "Minecraft: Bedrock Edition" or have a global "Minecraft" category.

    We actually addressed this last year by bringing back the main Minecraft category, but forgot to close this out.
