Programming should be a seperate category from Science & Technology
Every time I am trying to find a programming or game development stream to watch (which is a very specific type of stream) I get lost in all the growing plants and raising chickens 24/7 streams. While on the other hand there are a lot of programming and or game development streams that really deserve their own category. Being a part of the live-coders community I feel that splitting science & technology in a more granular way would benefit everybody. Both in terms of search-ability and clarity.

push all 24/7 streams into a category of their own and ENFORCE it. You should call it the... 24/7 Category.. it's a no brainer.

this needs to happen it is still annoying to look through science and tech a try and find coding stream amongst the mass of live animal and 24hr streams

Yes! Yes! Yes!
I used to regularly check the Game Development community for new/smaller streamers to watch. Now, they're lost among the constantly growing 24/7 streams, and so I stick with those at the top.
And I'm only able to do that because I use an extension that allows me to press 'X' to never see that stream again. I have over 100 channels blacklisted at the moment, and that only keeps the first 4 rows of channels clear.
tl;dr - Science & Technology is harming discovery of newer channels because it's such a broad category. And tags aren't the solution.

Up, please. I'm sick of 24/7 streams calling themselves science streams.

Agreed. There is a lot of great programming content, and the community is great. Same with the ethical hackers. Both great groups and deserving of their own categories. It would encourage more others to contribute their specialties within the category as well.

I know we can use the appropriate tags for further filtering "game development" or whatever, but that stuff is very easily missable to do, and I'll bet many potential viewers don't use tags to filter while browsing.

Maybe call it "dev" so game dev and programming and other software related stuff can all go somewhere without the chickens

I feel weird every time I select Science & Technology as the category when I'm going to program. I mean, sure, it's a bit of technology, but science? I feel I have to rely on the programming, software development and web development tags, but a Programming category would just make more sense to me.
