Please add a 'Live Reading' category
As it says - there's a whole community of us who do Live Reading on the platform, with a substantial audience for it as well.
Be it books, poems, articles, funny stories from reddit, or whatever else.
Yet we have to use the category 'Just Chatting' and add the 'Reading Aloud' tag.
Given that there's countless categories for super-niche hobbies and content, a proper category for the most universal hobby in existence would be good (especially as lots of lurkers enjoy live streams almost like a podcast or audiobook anyway).

I want to add a Reading Category, Here’s why before you guys think this is a stupid idea:
1. Audience Engagement: If you enjoy reading and want to share your literary interests with others, the reading category on Twitch provides a platform to engage with a community of like-minded individuals. You can discuss books, authors, and literary themes, fostering interesting conversations with viewers.
2. Content Variety: Twitch is predominantly known for gaming, but maybe incorporating the reading category could add diversity to the platform. By sharing your reading experiences, recommendations, or hosting book club sessions, you contribute to a more well-rounded content library and attract viewers who have an interest in literature.
3. Educational Opportunities: Reading on Twitch can be educational, particularly when it comes to discussing non-fiction books or educational resources. You can offer insights, provide summaries, and even hold Q&A sessions to help viewers understand complex topics or gain knowledge from the books you read.
Lastly, Networking and Collaboration: The reading category allows you to connect with other book enthusiasts, authors, and literary influencers. By streaming your reading sessions, you may catch the attention of people within the literary community who share your interests. Collaborations, interviews, or even participation in virtual book events may arise from these connections.

I agree. Most of my streams are reading books in the public domain and I’d love to be able to find more streamers to raid into.

As NoCategories commented below: there IS another suggestion with a lot of votes.
But the purpose of this suggestion here is for a READING category, which is quite different. The requesters in this suggestion are asking because they are already reading books aloud but are hard to find since they are scattered through Just Chatting, Reading Fun (a defunct educational game with no information) etc. Additionally, just using the tag Reading pulls up a lot of gamers who read the game chat aloud, not books. -

There are a few steps you can take to ensure that your essay will stand out from the rest so check https://topwritingreviews.com/ reviews. One of these is to use critical thinking when writing your essay. Using this method will show that you've engaged with theories. Another way to practice critical thinking is by reading literature reviews. In literature reviews, authors do more than summarize previous studies. They provide a critical perspective, often pointing to a gap in the existing research that could be filled by your own research.

Using an outline will help you keep your ideas straight. It's also important to use transition words. This will help the reader understand the flow of the essay. You should also include topic sentences or hire
https://www.trustmypaper.com/ , which are like mini-thesis statements. These are usually the first sentences in a new paragraph. The topic sentence should summarize your main idea and be supported by evidence. -

I am also in favor of creating a category of books, because books are a source of knowledge, and now it is very important. It is as important as using writing services review https://literaturereviewwritingservice.com/ In college, it is important to be the first to get a scholarship. Therefore, you should not refuse help, you should use the smallest chance to get a job in the future

Hi Twitch: to clarify the need for a Reading Books or similar category- a lot of us use Reading Fun, technically it is a game (see IGDB) and they refuse to recognise it as a non-game category. Looking at how many videos are in the Reading Fun category, of people reading books NOT playing a Reading Fun game there are hundreds and hundreds https://www.twitch.tv/search?term=reading%20fun&type=videos
Categories such as Just Chatting, Makers & Crafting, Art, Music, ASMR etc all have their own "cover" image and are used as the category for that activity.
Requests have been made for a specific "reading" category since 2016, with varying numbers of votes.
The reason this request isn't getting many votes is because EVERYONE thinks Reading Fun is the right category, instead of being a random orphan game that IGDB claims it as. -

I am only in favor if such a category is created it will be a plus for me as it will benefit me in my writing skills. But sometimes I use help writing essays in college https://www.bestessays.com/ It would be good to create such a category, and I would be grateful if you would create one

This is already a thing called “reading fun” and as books have copyright you are just unable to read them outloud unless their copyright is over which there is a site you can go to that gives which books are no longer under it. Generally any books from the 1920s up to present are currently under such law and cannot be read aloud. You can google search books no longer under copyright in order to read out loud on stream.

Books are just a necessary tool for me, because now the educational process is computerized, and it helps me in this. Therefore, any help can be useful, especially since difficulties often arise in the educational process. This is especially true of writing, and proofreading services UK https://www.essaygeeks.co.uk/proofreading/ helps me solve them. It's great to have a source I can turn to for help at any time.

It's a great idea to create a "Books to Read" category.
Because I am a professional writer and I work for one good service that gives people the opportunity to take essay samples https://writingbros.com/essay-examples/human-trafficking/. I often carry a notebook with me to jot down new ideas, or observe to jot down my ideas. I am currently trying to do this on a tablet using your app. -

Dear developers, I come from this forum to suggest the creation of the category "Reading Books" and/or "Reading", which can be any book theme, since there is no specific category, making the streamers that do the sprint readers have to categorize their livestream as "Just Chatting", thus being a little out of step with what they actually do livestream.
With this new category being suggested, it is to help those who read books and the like to be able to categorize correctly and facilitate their audience and, why not, new people discover and create appreciation for reading, which brings numerous advantages. -

Don't know if I can't vote due this being closed, but I have experienced much trolling from not using an appropriate category for reading a book on stream. It doesn't fit in Just Chatting and it doesn't fit into ASMR - which simultaneously resulted in an established ASMR streamer suggesting I was clogging up their category with poor quality content. PLEASE add this category, there are so many people who enjoy listening to people reading or who love hearing stories and poems.

Strongly support this. Books are awesome, and should be shared more!

I'm unable to vote and I'm not sure why even though I am logged in. I vote for this category very strongly as someone I follow often does reading streams but 'Just Chatting' brings in abusive trolls and 'ASMR' gets people constaantly complaining that it is not ASMR. This is something I also would like to start streaming myself, but without a category it feels like I'd rather not after watching others get abuse for it
