  1. I am part of 2 communities that use the beta GIF keyboard for tier 2 and tier 3 subs. The experience on both channels has been subpar.

    1. A 30 second cooldown per user does not prevent spamming. The cooldown should have been made global.

    2. There 100% needs to be an individual user control to turn them off/hide them. The current controls in place only allow you to stop animation, which also halts animated emotes. This is not sufficient. If you are on the typical laptop with a 13” screen, the chat window is pretty small. Adding banners at…

  3. User stories:

As a streamer I want the ability to prevent a user from chatting in my stream for N amount of days, hours, minutes, seconds after a user has changed their username.

As a moderator I want the ability to view the amount of time that the streamer has configured for preventing a user from chatting after a username change.

As a user I want a warning to appear before I change my username notifying me that I will be prevented from chatting in streams that have this feature turned on for N amount of time.

    As a user…

  4. The amount of time people have been subbed is pretty common to be found, but I also think it'd be cool if you could see how long somebody has been a VIP, mod, founder, etc. This could be optional to the streamer and/or the person in question (via the current chat settings where the displayed badges are).

  5. The Problem:

If there is a non-standard latin letter in a link, link detection ends with the last letter before that non-standard letter.

    For example:
    Link in chat: www.example.de/derötzi
Link dectection generates a link to www.example.de/der and "ötzi" remains as plain text, but the text of the link and "ötzi" is kept together

A fix would be helpfull, for this specific and other letters, for example there maybe letters like ä, ü, ñ, æ, ø, etc that may cause problems with link detection.
(Note: I wasn't able to check myself if these other letters don't work in links, but I…

  6. It would be very helpful if chat mods were able to exceed the 500 character chat limit. This is especially so when trying to input something into Nightbot but having the message to be too long and not being able to say what you want to say.

  7. Allow the "Follower-only Chat (!)" warning to be shown on ALL channels, regardless of you currently following the channel or not following it.

Currently, you only see this notice when you do not follow the channel that is using Follower-only chat. Upon following, this warning/notice goes away forever.

    This creates two issues:

    1. Streamers very often forget their chat is in follower-only mode for days or weeks because there's no visual indicator on the webpage UI unless you click into the cog-wheel menu. This may cause reduced chat activity or leave a bad impression for new viewers.

    2. When a streamer who…

  10. You can aktivate the mode direktly there where you type your message in.
Now if you speak all that you are saying turns into text for the chat.
We got the idea toghether from GTimeTV: https://www.twitch.tv/gtimetv

    Commands:

Commands are actions that you are saying and something than happens.

    • Start: Start the speech to text.
    • Stop: Stop the speech to text.
    • Send: Send the text to the chat.
    • Clear: Clear your text.

IMPORTANT! The command will only be executed if you don't say the word in one sentence!

    For example:
If you say "please stop it" nothing happens.

    But if you…

  11. Can we have an option to turn off the highlight on monitored users for moderation? It especially is useful for the streamer as the person being suspicious shouldn't draw the streamer's attention more than other viewers.

  12. It's very apparent that Twitch has updated the way it counts viewers. Many streamers have shown their distain about this update because their viewer averages have dropped, and checking the viewer list will show that sometimes twitch only shows about 35% of the total viewers. (statistic from https://x.com/cozyzozie/status/1973191659757379610).

I understand the necesity of removing viewbotting from the platform. However, removing viewbotting should NOT effect streamers that do not viewbot. Until you have a better way to consistantly remove viewbots from counting as viewers that doesn't effect legit viewers, you should not impliment a change like this that will effect…

  13. I think shared chat is great for connecting different streamers communities and streamer bots are good and a necessity for most streamers.

The downside is that with shared chat, the individual command bots in each channel can easily overtake a shared chat depending on how many streamers are using shared chat together. Constantly you'd see a wall of text from another streamer's chat bot in a different stream you're watching because of shared chat.

I know that there's command bots that have a bot badge included. Would it be possible to add an option that keeps their messages limited to…

  14. Shared chat during a Stream Together session needs feature support to not show !commands or chat spam like repeated messages that may come from bot commands which don't belong in Collaborative chat experience.

Maybe all secondary user accounts that act like Bot accounts should have to be be verified so they can eventually be flagged and filtered for Stream Together shared chat.

While watching Dan Clancy's shared chat during TwitchCon Partner Party, it was impossible as a user to 1) read chat, 2) much less have the streamer even care or pay attention to a chat that had so much…

  15. Allow streamer to control what powers moderators have over their stream/chat/bans/unban requests/stream settings etc. After the recent change where banned users are forced to unfollow the channel, moderators have too much power over channels and hold enough power to destroy a channel. I do not feel comfortable modding users after this change, but my chat lacks enough moderation due to this issue.

Hacked mod accounts or vengeful mods have the power to ban all users in a streamer's follower list, thus forcing these followers to unfollow the streamer. Banned users also mean an unfollow. This gives mods extreme power that…

  17. Adding new features that punish backseating is shortsighted and ignores that many users simply don't know better yet and would behave differently if they knew. A non-punitive, private reminder popup about backseating should be issuable to individual chat users or to the entire chat as a reminder. To describe the rationale more fully, here's a breakdown of the problem and a proposed solution.

    Problems:

1- Many users don't know what backseating is, or do not completely know every behavior the term covers. Many users simply engage the chat and only discover later that what they said constitutes a backseating problem.…

  18. Chat with Twitch and Xbox Series S should have an option of being able to use a controller or use a phone, and you should explain it well to people that don't know how to use a controller and/or a phone. Maybe a window should pop up letting us know that we have the ability to change to phone or controller in the settings or have Twitch open automatically when that option is available. Thanks.

  19. The raid chat highlight experiment is great, but the highlight doesn't need to stick around the entire stream. Limiting the duration of the highlight, either by time (say, 15 minutes) or by messages (say, first 5 messages after the raid) would make this highlight far more usable; as-is, I'm tempted to disable it, since my regulars are getting all their messages highlighted because they came in with a raid at the start of stream.

  20. It would be a great quality of life for Ultra Wide Screen users to have a twitch chat window where you can edit the width size. Currently, If you are watching a vod with 21:9 monitor/resolution, you get a lot of black portions on your screen and the chat windows is barely readable. On live streams, you can just pop out the chat and place it wherever you feel comfortable but that option is not available on vods.
