Replies don't highlight on mobile Chat replies was added to mobile some time ago. However, they don't highlight in any way for the person being replied to. @mentions do highlight as bold, and replies highlight on pc, but not on mobile. This makes it very easy to miss if someone replies to you're message, and forces you to read the small text above every message to figure out if it's a reply to you or someone else. It would be great if replies made to you were somehow visually distinguished from replies made to other people, in the mobile app.

Limited & Rotating Chat Access for Non-Subscribers I’d like to suggest a new chat feature for livestreams that could potentially increase both viewer retention and engagement.
The idea would be to expand the current subscriber-only chat system by allowing streamers to grant chat access to two additional groups:
- Selected users: The streamer could manually choose certain accounts that are always allowed to participate in chat without needing a paid subscription. These could be friends, family members, collaborators, regular viewers, etc.
-A limited percentage of regular viewers: The streamer could choose to allow a small percentage of the current audience to participate in chat, even if they are…

Colorful username I have been lately really bored with current available colors of your username, so I came up with an idea to give viewers an option to set their username's color to a gradient one or a multicolor (e.g. rainbow etc.).
It could be available for Twitch Turbo members only as an additional options, or there would be an event/drop where casual Twitch users could get an access to set their name to a gradient one for a set amount of time. This could be for a day, a week, or a different length.
I think it would bring a lot…2 votes -
Allow users in Twitch chat to self-moderate their own messages from AutoMod Instead of the Twitch Chat Mods deleting or disallowing your messages in chat to be posted to the Stream chat, we need to have AutoMod remind you without having your message sent for review, as well as letting users choose to delete their own messages themselves without the Mods taking action.
The reason is because users tend to get discouraged on chat a lot and felt like they said something horribly wrong, even if they're not aware. We want to delete our own messages ourselves if AutoMod catches these messages.

Improve mobile app for streamers to monitor chat As of now mobile app is very hard to use to monitor chat, because unnecessary things take up space and are very distracting (such as the "cheer your way to the top!" slider with different messages rotating in a carousel, none of which are needed for the streamer himself, and make me think I got a new message because I see something moving on screen).
Add some option to make the app be optimized to prioritize exclusively showing chat.

Hello Twitch, I would like to suggest adding a feature similar to Discord's "Spoiler" option. The idea would be to allow users to voluntar Hello Twitch,
I would like to suggest a spoiler feature similar to Discord's. Users could hide spoiler messages, allowing people who want to avoid spoilers to ignore them while those interested can choose to reveal and read them. This could also help moderators by reducing the need to remove spoiler-related messages.

Conspiracy Mode Channel Points Power-Up that lets viewers send messages visible to chat and moderators, but hidden from the streamer Channel Points power-up called “Conspiracy Mode.” A viewer redeems it to send a message visible to chat and mods but hidden from the streamer. The streamer sees that a user sent a hidden message, but not its contents. Chat can coordinate jokes, pranks, or strategies. Mods can review/filter. Optional timed reveal later.

Translator To the Twitch Support Team,
I would like to suggest an important feature that could significantly improve the platform and increase global user engagement.
Please consider adding built-in translation features for Twitch, including:
Live video translation / subtitles (CC)
- Automatic closed captions for streams
- Real-time translation of spoken language into subtitlesChat translation
- Option for viewers to translate chat messages into their preferred language
- Ability to toggle original and translated text
This would make Twitch much more accessible to international audiences and help streamers grow global communities more easily. It…

pop-ups to update entering chatters: mandatory creator-controlled popups that require click to dismiss. creator can enable/disable. There are often breaking/emerging situations where creators want everyone who enters the chat to be aware of some key recent information. I know one existing option for this is that creators can pin a message above chat. However, those pinned comments are often not very visible. One possible way to more reliably grab chatter attention is to to give those pinned comments a different, contrasting background color. However, I think a better way to insure that all people entering chat sees any crucial, new info, is if the streamer can enter into the system a "mandatory to read message" upon…

Reward Active Chat Participation with User Ranks Introduce an optional system that rewards positive and consistent chat participation with visible, cosmetic user ranks, similar to chat levels on YouTube livestreams.
Why:
Active chats are a core part of Twitch communities, but there is currently no built-in way to recognize long-term, constructive chat engagement—especially for non-subscribers. Visible chat ranks would encourage participation, strengthen the community.
How:
Users earn ranks based on meaningful chat activity over time.
Repetitive or spam messages do not count toward progress.
Progress is paused after timeouts or guideline violations.
Ranks are cosmetic only (e.g., small badge or label next to username).
Streamers can enable/disable…2 votes -
Shadowban A senior moderator must often balance individual freedom with the protection of the entire community. A shadowban is a sharp, but in certain cases necessary, tool.
Here are the key strategic and psychological justifications for why a moderator might resort to this measure:
1. Containment of Trolls and Attention-Seekers
Trolls thrive on community reaction ("Don't feed the troll").
The Problem: A direct ban often leads to the troll immediately creating a new account (ban evasion) and becoming even more aggressive.
The Solution: With a shadowban, the troll does not realize they are being ignored. They continue to post provocative content…2 votes
